Just what I was looking for!I have been looking for a contemporary lift-top coffee table for years. I am so glad I found this one! Not only does half of this coffee table lift to dining height with storage underneath, but the other half slides sideways, also for storage. I was able to store all of the little necessities that cluttered two snack tables and an end table in my living room. Everything is easily accessible when I need it, and neatly stored when I don’t. The metal hardware that allows one half of the tabletop to slide sideways and the other half of the table to raise is of very good quality. It only takes one hand to raise the tabletop to dining height. Returning the tabletop to coffee table position is also easy. The tabletop hinge mechanism prohibits the tabletop from banging shut.The table and the chrome legs are easy to keep clean. All you need is a paper towel and some glass cleaner and the table looks great.NOTE: The table is also available in white.

Read the descriptionThis entire thing needed to be put together, kind of like IKEA furniture. I did not read the description where it said that so thats my mistake I am just warning others. It looks nice, I don’t think it will be super durable there is already a small chip out of it where a kid plopped a toy on it. It did not cost alot so you get what you pay for. It will be great for someone who uses it for light use, not for a family with kids and pets

Nice looking but not very practicalThe table is really nice, however, it is extremely easily scratched! I wish I would’ve read the reviews before buying it! It is also too low for me, even after it is extended. Now I have to look for a way to make it a bit taller without changing it too much aesthetically. I wish they sold taller legs for the table. I really like the design but it is becoming a bit too much of a hassle for the almost $300 that I payed for it.

Good construction; the legs are solid metalGood construction; the legs are solid metal. Thought the whole thing was gloss black, but only the tops are. Be careful when assembling! the middle section (G) on the inside should have the threaded openings facing the side that will have the lift top. This seems obvious but the instructions don’t really point it out, and I didn’t realize until the entire box structure was assembled.

Wonderful table for the priceWonderful table for the price. Like an IKEA product takes a bit to build it. But we were happy with it’s functionality and quality relative to the price. Note it’s high gloss so if you are worried about scratches this many not be the item for you. Overall my Mom was very happy with it for the price.

Good modern coffee tableIt is a very good looking and versatile coffee table. I’m happy with my purchase. I very much like lift top and slide top features. Give 4 stars because; 1. Dust shows on it! I even think it attracts dust. 2. Putting it together was a bit of a task, even for an experienced Ikea furniture assembler like myself. Instructions were ok.
