Great customer ServiceThe island came packaged well, the granite top was packaged well also but came damaged. Customer service was notified and sent out a new top quickly. I’m not happy that particle board is used. I am happy with the overall experience.Eric M.

Looks great in the kitchen, but too many nicks & scratches.Fits everything I was expecting it to. Very happy with how it looks from a distance. The wood top looks like great quality. Replacing an open island, that was not that much less in price a few years ago. Overall satisfied except for the nicks & scratches. Wish they included touch up paint.

POOR QUALITY and ALIGNMENT ISUESPoor quality are too words that would best describe this island. We purchased this item based upon the positive reviews, but were disappointed from the start. Island was packaged well and there was no damage. Our issues were with the fit, finish and function of the island. This would have been an easy assembly if the parts fit well and they aligned properly. We have purchased many Ikea-type assemble-by-buyer furniture in the past, and this was the worst we have ever seen.Fit: Product comes with 1/4″ dowels, but the dowel holes are closer to 3/8″, so the dowels have no real function other than a mild assist in aligning the parts. The worst feature were the drawers. After assembly, they would not fit into their pockets properly. They were not straight and true. Drawers slides are mounted to the inside walls via small screws that were installed at crooked angles which interfered with the slides because they were not flush. Also, the drawers slides did not have elongated holes, so there was no way to make minor adjustments to align the drawers properly. We had to drill new pilot holes and reinstall the drawer slides so the drawers would slide into the cabinet. They are still not perfect since the drawers are not square, but better than before.Function: Drawers only open about seven inches, yet the drawers are about 12 inches long. They could have made the drawers another three inches longer, since the drawers are about 3″ from the back of the cabinet when closed. Drawer slides do not function well and smoothly. Drawers can be moved side to side almost 3/4″ which makes for poor operation and fit. The doors on the sides rob you of about 1 1/2″ of space, limiting the size of objects than can fit into the space. We have attached to photos using a standard fork to illustrate.Quality: The entire unit, expect the rear panels, is made of substandard particle board and MDF. The particle board will crumble if you turn the camlocks too hard. Rear panels are made from a plastic-like material, about 3/16″ thick. Screws will split the ‘wood’ the even if there are pilot holes. Be sure to get the install of a screw correct the first time, because the second try the screw will strip and not hold securely. The holes for the knob in one door was drilled at an angle, and when we installed the door hardware, one knob was about 3/8″ higher than the other knobs. We had to elongate that hole and put a fender washer behind the door when we installed that knob so all knobs were at the same height.Finish: Cabinet has a black finish ‘paper-like’ veneer. It will scratch and damage easily. We had to touch-up several areas after our careful assembly. Some tips: If you want to buy this island, you must have plenty of patience and some experience in putting this type of furniture together. Do not make this piece your first try in putting assemble-by-buyer’ experience. You should have some carpentry and engineering skills to solve the problems that will arise. Make sure your floor is level. If it is not like our floor which is tile, you may have to shim one leg so the unit is level and square. This is not a solid piece of furniture. It will conform to the floor and if it is not level, the doors will not close properly and the granite top will not sit flat on the top.The instructions are for all types, so they do not show the granite top which is PART A. This was not clearly defined in the instructions, so we called Crosley Customer Service which was very helpful. Also, the feet are shipped separately, so you will get three packages, most likely not at the same time.Good luck!

I’m very happy with my purchase.I’m using this “island” as a bar cabinet, and did not attached the end pieces due to the tight space I needed it to fit into. I also took the liberty of buying new hardware to match kitchen cabinets since they are in close proximity.Assembly was not difficult (very similar to assembling Ikea furniture) but a little time consuming as there were A LOT of pieces. They packaged everything so well that it took me about the same amount of time to unpacked as it did for me to assembled it. They literally wrapped every single piece, which is nice since there were no damages (just took forever to unpackage). The instructions do not call for wood glue but I highly recommend it for the wood dials as they do not fit as tight as they should. My only complaint is the strong smell of the paint/finish. After a week, the scent is much lighter, but I can still smell it.

Looks like photo; “time” to put togetherI put two together to act as a larger island in the kitchen, after I took down the half wall. It looks nice. But, if I had known how it was made, I would not have ordered it. Very little solid wood, mostly compressed wood, and the drawer bottoms are just like cardboard. I had someone put it together for me; it took him three hours for the first one, but half that time for the second one.

Absolutely LOVE it!I researched the Internet extensively for a couple of months looking for the perfect kitchen island. I visited every store that I even suspected might carry them in hopes of finding one locally. In the end, this island appeared to be the best solution. I found it to be AMAZING! I’ve assembled my share of furniture and found the instructions for this piece the best I’ve ever seen – very detailed and easy to follow. I actually ENJOYED the assembly process and wouldn’t even let my husband help! The island is very high quality and beautiful. I have received compliments from everyone who has seen it. Provides a nice amount of storage, and thanks to critiques by some reviewers, I looked for and easily found silverware storage containers at Walmart that fit the drawers. The one possible “negative” turned into a positive! The granite countertop had a noticeable flaw and I really was not looking forward to trying to rectify the situation. The company made it incredibly easy! I provided a photo, they agreed to replace the top, and did so in a very reasonable time. Until then, I did use the flawed one, so no use time was lost. Additionally, they did not require me to repackage and return – a real plus as it is large and REALLY HEAVY – which is a good thing as long as you don’t have to return it! My experience with the product and the company will keep me coming back and recommending it to others.

Perfect!Assembly: Select a relaxing day. Take your time. Separate all parts for easy grab once you get started. Breathe… takes a few hours. What a great feeling when it is done. It is perfect. Happy purchase. Looks amazing!

Uncomplicated instructions, lovely final product.First thing to note is that this is not some lightweight cheap product, it has some real weight to it, I think the unit weighs in at around 45lbs and the top about 40lbs.Put this together with my Dad, we did have a couple of mis steps, mainly choosing the wrong screws in the first step.Construction took around 4 hours including having to dismantle a large part to recover the screws we needed elsewhere! All wooden parts are labeled, however so that is a huge aid, no need to guess.Once constructed do NOT try to move it by the granite top, the connection will keep it on the unit fine but as I mentioned, the unit itself is also heavy so I ended up ripping the top right off.We were able to reseat it just fine and it looks great now.No regrets, lovely piece to have in the kitchen, we were in severe lack of work surface. Not sure how easy it would be to move it to a new house though.

Not 100% but it works for me…..All in all, a good product. The granite top had some blotches in it and a small nick where the sealant was missing but not worth the hassle of having a new one sent and reinstalling it. One leg had a depression and crack in the white paint but again, once installed at floor level, it cannot be seen while standing up. It went together without any issues and everything lined up fine. As other have stated, the drawers are not even from side to side when installed but nothing I can’t live with. I did call customer service for the leg and top and they called back the next day telling me that they would rectify the problems but I decided I could live with the imperfections. The unit has plenty of storage underneath and the 40+” top gives you plenty of work space.
