KNOCK THOSE STUPID HASPS OFF AND SAVE YOUR LEGS!In Oklahoma, we call this a horse watering trough. I loved its faux rusted appearance and its larger storage capacity. I ordered it–and waited. NOW IT GETS INTERESTING! The thing is poorly made in China, where they must water their horses some other way. The cushion seat is very comfortable. The handles on each end are functional ONLY IF YOU INTEND STORING FOAM BATS! The walls are SO THIN they had to put in cross supports–meaning YOU HAVE A HARD TIME PUTTING THINGS IN or TAKING THINGS OUT! The floor, the same, thin metal, WELL, let’s just say you need to put it where you want it, put things in it, and never use the handles to move it unless you empty it first. Really! It is so cheaply made! WARNING! WHO ON EARTH WANTS TO SIT ON A BENCH WHERE YOUR LEGS ARE CUT TO RIBBONS ON THE SHARP EDGES OF TWO HASP LOCKS? So, Why 4 stars? Because I put it where I wanted it, stored all I wanted to store in it, and I pulled the hasp rings off and sanded it smooth. It looks great, stores a lot of my stuff-handily, and has become a favorite seat in the room.

Just the right size and look!I was so worried about receiving a dented bench, but took the risk. It arrived in great condition. Make sure you measure. It is a little small to be a bench used on a regular basis for seating, such as a dining room bench at a table, but perfect for what I needed. From a distance (maybe 5 feet away or more) it looks fantastic and high end. As you get closer, you can tell the rust is manufactured and not necessarily authentic. But only to someone really looking. Love it!

Nice storage solutionWe don’t have any closets or cabinets in our tiny home and seating in the living room is limited so this killed 2 birds with one stone for us. We now have a proper place to store our shoes and provides comfortable seating for when we have extra company. I’ve had so many compliments on it!We do have pets who enjoy sitting on it to see out the window, but unfortunately their claws have snagged the clear plastic protection layer over the seat. For the price I wish it we’re a little bit more durable but still very pleased.

Strangely cool!I needed something in the entryway to sit on so I ordered this bench. When it came it was dented just like several other reviewers said. It was easily popped out with the flat of my hand. It has a plastic covering over the cushion. I don’t know if it was just for shipping or it was to be left on. I removed it and sprayed fabric guard on it. Kind of made me think of those plastic seat covers Grandma had. Much nicer look without it. This is an understated looking thing in the room. People are here for a bit before they notice. Then they comment on it. So far all have loved it. It stores a lot of stuff too. Bonus!

Handle broke off while unwrappingI really love this piece. I bought it for my bedroom to store my pillows in when they’re not on my bed, so the fact that the lid stays open on it’s own is perfect since I have a few European pillows, I’m only giving it a 3 because as I was taking the plastic off one of the handles broke off. I’m not even sure how it was connected because there are no screws or holes, and there doesn’t appear to be any broken welding marks. The metal piece is bent up like it was never properly secured.

It’s the rustic piece I was looking forNot giving this a full 5 stars because it did have dents, but I’m not sending it back because it’s part of the rustic & it’s not really obvious. The latches don’t ease the access to the storage area. I’m going to most likely end up removing them.

Love it, but……..I read the reviews before I purchased this storage bench. I was aware that some said it came dented or broken. I ordered it anyway because I liked it so much. Mine did not come dented, BUT one latch was completely broken. I just decided to take it off instead of sending it back. I think it is much sturdier than what other reviewers said. In fact, my husband is able to sit on it comfortably to put his socks on. I was able to pack quite a few blankets and extra things inside.
