Poor customer service, should give 1 starI received the package and the box was beat up, however when we lifted to bring in house you could there were parts loose inside the box.Before we even opened the box, who were bolts/ screws and washers falling out of the box. Upon opening box found the plastic bag with hardware was empty and open. So all of the hardware was scattered, missing pieces, and a broken foot that screws I to bottom of shelf. I was missing 4 screws, 10 washers of one size and 6 washers of another, in total was supposed to have 24 pieces for each of those. In addition, a broken piece for the foot. I immediately called customer service, who gave me detailed instructions to email the company with photos which I did! No response, for a piece of furniture that I spent $250 on, I would expect better. I ended up going to hardware store matching the pieces I needed and purchasing, additional cost and time!So next part of my review is putting the furniture together, we got to the last piece of shelf to attach And realize the metal is bent and the shelf won’t fit, super annoyed at this point, so I used a hammer and banged it out, still not perfect but we were able to finish the process. Next when we flipped the shelf upright we noticed a piece of the veneer, was pulling apart, so we glued it. We positioned our shelf with that piece facing wall.So yes I have a sturdy shelf, after patching up their product, with no response from the company, poor customer service.

Arrived damaged Difficult assembly Looks nice when assembledBox arrived damaged one leg was damaged. Had husband straighten it out. Directions do not tell you how the 4 shelves fit tougher 2 of them have metal bars on each side 2 of them have metal bars on one side. Match one of each for each tier, I had to take one out because its not clear how they piece together. The holes did not line up with the leg that was bent we had to force the screws to go in a little crooked. I wasn’t willing to wait for a new one to be shipped. Aside from these issues It does look great after its assembled. I do really like this unit.

Good Shelf for the priceGood, sturdy, heavy, nice industrial look. I put it together by myself, but you do have to put the screws for the middle and bottom shelf in up-side-down, which was difficult to do. I wish the shelves were adjustable, standard books are too tall to fit, but movies, or small items should be fine. I found some tins and have my books leaning sideways in them – not ideal, but works just fine.

SolidI read some bad reviews that this came in broken and smelled. Mine came in an excellent condition with no bad smell. Not sure how easy it was to put together because I had someone else do. It is sturdy and looks great. Great value for the money.

Gorgeous & Sturdy!This table is gorgeous! I get so many compliments on this table. It arrived in without damaged to the wood. I was worried due to reviews but decided to buy it anyways. I couldn’t find anything similar locally. This table is everything I wanted. Only thing I would complain about, is the plastic feet. I had to go to ace & replace them. They weren’t good quality and 2 were cracked. Ace had some so not an big issue.

Good DesignVery sturdy frame and shelfs. This should last a lifetime. The packaging was styrofoam outer shell within a heavy cardboard box. There was not a scratch on it anywhere, could not have been packaged any better. Assembled with two people in 15-minutes. There were 8-each hex head bolts per shelf that required fastening under the steel frame. It comes with a hex wrench, no other tools are needed. Build it upside down, top first. The rivets you see in the pictures are already connected. You can see it installed at Amber Lantern Restaurant.

Very sturdy piece—worth the money if you can tough it out from the smellThe product was delivered with no damage at all and was easy to put together. The smell was very strong initially, so much so that we put it togetherness outside and let it sit outside for a day to air out. We still had to open windows when we brought it into the house—-took a week or so to lose the smell.

Perfect for multi-useThe “leave seller feedback” option was not available for this item so leaving a product review instead. This shelf is just what I was looking for to replace my TV stand, book case and curio cabinet (cutting down on furniture). It’s very sturdy, attractive and industrial. I also like that it’s narrow. Assembly was easy but two people are recommended. I didn’t notice any peculiar odor as other reviewers commented. The packaging wasn’t the best and was missing the hardware and instructions. I contacted Acme directly and they sent me both items within a few days.
