Beautiful and solidI bought 12 of these chairs (6 orders) for a new dining room table we have. The style is what we like and the reviews were good. There are a lot of chairs like this GDF and all seemed to think the installation was difficult. I have installed plenty of things in my day so didn’t think anything of that feedback.PACKAGING:Excellent. All chairs meticulously packaged and all arrived undamaged and in great shape, despite some holes in the box hear or there (thanks fedex!)INSTALLATION:Read the instructions. While it may seem intuitive, it is best to follow the instructions. After doing 12 of these, I find that one deviation from the instructions is helpful: start with the back on the floor and attach the seat with the single bolt in the middle first. Hand tighten but not so snug that the you cannot move the seat. The 4 angled bolts can be VERY difficult. they require just the right angle. You must try to press down on the seat and at the same time try to thread the bolts in one at a time. They will only start threading at just the right angle and should start to thread easily by hand. Do not try to force thread the bolts with the hex wrench or any power tools. The bolts are pretty strong but if you damage the threads, you are screwed. It can get really frustrating but just try to position the seat in the position it would be in if fully assembled. The cushions will try to bend the seat downward–which is why having that first center bolt will help prevent fatigue and allow easy manipulation of the position. Once threaded, use a power driver to screw in the rest. Then the legs go on with the chair upside down resting on something. Tighten while pushing the legs down into the seat. There may be some wobble but after sitting in them a while, they will be fine. Also DO NOT tighten too tightly any of the bolts.QUALITY: solid wood frame. Chair is reasonably heavy and it feels solid. Chairs in the local stores feel so much lighter and cheap. The cushioning is very good and the fabric is very plush and soft.Summary: I somehow assembled one chair no problem and then had extreme difficulty with the second one. I even called the company and said I cannot get any of the angled back screws in. After I described the problem, I convinced them the problem was the chair back nuts being at a acute angle. They are sending me another back. I feel bad because I played with it some more and used the techniques above and was able to finish the assembly. After that, chairs took anywhere from 10″ to 30″ to assemble. The ease of getting those back angled bolts threaded is just different…some chairs easy some not so easy. All 12 are fully assembled and look great. Quality is great. for the money, a great buy. In dealing with GDF, I have to commend them on their customer service! A+ in my book.

Arrived damaged but overall good chairs.Good price on a warehouse deal but one chair was damaged. One of the wooden pegs to connect seat and back was broken upon inspection. I didn’t want to deal with returning it so I just assembled it anyway. Let’s hope it stays together. Comfortable chairs and good value, all things considered.

I’m happyOnly some minor complaints on item and for the money I can not say too much bad. But my only issues are1.) When I got item, one of the chairs already has a small Orange spot on the top center that I can’t remove outta box, but returning would be too much for me so keeping anyway.and2.) I had some trouble assembling just due to bolts and washers had come outta their bag and were everywhere in the box, then some of the bolts were somehow threaded together, but I still finished with like 3 extra bolts? and the legs aren’t even despite following what the instructions said about this, and even with a better Allen rench, and lots of work, I eventually striped (with my bare hands) one of the bolts and never did get it in 100% along with another I didn’t strip but couldn’t get in all the way?However, color is life picture, almost white legs look good and the size specs seem right.Happy with purchase, would recommend.

are sturdy and very well madeI received these chairs in error and they are being returned, however I decided to write a review on them for interested buyers.These chairs are in fact gorgeous!! They look high end, are actually white/off white, are sturdy and very well made. My biggest complaint = they are not high enough in the back. They are only 37 1/5 inches high. If you are trying to have the elegant elevated look at your table these are not the chairs for you.They are basically standard height. If these were 41″ or higher, these chairs would be PERFECT!! They really are nice. Although they where ordered in error…I would have DEFINITELY kept them if the chairs backs were higher. If you don’t mind the height issue, DEFINITELY buy them, you will be pleased!! Quality and craftsmanship is superb!!Hope this review helps someone.:)

Classically Beautiful, Jewel-Toned ChairsThese chairs are gorgeous. The design is beautiful and they’re comfortable as well. I bought them as dining table end chairs and they really stand out. They are also sturdy enough to be used in the parlour when we need extra seating.Just be aware that these chairs do come unassembled. They’re well-packaged and, even though there was slight damage to the box, the chairs were in perfect condition. The hardware etc. can be found beneath the chair cushions. Assembly is not difficult.I recommend these if you are looking for a simple elegant accent.

These are high-quality low-cost beautiful chairs!I purchased a beautiful 12 foot table from RH Modern however they were not chairs to match. I spent almost a month searching furniture stores quality chairs they did not cost $500 each. After reading reviews on this chair I decided to purchase two to check quality. I was so pleased with how easy they were to put together and how wide and comfortable the seat was, as well as how sturdy and well-built the chair is. I am quite particular about nice furniture and did not want “cheap “chairs. These are very, very nice chairs and extremely good purchase for the price. I highly recommend them.

Nightmare to put together!They are nice chairs when put together but what a nightmare!! Holes don’t line up for screws, legs are different sizes in length, so after you get one together it is uneven and then you have to take apart, repackage and send back… Out of 6 chairs only 4 went together to completion. My hand hurt from the wrench included to use in assembly because every screw takes at least 200 turns to secure, and there are 9 screws. If you are handy and have the patience to assemble, and hope the chair is even when you finish then they are worth the price. If you are having a holiday or dinner party than start ordering the chairs and putting them together way in advance just in case you need to get replacements. The customer service at amazon and at the vendor was outstanding.

Beautiful! Just as pictured.The chairs are beautifully made and are comfortable. Many commented that they were difficult to assemble but we didn’t find them difficult at all. One of the six I purchased came with a slight pinhole in the fabric but the exchange was made easily and without delay.
