HUTCH BOWS HORRIBLY WITHIN A FEW MONTHSThis has been put off way too long. I would add photos, but we have personal items on them and really don’t want to move everything, but understand that this hutch will start bowing badly within several months. We didn’t place anything heavy on top or the shelves. Just books and some display items. Nothing that weighs over 2 lbs. I would say this could be a one-off except we purchased two hutches at the same time (we had purchased the matching desks first) and both of them are bowed so bad you can hardly close the doors, if you can. I would definitely not purchase these again and recommend looking elsewhere. Too bad, as they were attractive hutches, but the quality leaves a whole lot to be desired. Out well over $500 now as we will need two new hutches soon.

I am happy with my deskI am happy with my desk, hutch, and lateral file. I am aware of the complaint about the cardboard backing on the hutch. But, look – we only paid $164.00 for it. My last desk set was purchased nearly 20 years ago for less than this. The backing on that hutch was also cardboard. But, that desk set carried me through 20 years as an insurance agent. The lateral itself is sturdy and will last me for many, many years. The antique white brightens up my office and the desk provides enough room to do whatever I need. My only 2 complaints – it takes FOREVER to put together and the cabinets should include at least one shelf. The response to that complaint is the end product – good, sturdy furniture and I could easily add a shelf on my own. If the cardboard backing bothers me down the road, then, I’ll ask my husband to reinforce it with a piece of thin plywood. I think, though, I’ll be just fine.

DisappointedLooks very nice or should I say it did. I have absolutely nothing on top of the Hutch and it starting warping drooping in the middle. I just could not believe my eyes when I saw the sag in my hutch. I was in shock because it had only been one month since I purchased it. I wouldn’t have noticed the bad sagging issue if I hadn’t sat in the chair across the room from the desk area. I am going to call a furniture repair company and have them fix it to make it stronger and sag free. Which is going to cost a pretty penny.I also purchased the 2 of the filing cabinets that match and they are great.I also purchased the matching desk. I am very disappointed in the desk. It looks good but does not function well for a busy office. There is not enough chair space. We have our keyboard and mouse on the pull out tray so when we are in our chair working and need to get in the cabinet or drawers we have to completely move our chair way back out of the way. There is just not enough room. It is such a pain that we do not keep our daily usable items in the drawers or cabinets, which is disappointing. The edge of my chair is only 3 inches away from the desk so I cannot open a drawer or cabinet unless I scoot way back and this gets extremely irritating. I would have returned the desk immediately if I had known about the small space for a desk chair. I will be giving this desk to my son and purchasing another type.Hope this helps!

Great look, average quality, excellent customer serviceSeveral pieces came damaged. The quality of the wood was average. The company was very good at replacing the pieces damaged and the customer service was excellent but it took several weeks to get the pieces

The quality and look is very nice. The value was excellentA bit complex to put together, but worth it. The quality and look is very nice. The value was excellent. The modular system, where you can buy different parts to the whole set, it quite convenient. The delivery of the associated bookshelves was delayed about two months, which I didn’t find out about until after I paid for it. But it worked out. I really do like the desk and the file cabinet is very well made.

well….the first top was cracked when shipped but customer service replaced it and it got there quickly. Honestly, I did not put it together myself- my Father in Law did.Lucky him. Afrter about 3 hours he came out of the garage with it. Al together it’s really very nice looking!!!

Stickered to Death!I’ve already left a review for the desk, now let me tell you about the hutch. Don’t buy it. It’s a nice piece of furniture, again, not substantial enough for an office, especially with the slightly-better-than-cardboard backing that bows when you push something into it. But for me, the deal buster, is the way they mark the parts. You can mark them on the top, bottom sides, or ends–the manufacturer chooses to put them on the finished edges that face the room. There’s a bunch of them, and if you can get them to come off in one piece, they pull part of the finish off. If not, you can see where you scraped with your fingernail to remove the tag. It’s too bad–this is a nice looking piece, but if I had it to over again–I’d pass.
