Bar-Height vs. Counter-Height Stools
What’s the difference between barstools and counter stools? A barstool or bar-height stool has a seat height of 28-30 inches and works best with 40-42 inch bar tops and tall counters. A kitchen counter or counter-height stool has a seat height of 24-26 inches and works best with 36-39 inch counters.
The Right Fit for Your Space
Ensure a good fit for new bar stools with some quick measurements. First measure your counter height (floor to the underside of the counter), then check the Rivet stool’s seat height. Allow 9-12 inches of clearance between the seat height and your counter height for comfy bar seating.

Really cute, comfortable, and priced okI ordered the counter height in dark grey, they really are super cute and everyone in the house finds them comfortable. I thought they swiveled, but that was my mistake assuming my search filtered for me. Duh!They are very lightweight, thinking legs must be plastic with wood grain texture, but they do look nice. I’m keeping them, as they were open box deals and the price was good for what I got.

Unbox and be at your kitchen island in less than 30 seconds because it’s fully assembled!Number one perk of this product is, it’s fully assembled. I literally opened the box and pulled the counter stool right out of the box and slid it under my counter height kitchen “table” and that’s it! The packing box it arrived in is very sturdy with a thin piece of wood in the bottom. The style of the stool is as pictured. Great mid-century style lines and feels durable. The seat and back fabric can be described as textured to the touch with a nubby tweed like appearance. Slight variances in the color of the fabric that are “flecks”, but at texture that provides interest to the fabric. I was conflicted in choosing the lemongrass color because I thought it might be too yellow in color, however I was pleasantly surprised that it is more of a ambiguous in that it could coordinate with yellow or green interiors. My kitchen walls are a celery/sage green color and this stool coordinates perfectly. I also have a variety of greens in my kitchen giving it a monochromatic style so the lemongrass is not a issue for me. Sitting in the stool is comfortable. I feel stable in the stool unlike some that feel like you’re always sliding or having to readjust yourself to remain comfortable. I like the footrest in that it is clad with metal to keep it durable from damage from heeled shoes. Also, the feet are metal helping to keep from being damaged from vacuums. The material and cushion is firm and does not feel like it will sagg. Overall, I love this stool. A great price in comparison to some other traditional brick and mortar home decor stores that I looked at. The fully assembled feature is a plus given that today’s furniture, a lot of it comes having to be assembled unless you can pay a very high premium price for furniture. This is my second Rivet piece and I have been very pleased with the shipping, style, and price of both pieces.

Buy these!I was skeptical of these chairs because the price was so good. I was pleasantly shocked that they are super sturdy, super comfortable, and wipe clean of basically everything! We have had the chairs for a year now and they don’t wobble or have a single issue. I have two teenagers, and two dogs that drool a lot. All food and drool wipe off these chairs so easily!

Beautiful, functional, stain resistant!I just got these stools a few weeks ago and so far I love them! They look beautiful and seem sturdy but best of all spills wipe right off. I have 4 kids and they have really put these to the test with chocolate milk, ketchup, yogurt, and various other nasty spills and so far everything has wiped off with a damp towel. I don’t even remember the stain resistance being mentioned in the description but I’m really glad they are. I had imagined these stools being mostly decorative but my family felt otherwise and decided they were the new best seat in the house. I will update if they fall apart or burst into flames but so far so good! Update: had these for over a year and they still look great!

Cheaply made, legs wobbled, gold caps fell right off, and legs are espresso-notSo I love the color of the fabric and the upholstery was very well made. It was very comfortable and the overall design of the upper chair was very modern. However, I though the legs were going to be black-they’re actually espresso. I also thought the legs were going to be metal-they’re actually wood and cheap wood at that. The legs did not seem sturdy and were already wobbling (not going to hold up with as much hosting and kids we have.) Also, the gold metal caps at the bottom of the legs came off right when I took it out of the box. We returned it as soon as we got them.

Stylish Cushy Stools – But $400?I ordered these on the warehouse/discounted pricing and love them. I would not pay full price because I felt that $400 for two bar stools was ridiculous but then again that seems to be the going rate if you want some sense of comport and style (of which these do provide both). I think I paid around $275 for two and that seemed a reasonable amount since all I do is sit on them. If they did something extra functional like making me breakfast then yeah I probably pay the extra $125.

Perfect Counter ChairI love these chairs and I would buy them again. I purchased 2 for our counter seating. They’re very sharp looking, sturdy but lightweight, and still comfortable for my husband — he’s 6’1 & 240 lbs. so finding furniture that doesn’t brake the bank and is comfortable for a big guy can be challenging. Honestly these look so nice you would think these came from West Elm or Pottery Barn.

Stylish and comfyLooks great and is very sturdy. My only critique is that some of the legs are longer/shorter so they tend to wobble a bit, but it’s nothing that can’t be fixed by a tack or pad on the feet. They are the perfect addition to my mid century style kitchen remodel! And sooooo comfortable
