A GOOD CHOICE FOR A PAIR OF MATCHING CHAIRSI HAVE MOVED TO AN ASSISTED LIVING UNIT. I HAD ONLY A SMALL SPACE TO PUT A PAIR OF CHAIRS THAT I COULD REPLACE A PAIR THAT WERE OVER 70 YRS. OLD AND STYLED DIFFERENTLY. I MEASURED CAREFULLY AND SELECTED WELL. THE SCALE WAS APPROPRIATE. THE SHAPE OF THE BARREL WAS NOT CONDUCIVE TO SITTING COMFORTABLY AND I’M CURRENTLY TRYING TO FIND AN ACCENT PILLOW THAT WILL FILL THE SPACE THAT WILL STOP ME FROM SLIDING OFF THE EDGE OF THE CUSHION. THE COMFORT OF THE CHAIR ITSELF IS NOT AT ALL STIFF AND NOT TOO SOFT. THE BONUS WAS LEARNING WHAT BONDED LEATHER WAS AND DECIDING THAT IT WAS PROBABLY SOFT AND DURABLE IF IT WAS CARED FOR PROPERLY(WIPE WITH A DAMP SOFT CLOTH AND OIL OCCASIONALLY). I WAS GRATEFUL TO HAVE SEEN OXBLOOD SHOE POLISH IN MY YOUTH AND RECOGNIZED THE COLOR(DARK RED) SO THAT IT CONFIRMED THAT THIS COLOR CHOICE BLENDED WELL WITH MY WALNUT FURNITURE AND THE BRASS NAILS COMPLEMENTED THE SHINE OF THE METAL TREE THAT OCCUPIES ONE CORNER. THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE THAT I CAN SIT AND ENTERTAIN IN THIS UNIT. EXCEPT FOR THE SHAPE OF THE BARREL CHAIR, I MADE A GOOD CHOICE.

Took forever but perfect in the spaceMy husband and I are re-doing some rooms after 22 years of living in our home.. We are re-purposing an unused small living room as a reading room/parlor type room. I wanted 2 chairs and a table with lamp to sit against 3 large windows we have . My tastes are pretty eclectic so I got a purple velvet tufted club chair and this one. It is a beautiful oxblood dark red. It is slippery to sit in, and wouldn’t fit a tall person but it does look beautiful and inviting which is what I wanted. I mean it for occasional use. and it is perfect for that. I paid around $260 for it and it’s worth that…more, not so much. AND I got it over a month after it was promised so if you’re in a rush, pass on this. It’s a great decorative item that is comfortable for short turns in the chair and fits my small area perfectly. It looks like a pretty red gem and doesn’t overwhelm the space, yet holds it’s own next to the purple turfted chair I bought as its companion. Two very different styles of club chair, they look great.

These chairs are silvery to sit in.I bought these chairs for our rental house. They are nice looking, sturdy and I like the color. However, they are hard and the leather is very slippery. I like the height of the chair, but I’m 5’4”and when I sit on them my feet don’t touch the floor so I slip down. They would be okay for a taller person.
