Nice piece for any officeThe instructions are a little hard to understand – However their customer service if you get stumped is EXCELLENT. Compared to other filling cabinets this looks very nice in my office.

Good unit for Legal sized hanging foldersThis a solid piece of furniture but, for a variety of reasons, I feel that it is a much better buy if you intend to use only Legal sized hanging folders rather than the average Letter sized ones.Pros :- Nice design and a classic look.- Solid piece once assembled- Deep, roomy drawers- Drawers run smoothly and require an extra nudge to flip a switch that seats them tight.- The laminate on the unit I got was undamaged and looks quite attractive.Cons :Assembly – Instruction booklet is very small and so the diagrams are very tiny and hard to decipher. This is not as well thought out as an Ikea booklet. There were many times that the only thing distinguishing one piece from another was a screw hole predrilled in one and not the other. The tiny dots are important! We did find the instructions on line and printed them out full sized and that made things easier.- Very little pre assembly done for you. There were quite a few pieces that could just as easily have come pre assembled to save the customer some time. Ikea has learned to do this and Bush could take a cue from them.Versatility : The central File bar for letter sized files (where the folders actually hang from) is plastic and not secured in place. Once you put on a few hanging folders the bar stays in place but the plastic is doesn’t seem strong enough for a long term solution if you have a lot of folders. All our other file cabinets have metal File bars or a Metal File rack insert to hold the hanging folders. If you keep most of your files in an electronic version, this should not be too much of a concern. However, if you are required to keep hard copies and have a lot of files, I would look for a unit that has metal file bars that can take the weight. Of course, you can buy metal cross rails to replace the plastic ones but, at this price point, I would have expected them to be metal to begin with.- Each drawer will only take one drawer’s depth worth of letter files. Legal sized files hang on a metal lip on the front of the drawer and on the back so they fill the entire drawer. Had this unit been just a few inches wider it could easily have taken two rows of letter files. Hopefully the pictures will explain what I mean. So, this would be a good, solid purchase for Legal files. For Letter sized hanging folders, it is not the best designed unit out there.

Perfect compliment to the rest of my Yorktown CollectionThis is my 2nd purchase of this file cabinet through Amazon. I have a few pro’s and con’s below:Pros:Once assembled, it’s sturdy and works as expected and intended. I love the cherry wood look, and have most of the collection. It compliments my matching Yorktown desk, hutch, bookcases, and other filing cabinet perfectly. I bought those 4 years ago for my home office and they have held up nicely.Cons:Delivery – The driver sat the large box on the edge of my porch, directly in the rain, and didn’t ring the bell. Luckily, I was home and heard his truck and got it moved inside before it was damaged.Product pieces – Everything was there, with extras; however some ingenuity and expertise from my hubby was needed. This involved drilling a couple holes so things lined up, disassembling and reassembling here and there because the instructions were wrong or non-exisistent for few steps, etc.Overall, I still believe this cabinet is worth the money and extra effort to assemble. Just be plan to be home for delivery if there’s a chance of rain or you’ll end up with an Alice In Wonderland desk.

Easy to assembleEasy to put together. A bit wobbly. Do NOT neglect to anchor it to the wall, this is an absolute must. Looks nice, works well. Pricing is fair

Take your time assembling and use the antitipping assemblyThese are as expected. Manufactured pressed boards with thin laminate finish. Look fine and do the job. Just realize they are not heirloom solid wood. They were packaged with adequate Styrofoam, plastic dividers and cardboard.

Attractive filing cabinet for the homeThis is a nice quality filing cabinet for the price. It was mostly easy to assemble, though I became confused by some of the drawings (which isn’t uncommon for me!). I was hoping it would hold two sets of files in each drawer, but it does not seem to fit two across. Maybe I don’t have the right size files? It opens and closes very smoothly and is an attractive addition to a home office.

Nice file cabinet but too many complicationsThere were 2 broken pieces and they are on back order. Another 2-3 weeks to wait for them to be in stock. I was very disappointed. It took my husband about 4-5 hours to put it together and he knows how to put anything together.

No instructions and pieces missingThe package arrived fine and the box seemed FULL. But when attempting to assemble, without instructions because none were included, it was easy to see that some pieces were missing. In other words, I paid for half a book shelf. I contacted Bush to see what they come up with. Will update my review accordingly, depending on the quality of their response. But for now, stay away from this and any other piece of furniture from Bush.

big and solid.wish the file separators had a better way to hang on there but otherwise its good. It would be best for legal files but I use it for regular and can only use half of each drawer. the other half is just a stack of paper. it works and is solid.

Short BookcasesYou get two of these bookcases for your money and that’s probably where the ‘good deal’ ends. Unfortunately both bookcases are VERY short. Much shorter than a traditional bookcase and not worth the money in my mind. We build one and kept the second sealed — think twice about this purchase.
