The top piece of the hydraulic piece has to come off to work.I am so grateful for the other reviews or I would have been sending these stools back! My directions did not include the picture showing to take off the top plastic piece to make the hydraulics work. Thank you to the person who posted a picture of their directions!

Great StoolI have read a lot of other reviews on this stool and in my experience I did not have any of the same problems. I in fact liked this stool so much I came back and bought another one to have a matching set for my breakfast bar in my apartment.Things I love about these stools:Easy to clean, I Clorox wipe them down every night to get all the kid grease off themAdjustable heightNo more banging on my granite counter. since the chairs a cushion they do not chip the counter when banged from side to sidethey look great!No cons for me I think they are well worth the price.10/10 recommend

Missing Screw ThreadsOne of the stools was missing the screw thread to properly secure the seat to the post, potentially making it unsafe.

Had to send back…..look elsewhere even though price is goodOk so…I wanted reasonably priced barstools for my first apartment so not really looking for anything super luxurious. Found these and when I got them I had problems with the assembly. The directions have no words just pictures which are fine (im smart enough to follow directions) until I got the the “G” piece – it didn’t really tell you where it went so i just left it out. When i went to put the screws in the holes they didn’t like up with the holes in the stand and I was only able to get 3 to go in. When I finally somewhat had the chair together I tested out the hydraulics – the chair went up but would not go down! At that point I just had to send it back. Very disappointed – its simple instructions if it would have actually worked and the holes lined up but it doesn’t – maybe i just had a faulty one. I would recommend looking elsewhere.

ConfusedSo everything was going smoothly until I got to step 3 letter G. The package gave me 3 washers, I guess in most cases an extra one would be useful if I lost one, but the fact that I only used 1 of the 3 is mind blowing. Not only were the instructions confusing but the holes under the seat and the stool did not line up. There’s only 3 screws instead of four and one less washer. I paid full price for this design of a bar swivel chair and it’s not completely put together. This is super aggitating.

Sorry to say that but …It doesn’t make sense!!!! 100% sure there is missing parts the instructions is very little!!Return is not easy even keeping it as is is impossible it’s very expensive too this should worth maximum $50 !! I’m sorry but no horrible experience that Walmart.com is way cheaper but I will never get this design it’s horrible

Fair product, questionable supportThis stool is pretty light, which speaks to the quality. It seems well enough made, good welds and secure seat covering. The seat itself feels small. I feel like I could fall off the front if there were not a bar or table in front of me.The pictures only directions are a bit ambiguous, so I wrote asking about the placement of two very thick plastic washers. They wrote back within an hour, asking for photos and a parts listing copy with the “missing” parts circled. I wrote back and requested that they forward my email to someone who could speak fluent English as I did not have any missing parts. They have not written back at this time, two days later. I wondered if the thick washers were to go on the front screws to tip the seat back a bit to help with the falling off feeling. That would make the seat not fit flush with the mounting flange, so that didn’t seem right either. So, at this point, I’m not certain if I have it assembled correctly or not. The plastic floor protection ring was out of place upon delivery, but was easy to put back and seems to be holding its place. It does make the stool slide easily on short nap carpet.The pneumatic cylinder works well and offers lots of adjustment so the stool can go from table to bar or hobby work bench. Choose to buy this based on price, features and aesthetics.
