Cute and functional chair.We literally just got this chair about 30 minutes ago so consider this an ‘initial impression’ review.I found this chair after doing a google search for ‘charcoal armchair’. I checked multiple sites and found that Amazon had the best price so I decided to purchase it from here (without checking any reviews).It took about a week to arrive and packaging was just average. It just had some packaging material thrown over it. I didn’t have to remove tape or anything. We did not have any broken or missing parts. The front/back legs and the instructions were located inside a zippered pouch under the seat. That was packaged really well and I had to remove way too much tape. I felt like all that was a little redundant when the actual product lacked the same care. Assembly was as simple as screwing in the labeled legs and snapping the back rest into place.I bought this chair for my husband (6’3″ & 240 lbs) to use as an armchair, but also as a desk chair for the desk (he insisted) we have in our bedroom. I love him so I just find things I don’t hate to fit into the space. But, I digress.We have a charcoal colored bed so I was looking for a similar hued chair. I have included a picture of the color difference. This chair is darker than basic gray, but I wouldn’t call it dark gray. In fact, it has this sort of blue tint to it. That was surprising, but I probably would have found that out if had bothered to read a few reviews. We are not going to return it because it’s not something we cannot live with.I had my husband sit in it for a bit and he said it was comfy. I didn’t take any pictures of him in it but I noticed that the top of the backrest stopped just about the base of his neck. The arms are obviously super low and they are definitely too low for him to use, but he said it is not a problem. I’m going to order an ottoman/foot rest/stool for him so he can put his legs up and of course dress it up with a pillow and throw. I will update my pictures then.I sat in the chair for a bit and I find it to be comfortable. There is a slight curve in the back and that feels way better to me than the straight back armchair that we have in our living room. So I would say that it has great support. I put one of my 18×18 throw pillows behind me for a bit and I didn’t like that so much as it was too short for relaxation so I will definitely get a bigger pillow.I think this chair is beautiful. I don’t find it to be cheap-looking. I love material and love the fact that the bottom cushion can be removed. There is a zip on that so you can definitely remove it and wash the cover if you need to. The bottom cushion is medium firm and that’s just perfect for us. It has just the right amount of softness/bounce to it.I’m 5’7″ and 150 and it feels just perfect when I curl my legs up in it and lean over to one side so that my elbow is resting on the armrest. In fact, that is exactly what I am doing as I am typing this.I pulled it up to the desk and I must admit that it did feel a little low, but then again that’s not what it was intended for. It’s not a huge problem for me and I don’t think it will be a huge problem for my husband as he is much taller than me.My only issue with the chair is that there is a bit of [threading] on some parts. There was some material that looked like wood chips all over the chair when I first removed it from the box. I immediately zoned in on the little snag on one side and I’m annoyed by it just because I know it’s there, but it doesn’t change the function or overall aesthetic of the chair.

A compact chair with a firm cushion.We have two of these. They are for a small space and so are working fine for us. They are firm and compact. If you are looking for a super comfy or larger piece, keep on looking. The quality is as expected for the price.

Not bulky, not soft but nice as an accentI wanted a chair that wasn’t bulky for a smaller office space and it works perfect. Not soft so if you want to sit and read in a cozy chair, this isn’t it, but it works for my space.

Not comfortableI liked the color but the arm rest was lower than expected and the chair is for a slender person. The chair was not comfortable,it would work as a show chair meaning not to be used….

Nice chair for people 5ft 6 inches and underI bought this specifically for my mother who is 5 ft. 1 and it’s a good fit for her. I wouldn’t recommend it for tall people but it’s great for the little people out there. I’m average height and it feels a bit short in the arms for me but it’s still comfortable and well made. It looks very nice as well.
