Dining table as advertisedThe table arrived on time & was well packaged. It was no big deal to put together – just put the 2 top sections together & add the legs. Its very solid, stable & looks good. The only complaint we have is that there are 4 spots on the top that are shiny and are noticeable when the light shines on it but they are only about the size of a small fingernail. There are also a couple of scratches ( more like light gouges) but not very noticeable unless you stare at it. We thought of returning it but the next one could be worse, its pretty heavy & returns are a pain especially when you need to use it. I put a table runner on it with a little plant arrangement and you really don’t notice the flaws. What the heck….we’re going to put a tablecloth on it when we have company anyway. It seats 4 with lots of room and 6 easily. I think it would scratch and dent easily but you can use a black sharpie to touch up scratches. The instructions tell you not to write on it …I mean letter writing not scribbling! I’m going to put a felt cloth on it as well as a tablecloth to protect it from cutlery/glass drops. Overall, we’re pretty happy with it. I have teak chairs with black upholstery and it all looks great in my kitchen. Plus it saved us $1100 on the dining set we were originally going to buy at a furniture store. Friends have commented on the “lovely” new table.

very satisfiedThis was the ‘riskiest’ purchases I’ve made online in that this item had only ONE other reviewer. However, the table’s general appearance (bold/solid) and the one reviewer’s seeming satisfaction lead me to get it. I was looking for an old farmhouse style table, but most which had the style either were poorly rated and looked frail or cost way more than I was willing to pay.Mind you, $300 ain’t cheap, but in general terms and for a heavily used and essential part of the home, I was willing to pay up to that level for a good table.This table is certainly solid. Legs are solid wood. I think the whole thing is solid ‘real’ wood except for the top surface. The top surface is perfectly smooth (no grain) which leads me to believe it’s the one ‘selected veneers’ mentioned in the product description. But it ‘feels’ like wood… ;)As the previous reviewer mentioned, very easy to assemble with easy to follow instructions. I made a cup of coffee and had the whole table together before the last sip of that cup.I bought the ebony/black version and it’s got a nice warm depth to the finish. Good looking table.Ironically, I also got a vanity table which I ordered for my wife the same day. I put both together this morning. The kitchen table came from Thailand and the Vanity table came from Taiwan/China. Guess which one arrived damaged. Her vanity table. The packing of this kitchen table was head and shoulders above what that Vanity table came with. I saw no way this table could get damaged. Very clever packing design.Highly recommend this table to anyone looking for a good, solid, reasonably priced kitchen/dining table.

Almost perfectNovember 2018, This table is very well made, solid and sturdy even with the leaf in, no bowing or sagging.Tightly packaged & heavily to protect it, and came a day earlier than expected. Was thrilled, we put it together in about 30 mins, wasnt bad at all, just several screws to install & tighten up, using patience & it came together smoothly. We are using it as a dinning table, (some mentioned it as a arts and craft utility table I believe.) It is a deep solid black, on the frame and legs not shiny, I love it– other than the top finish, it is flat black feels almost like a black chalk board surface, and it shows even the slightest hand print or touch from the oil or moisture of your skin, foods, etc.I think I am going to purchase an attractive table cover for it so it will class it up a bit, &protect it and clean up easily.

Absolutely beautiful table – we are delighted with purchaseWe just received our table today and we are overjoyed! ….we had been apprehensive due to another review here which indicated that their package arrived beat up and pieces were not in good shape….our package was also a bit frayed at the corners of the cardboard, but lo and behold, when we opened the box, all the pieces were in totally perfect shape, due to the great packaging that was done at the factory (wrapping in styrofoam, etc)…..my husband just spent all afternoon putting the table together……no problem following the instructions…..we took the pieces one by one upstairs from the garage where we had the UPS man leave it…….(quite a heavy, sturdy table so we needed to move it in pieces)……….we have a fabulous table now….it is so sturdy, well-made, and has a beautiful black matte finish……….As empty nesters we had converted a former bedroom on the second floor into an office for my husband, and so now, with the leaf inside, he has an executive size table and he could feel like a big executive again (like when he was working) while he does his paperwork. This table is an incredible value….we had looked at much smaller desks at local stores, much more expensive and absolutely not as solid and sturdy…..We are very happy with our purchase….it also arrived right away….took no more than 3 or so days even though I went with standard shipping….as I said, GREAT, GREAT VALUE!

Good table, great serviceThe table was the size and style I needed and due to the favorable reviews, I ordered the table on a Tuesday. It arrived that week on Friday and was well packaged as others had written. It took longer to unpack the table than to assemble it. I had no trouble with the slides as some people had, even though the illustration on the instructions was incorrect. As the table was unpacked, I placed the 3 tabletop parts face down on padding on the floor in prep for assembly so didn’t realize there was a flaw in the leaf until the table was complete and turned upright. I called the company and was told to email a picture of the flaw, which I did. They emailed back that a new leaf would be mailed within 5 – 7 days. I received the new leaf today, one week later, in pristine condition and don’t have to ship the flawed one back. That’s a big break. I am one happy shopper.

Great Table for the MoneyWe are very happy with our purchase. It’s nearly impossible to find a table this size at this price so was a little skeptical, but it’s very well made and we’ve received nothing but compliments on it so far. It was pretty simple to put together (maybe an hour?); however, settling in the insert was sort of a task and we actually still haven’t completely tightened that piece in…it just wouldn’t budge, but it’s stable even without the last turn. Even still…it’s solid, safe, looks great, and we can easily accomodate six people or more (if we squeeze in). This table is very heavy and you’ll want some help assembling and placing.

Good Quality for the PriceThis table was relatively easy to put together. It’s sturdy and there were no blemishes on any of the legs, table, etc.The only issue I had was there were no pre-drilled holes to secure the sliders underneath the table top. I ended up using it without the sliders being secured beyond the larger hexed screws. Despite that, it’s very sturdy with or without the insert. I liked the fact the insert and table top were already assembled. Only things to attach were legs and the sliders.I suspect I’ll be using this table for many years to come.

It OK for the priceI do like the table quite a bit. I use it in my home office to meet with clients. It’s been a long time since I assembled it but I remember when it arrived there was one block under one of the sections of table that was split underneath where the panels bolt/screw together but it didn’t affect the function of the table so I never bothered to request a new panel. There were about 3 other bolts to accommodate for the split part so it wasn’t worth the time & effort to get a replacement. The finish on top is so-so. It has some scratches already but nothing horrible. It’s OK for the price. Didn’t know dining tables were so expsensive..it’s been too long since I had to purchase one.

Great Table. With a Leaf!I didn’t realize when I got this table that it has a leaf. It was a little tricky putting together and I definitely used my own Allen wrenches as the included one was a little small. Once assembled the table is very stury and looks great. I would recommend place mats or a tablecloth as oil is a bit difficult to get up (definitely possible, but required more elbow grease than any other spilled item).
