Description
Add sleeping space with this pop-up trundle bed frame. The twin sized frame is crafted from metal and slides underneath a standard bed frame. The trundle frame easily rises to the height of a bed, offering an inviting place to rest. A black finish lends neutral style to any bedroom decor. Struggles to lift heavier mattressesThis is very well built. Each part was nicely finished with no burs or sharp edges. The wheels roll smoothly and straight, and the actual mechanism is easy to use. Some reviews mentioned a safety hazard when unboxing because the frame sprung open. My frame was delivered with more than adequate metal ties holding it closed and giant red labels on every surface telling me to make sure the frame was locked in place before removing the ties. You would have to be illiterate or blind to miss them.Their customer service is the best I’ve experienced in awhile. They reached out to me promptly and in several different ways (email, amazon account, and phone) to ensure I had every need met and all the assistance I could ask for.My only complaint is that the maximum weight of mattress the springs can lift is very light. There are labels saying it handle up to 35lbs. Our mattress was 30lbs and even when my partner and I lifted the entire upper frame off the ground, the mechanism wouldn’t spring open until it was completely off the ground.Opening it without a mattress was no problem and worked perfectly, but the whole point was that it would raise the mattress for us. So use it with a light mattress. I would say to keep it around 25lbs maximum.

Very, Very Difficult to OpenI had a pop up bed for over 10 years until it broke. The store where I purchased it no longer sells them so I looked on Amazon and purchased this bed since it seemed the closest to the bed I needed. When I first received this bed about a month after I purchased it, I almost sent it back immediately. I did exactly what the instructions specified and the bed would not open. It must have taken me at least 2 hours to finally get the bed open. It was locked in place even without the mattress on top after I removed the wires and it would not open. I finally got it open after shaking and fighting with the bed for at least a couple of hours. Every night it is the same thing. We have to keep on lifting the bed until it finally locks. It takes a LOT OF EFFORT to open it every night. A very aerobic experience and it should not be. In addition to that the bed fell with me on it at least a couple of times since I had it and we have only had it for a couple of months. I do not recommend this bed to anyone, unless you have a lot of patience to continue to lift it to open it for several minutes, using all your strength and lots of effort. Unfortunately I need a pop up bed since my apartment is so small. If you can purchase another bed it would be better for you. I have a comfortable mattress on the bed so it is comfortable, but it is not worth the time and effort to open it. With all the lifting we have to do to open the bed, I pray that it lasts long enough for us to get our money’s worth. I am not sure that it will.

ConvenientIt’s a little tricky to get the hang of popping up and one side pops up before the other, but that ends up helping. But it’s also tricky getting it to lock in the popped up position. It’s very easy to let down.

Exactly what I wanted.I bought this to replace a rollout trundle that was mistakenly shipped with a daybed frame. This is a different brand than the daybed I ordered, but pops up to the right height to form a king bed for guests. I have an inexpensive 8″ mattress (to fit under the daybed) on it, and it is very comfortable. It requires a little finagling to get up with the mattress on it, but it springs up very aggressively so be careful if there are hands, feet, or small animals/people underneath. It goes down without issue, but you do have to have to push the mattress down when holding the lever. The wheels roll very easily and don’t mar our wooden floors. My 250 lb husband is able to lay on it without it sagging, bending, or collapsing. It does need to be secured to the bedframe or it rolls away.

Great trundle! Raises to day bed height easilyGreat trundle, so much better than the ones that stay close to the floor, which are fine for kids, but older adults would have a hard time getting off of them. This one is GREAT! Sturdy and reliable. Just be very careful when you are raising it up, it is springy and could hit you if you hold your face too close to it! Also, be sure to use the safety pin on the side when it is at full height! An ADULT should be raising this bed up and down, NOT a child! If used properly it is GREAT!

So Disappointed1st one was delivered damaged, they replaced no charge but I had to get the old one to a UPS store for return. It’s big and bulky and didn’t fit in my sedan so had to borrow a truck.2nd one was perfect when delivered but I am so disappointed now. I have used it occasionally when I have company, maybe 6 times and now the head of the rivet or bolt at the center of the X snapped off. Poor quality hardware, it’s not like the people using it are heavy weights, all are well below the weight limit. The bed no longer stays up or down unless the safety pin is in place and it’s almost impossible to get it lined up. And now it is too late to get a refund. This is the same problem I had w the 1st delivery. It’s a shame they use crappy fasteners on an otherwise good product. So sad, I really like the convenience of the pop up trundle. Maybe I can fix it with a good old USA made bolt.

A real solution for usI liked that it came fully assembled. I did not like that there were no instructions on how to pop up the bed or to put it back down again. We figured it out, but there should have been a 1-page instruction sheet. It is sturdy, but for a couple of our friends, it could accommodate more weight.

Short!A twin-size mattress will hang over the top (about 2 inches) and the bottom (about 2 inches) of this trundle . It is also more narrow than the average twin-size mattress. It is, however sturdy and definitely usable.

Seemed Sturdy. Rivet broke in less than a week. The 3 sizes are just about an inch shorter than the original frame, but I couldn’t find anything to match the original exactly. Been using it for a few days and it seems very sturdy yet light enough to move around easily. This 2-piece rivet snapped within a weeks use. This was the pivot point on the left side of the crossing/ riser legs. The same bolt broke on the previous frame, but only after a few years of use.
