If you’re heavy, this is your drafting chairI’m a big guy that was recently moved to an office with standing height desks. I’m 6’2” and 350 pounds. The drafting chairs my company has were not designed for heavy people, and every time I sat down I compressed the gas piston several inches. That left my desk at an uncomfortable height for me and strained my back. I spent hours searching the internet for drafting chairs made for big people and saw this on a list as one of few sub-$500 options. After putting it together and trying it out, I can 100% say this is a sturdy, well made chair. When I sit in it, the piston only compresses maybe an inch or two like a normal office chair. The foot rest is sturdy, and effortlessly supports my entire weight when I step up to sit in the chair at its maximum height. The padding is firm but comfortable. The arms are adjustable in height and have slotted mounting holes so they can be adjusted a bit in and out. That’s about it in terms of adjustability, this chair is built for durability, not bells and whistles that are potential failure points. The seat and back are generously sized, I have a 42” waist and I fit in it with room to spare. I also purchased the roller blade style wheels for it that Amazon recommended, and those are a good addition to the chair, although I’m sure the ones it comes with are fine too. Overall, if you’re a big person that has been afflicted with the latest office ergonomics fad and you need a tall office chair, this is worth serious consideration.

Great chair ring rivets not very strongThis is a very heavy duty chair. Well made. Only issue I had was 2 of the rivets for the foot ring were broken upon delivery and the other two didnt last long once assembled. I installed heavy duty steel vs aluminum rivets all good.

No Regrets but…This chair is sturdy. I am 350 and it doesn’t bend budge or creak a bit. It doesn’t at all feel like it’s struggling to hold me up no matter what level i have it at. I put my full weight on the foot bar to climb up and no movement at all. Arms are adjustable and are perfect for me. I didn’t pay close enough attention to measurements. I bought this thinking it would be used at my desk and then I’d raise it when I worked the counter. At its lowest point it doesn’t fit my desk. But it’s a great chair so I’ll deal with that. My two things to caution you are 1) For me the back of the chair is just a bit too far back. The seat is very large so for me to have my feet on the silver bar my back is not flush to the seat back and it cannot be adjusted to come closer. I just need to put a back rest on it so I don’t get a back ache. 2) I bought the better wheels that Amazon suggested. I think that really makes the chair usable for me. Those other wheels don’t look like they would cut it. I’m really glad that I didn’t blow that much money on a dud. It’s the real deal.

So glad I bought thisI needed a nice, sturdy chair. I have an Ikea Jerker Desk that’s at a higher-than-usual height, and needed a chair that was a little taller. I came across this chair after an extensive Google search for chairs that support large people. Apparently this chair can support 450 lbs. I’m 6’2″ and 240lbs, so that is more than adequate. The seat is large and comfortable… and easily adjustable. When you’re putting it together, you have the option of screwing in the arms to accommodate a wider body. It took 10 minutes to assemble the chair. It was packaged adequately, and no parts were missing. In fact, the chair comes with a few extra screws, just in case.I, too, was concerned when buying this because of the lack of reviews, but wow… I’m impressed. This review was written on day 1 of owning the chair. By the way, the chair arrived at my door-step several days earlier than anticipated… so that was awesome.I will revisit this review at the 6-month mark (if I remember) and/or 1-year mark to see how it’s holding up. But, if you’re on the fence and are looking for a tall, solid, and comfortable chair, look no further. Price is right!EDIT: It’s been 6 months!!! I love the chair. I see that the price went up $100. I paid $279 for it. A great purchase. I find that I have to tighten the arms every couple of months because I’m really hard on them, but other than that… the chair remains sturdy. It stays in place. It’s easy to keep clean. It’s really well built. I don’t think I’d pay close $400 for it… and am grateful I got it for less than $300. But, still a solid purchase if all roads lead you back to this.

Much Better for 6-6, 250lb Me!Just switched this out for another chair (Vari Drafting Chair) and the difference is dramatic. The Vari wasn’t bad, just not proportioned for anyone over 6′ tall (in my opinion). This chair has a deep seat pan so the front of the seat catches me just behind the knees, just as it should. Delivery was very fast (but the box was beat to crap!) and assembly was simple. Gave it four stars on Support as at this price point, the back should be adjustable vertically (it’s fixed).

Perfect for Big and TallI love this stool. I am tall and fat (29 stone) and this stool has shown no wear after using since July 2019. I combined this with the VIVO stand up electric desk, which I also love, and I’ve had the ideal remote work setup for nearly a year, so Covid-19 didn’t alter my work at all, thankfully. I’ve never really cared for foot rings, so I placed a foot stool under my desk and that is a super comfortable way to sit in this chair.

Great Drafting Chair For Big GuysThis Chair is the correct height for my 1980’s Hermin Miller Drafting table. I am big guy at 320lbs. I do not have any problems with the chair or comfort. I am working 10 to 15 hours a day and this chair has been holding up well.

Best Customer ServiceWhen I first received the chair there was a minor issue with the foot rest. I contacted the seller and they fixed the issue very quickly. During the entire process they kept me up to date on the fix. Outstanding service. I highly recommend both the product and the company.

Exactly What I WantedI assembled the seat in about 10 minutes. It is sturdy, and has held up perfectly for three months now. Great support, very solid materials and perfect for my needs. I don’t weigh 400 pounds, (only 200), but I need a reliable chair that rises to the height of a radio studio desk. Absolutely satisfied.

What a value!I was scared to buy this chair with no reviews, but this chair is an excellent value.Very sturdy, all metal except for the seat and back. No plastic. Seat is well padded and very comfortable . Last chair i bought was $450 ish, and this chair is much better constructed and is much sturdier than that one was. It took my son about 10 min to put together. If you need the chair to be 24 inches high, you can remove the foot ring and have a chair a little lower. I highly recommend this chair.
