Terrific water bedI’ve had three or four of these over many years and this is the best one so far.Ordering and delivery were quite easy and timely. In fact, I got it about two weeks before I was able to set it up due to the work needed to finish moving into the new home.Installation was really easy. I think this is pretty remarkable since (a) I’m pretty old (everyone thinks things are hard for us) and (b) I have no recollection of how I did this 30 years ago when I bought the one I just threw away before the move here.I unfolded the bed in the new liner and it fit perfectly. The drain/fill kit was just like my old one, so this technology hasn’t changed much. And it worked fine. The fill instructions were careful to say that when there are a few inches of water in the bed, we should make any positioning adjustments that seem necessary. I don’t think I really had to do any, but I imagined one corner where there was a millimeter of misalignment, so I made that tiny adjustment. The instructions also addressed getting the air pockets out of the bed.But they did not call attention to a feature of this bed that I never had on my previous beds. There are TWO water fill/drain locations on this bed – one on each side at the same end of the bed!So I could probably have avoided the air pockets if I had just opened the other fill point when the bed was about half full and just let the water force the air out. So be sure YOU take advantage of this great feature. Of course, it also means that if you do need to do a little air removal that you don’t have to take the hose off to do it. And this is great help, as you can imagine if you have set up one of these before. It’s really easy to spill a fair amount of water when you remove the hose. And then you have to have someone else hold it while you force the air out and then put it back on (another spill opportunity since the hose should still be full of water) to finish the fill.So this set up was about as easy as it gets.I’ve only spent four nights on the bed, but I had gone a month without it and it was sure welcome to get back on. It is more wave-less than my last one, and this is a nice and comfortable. The top is flatter than the last one, too, which really looked more rounded (like you would expect for a big bag of water). This is nicer. One more thing. I was a little nervous about the size. The bed is labeled King and I know my frame is for a California King. It WAS the right size. So don’t sweat that issue. Of course, I don’t know how it will work if your King isn’t my size!

A nice bed for the priceUPDATE 07/05/2016:One year later:This bed has had nightly use since we bought it. It has held up great! NO leaks anywhere (not at seams or anywhere else) and no stretching or discoloration on the bed from use. It is still supportive and feels like new. We are still very happy with our purchase.INITIAL REVIEW:The bed arrived on time and as described. The picture is a good representation of what we found when we stretched the bed out after opening the box. You can definitely see the extra padding in the middle, but the whole thing does look extraordinarily thin before filling it with water. The set up and fill up was a breeze. All the air was easily pressed out (it has two plugs at the bottom of the mattress which made it very easy.)At first we were skeptical because the bed/padding looked so flat, but honestly it is surprisingly supportive and comfortable once the water is in it. We overfilled it at first and it would wave for about 3 – 4 secs with two large adults on it (over 500 lbs combined). We let some of the water out and it stopped almost completely. Now there is 1 – 2 seconds of residual, very soft wave motion when we get in bed or when one of us moves after we are both in. It is not a sharp/choppy motion at all. It’s quite nice. As mentioned earlier, we are bigger people and there is no sagging in the middle when we are on it and we have not “bottomed out”. It is four days shy of a month since we set it up and there are no leaks or problems yet. We are very happy with the bed and the price.Helpful Note: The bottle of conditioner they send is 4 oz. However, the instructions state that this type of bed needs 8 oz of conditioner on initial setup. If we had known that, we would have bought some extra on Amazon and had it delivered with the bed. We ended up running across town to pick up the extra juice. No big deal really, but it might be useful to get that extra conditioner before the bed arrives.

Buy it best I have slept on yet!!! Made in usaI have always slept on waterbed since my accident. This is the only way I can sleep. Anyway out of all the ones I have bought, I have to say this is higher quality. Sleep is amazing now.

Good thing there are two valvesOne of the valves has messed up threads. Cap pulls off when you try to pull it up

Replacement for a 40 year waveless waterbedAfter sleeping on a waterbed all these years, I am a bit of a princess and the pea. The first night I slept on this bed it was awesome. It was everything I hoped for. I couldn’t believe how comfortable it was. I should have replaced my old bed years ago.

Nice Replacement MattressFirst time to order a waterbed mattress online; just can’t seem to find a brick-and-mortar store anymore. The order shipped quickly and arrived earlier than projected. Seems to be a well-made mattress with very little motion, and matched the description on the web site. I would recommend the seller and this mattress.

NOT waveless lolIt is comfortable yes, but I’ve had water beds before. If you are expecting 100% waveless this is not for you. It is more like delayed waved and not as drastic as just a normal bladder.

Nice mattressNo waves at all. A bit hard for my tastes but hubby likes it

More supportI’ve slept on a water bed for over 30 years. My wife had a problem with the waves and me4 getting in and out of the bed. She asked for a waveless waterbed. So I bought it and assembled it and found it to have much more support. She will be back from the Middle East to try it out at the end of this month.

As represented – and very comfortable!I waited several months to write this review because of a prior bad experience with an online waterbed mattress purchase (not from this company). This experience was much better… mattress arrived quickly, packaged well, and was easy to setup and use. There was a strong off-gassing; so we let the mattress air out for several days before using. Other than that, it’s been great and my husband and I are sleeping soundly. There is a slight “give” when entering or exiting the bed; but other than that, it doesn’t really feel like a typical waterbed. We like the warmth of waterbeds… so now we have the warmth and comfort in one!
