DOCAMAZON –
Great table and game board.Looks beautiful and is SO MUCH BETTER than earlier versions of this table. Board now is much lighter color that is easy on the eyes and contrast between the light and dark squares is excellent. Squares are still only 2 inches on all sides which may be an issue for those used to playing on 2 and 1/4 inch square chess boards. Table looks and feels sturdy and is much more solid and steady once it is assembled. Assembly is fairly easy and includes the Allen wrench to drive in the included 8 screws. Also used a ‘threadlocker’ fluid available at big box hardware stores or Amazon to insure that the screws did not loosen over time. All in all a great buy that will add class and functionality to any home. Highly Recommended!

A great table, but arrived damaged, most probably during shipping and handlingThe table is great!! and receives 5 starsSadly came damaged, I am trying to request a replacement part, but have to wait till Monday as I have to work with the manufacturer rather than with Amazon :-(It was packed well, but the box came damaged and explains what has happened. I wish if shipping and delivery people can take a little more care!!!

Damages to both ordersAmazon was amazing with assistance to please me with my purchase. Unfortunately it doesn’t change the fact that the merchandise was not of the greatest quality and condition. The first shipment had a broken table corner. The second had a broken drawer. Just an FYI the table and base are very strong but the drawers are very shabby.

Packaging was fine.I noticed that a lot of the reviews complained about the quality of the shipping materials. I didn’t see any issues in my case. The product had sufficient protection and I didn’t incur any damage. I didn’t have any issues putting together as well. Nice table overall. It would be nice is the backgammon side of the table had a little better spread between arrows.

I think it is a great piece of furniture, that is both lovely and functional.Nice sturdy game table. Color just as pictured. Plenty of room in the double drawers for chess, checkers, and backgammon pieces. Though the the king cannot ‘stand’ in the drawer for the pieces I purchased, I do not think its a problem.*The pieces we purchased: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B273BBE/ in purple and green.. We like them a lot too!I think it is a great piece of furniture that fits well in a nook or small space, that is both lovely and functional.However, there is no extra room on this table top. It can pretty much hold EITHER game pieces, or some beverages and snacks – not both at the same time. Also note that there are small holes in the game board on 2 sides for you to slide your fingers in an flip the board from chess/checkers to backgammon. But the board is square so you may position these either over the drawers or the sides of the table.

Good Table But Bad PackagingThis is a great sturdy chess table. The cherry color looks great too. Its made of real wood so it’s pretty heavy. The squares are average size, and there is plenty of extra room on the table for a clock and captured pieces.However, the styrofoam packaging (which is non-recyclable) was atrocious and made a huge mess everywhere. I mean who uses styrofoam anymore??? In fact, it took longer to clean the styrofoam pieces than to assemble the table! Acme Co. – please get some bubble wrap. Please.

Arrived damagedWasn’t hard to assemble, but not happy that it was paced with fiberglass fill. The table top also came with a very visible chip in it.
