Pretty but not functionalIt’s a very unique, pretty piece of furniture. It’s extremely heavy. The reviews I read about others not securing this to the wall are confusing to me. If you so much as bump it slightly it’s going to fall so these people are going to have injured children and damaged floors for sure. If you want to mount it to a wall with a base board you’re going to need to come up with your own way of doing this aside from the hardware provided. We did and it wasn’t a problem but just be aware that you’ll need to be slightly creative if you have baseboards. I love how it looks in my daughters room and that’s why I purchased it, but the actual functionality of the piece isn’t that great. I’ve put a few smaller books and other odds and ends on it for “looks” but it really doesn’t hold all that much. If you want this for it’s look, go for it. If you are more into function then I would pass. The regular price of it that I’ve seen on the web many places is way too much for this. I got it reduced significantly on amazon and while still pretty pricey, it made it reasonable. If the shelves were wider and held more and it was designed to be anchored to walls with baseboards (as MOST people have them!) then this would be an awesome book shelf.

Adorable, great for a modern nurseryI loved the look of the tree bookcase and Babyletto’s version is clean and modern with a smooth finish. I particularly liked the lower height which is perfect for a child.This was relatively easy to install. If you have a baseboard, it’s a bit trickier since you’d either have to install it above the baseboard, cut your baseboard, or install it in front of the baseboard and pull a filler/anchor to make in straight. I’d be hesitant to tilt it at an angle just for stability reasons. We went with the third option, which meant that we bought some extra hardware to do it.Sturdy and looks great! We paired this with the Oeuf classic collection which gives a nice contemporary look.I only rated it 4 stars since the instruction manual could be improved, particularly with the wall installation portion. There are also small subtle finishing details where there was a slight uneveness in some of the shelf seams where they join to the trunk, and the holes at the back of the tree are slightly misaligned with the hardware.Overall I’m pleased with the purchase and we’ve gotten a lot of compliments on it!

Nice sculpture for my living roomNice white tree made of solid MDF that in theory should be attached to the wall which I did not as I use it to decorate only. However if you have children please fix it on the wall for safety reasons: the whole structure is very heavy!!!! It was so easy to build that it took me just 15 min! I like the fact I will be able to undo it easily if I move. It is a beautiful design that fit everywhere. As it is originally made for children bedrooms more of the components are safe and not toxic. The price is reasonable compared to other trees I have seen in shops. The brand is very serious: there is a one year warranty and their contact is supplied with the user manual in case of problems. I am very happy with this purchase as it is a very original piece.

Sturdy, quality shelf. Looks great too.Sturdy, heavy duty shelf. Had no problems with assembly. I mounted it just above the baseboard into the wall studs. It won’t sit entirely flush on the wall with the included hardware, but it’s plenty close enough. Looks great!

Great for the modern nursery!This is everything I wanted in a modern bookshelf for our nursery. I’m not the typical bookcase type of girl, so when I saw this I knew I had to have it for our little girls room. A couple reviews made me nervous after they mentioned the tree wasn’t very sturdy or secure. I decided to try it out anyways and I’m glad I did. Yes, the tree only has 2 contact points to screw into the wall. However, the majority of the weight sits on the trunk of the tree, on the floor. I did not use the anchors that came with the tree and instead invested a few extra dollars into some high quality anchors. These things will not be coming out of the wall. With that said, as long as common sense is used (utilizing better hardware than what came packaged), this tree bookcase is incredibly sturdy and super cute! I’m so happy with it and have received many compliments! 🙂

Really beautiful shelf!Love this tree shelf. My daughter has a woodland themed nursery and this shelf really made her room. We hung it next to her teepee and it looks really fabulous. The shelves are fairly deep and can hold most small hard back little kids books well. My husband put the shelf together in about 20 minutes and he did notch the bottom of the shelf to make it fit flush with the floor over the baseboard. He did not have a hard time notching the shelf though he is a contractor so it may be harder for others that do not have his experience with tools and wood working. All in all, I would highly recommend this shelf.

I haven’t seen a room yet that doesn’t have a …I haven’t seen a room yet that doesn’t have a base board. This looks a bit silly, and I had to remove 1/2″ depth and about 3.5″ from the back to make it fit flush.Overall quality seems solid, with a small blemish on the main tree and one branch. Nothing too drastic or noticeable once put together.

Hug a treeThis is decor with sophistication for your child’s bedroom, yet it is still playful and fun. I love the modern abstract take on this tree design. And If my daughter ever gets too old for it or outgrows it, I would still it keep around in my office for use. Yes, it’s pricy but you pay for the fact that its original and unique and there’s nothing else out there like it. If your child loves to read they will enjoy displaying their favorite books on here- they can also put toys or stuffed animals on it. The construction is solid and well made. The only downside I can think of is that if you have oversized books, you can’t stand them up, you have to lie them down.

Great findLove this cute little bookshelf! Goes great with our woodlands theme nursery! Very easy to put together I basically did most of it at 35 weeks pregnant and just had my husband help me move it and secure it to the wall.
