Nice chair for the money but a complex storyI purchased this chair with a $100 discount coupon after looking at prices and features of other chairs. The chair is actually 4 stars but the extra added star is for the customer service I received. I was not disappointed with the overall construction. The lumbar support was quite easy to adjust by simply lifting the the back of the chair through three detente positions. This can be done easily while sitting in the chair. The downside to this is that when standing up it is easy to unintentionally move the adjustment higher. When the support is moved to the top position it will automatically drop down to the lowest position. A simple lock mechanism would be nice. The wheels are a minimum design like many lower price chairs and I wound up spending $25 for polyurethane replacements but that is my preference. The mesh seems sturdy and comfortable. The overall construction and quality of materials seem good as well. Now for the real issue I had with the chair. After about a month the chair would drop to the bottom of the cylinder travel after getting up and sitting down again. Once back in the chair with the height adjusted it would stay at the desired height until I stood up and sat down again and then it would drop to the bottom. I had one day left to return it but Amazon extended the return window by 30 days so I could work with the vendor because I liked the chair. After contacting the vendor we determined the hydraulic cylinder was at fault. The vendor offered to issue me a credit of $40 to purchase a replacement cylinder from Amazon which I did. He said the cylinders were just about all the same. When I went to install the new cylinder I discovered it did not fit properly in the base. It seems the original one has a 90mm high narrow shaft before the fitted taper contacts the base which raised the chair by several inches and made it unstable.I contacted the vendor again and he offered to order an original replacement cylinder. A week went by and when I contacted the vendor again he apologized and once again offered to refund an additional $50. I explained that the particular cylinder that was on the chair was almost impossible to find and that they had already credited me $40. He assured me that a replacement cylinder would be shipped to me and a day later sent me the tracking number for the new cylinder.I have replaced cylinders before and they usually come out of the lift mechanism without too much trouble. Not this one. After struggling for more than an hour I notified the vendor that the cylinder would not separate from the lift mechanism even with heat from a torch applied. At this point the vendor, without hesitation, apologized once again for my trouble and offered a full refund. So the extra star is for a vendor that responds in a timely manner to problems with their product, accepts responsibility, and fully addresses the issue. It has been a long time since I have worked with any company that works this hard to resolve an issue and satisfy a customer. I would buy from them again in a heartbeat.

After Several Chairs, This One WorkedI spend a great deal of my day standing on concrete or sitting at my desk creating student assignments/grading/doing teacher things. After a three day marathon of 8-hour virtual trainings I knew I needed a better chair than public education was going to provide. I purchased a few chairs during the Amazon Prime event and just was not happy with the fit and feel of any of them. This chair was my last shot at finding something and it fit the bill. The adjustability fits me well (I am 6′, 210 pounds) and the chair has been supportive for hours on end without fatigue. I changed out the stock wheels for roller blade style wheels and it makes the chair optimal for my environment. The only potential complaint that I have is that in the thigh area of the chair on the leading edge of the seat, there is a bit of a pressure point contact that causes a little discomfort after periods of use. It’s just a reason to stand up and move around as I should anyway. The reason for four stars instead of five…I had a problem with the first chair. The back section of the chair was damaged out of the box and when contacting the seller/manufacturer they were unable to provide replacement or parts to repair. Instead, they advised me to return it to Amazon and buy another chair. I did this but it was inconvenient and caused me to be concerned for other needs down the road.

Chair has solved my lower back problemsI am writing this review after ~2 months of use. My previous chair did not have lower back support and sunk in so I was bending forward a lot in my chair. This caused lower back problems, as I have an office job sitting 6-8 hours per day. Finally it got so back I researched many chairs with adjustable lumbar support. I also wanted a mesh chair as I would get hot.I am pleased to say this chair has the lumbar support and forces me to sit in the correct posture. The mesh bottom isn’t for everyone, but I enjoy it.Some helpful notes to look out for: 1. I am 6 foot tall and the chair is as high as possible and I have a perfect 90 degree bend in my knee. So I can see if you are >6ft 2in, the chair may not go high enough for perfect knee bend. 2. I am 200lbs with average thighs and the chair bottom fits perfectly, so I can see if you are much larger, your thighs would rest on the plastic sides which would be uncomfortable. 3. Lastly the casters and base seem thin, but I don’t plan to roll around in this chair.

good supportI did extensive research on office chairs to find one that had adjustable armrests, lumbar support, head rest, etc. This one works well, I feel like it leans back a little bit too much but that could just be my body. The lumbar support is super annoying because it doesn’t lock in place so if you re-adjust yourself in the seat the lumbar support slips and falls down to the lowest position but I’ve learned to manage that. Headrest is great to lean back into and I like the back tilt function I use during long calls so that I can lean back and take some pressure off my my legs. I’ve had it about 6 months now and the hydraulic height is starting to get a little funny, sometimes my chair lowers without me doing anything, just sitting there. I hope this doesn’t get worse. So overall the chair isn’t perfect but it’s pretty good for the price.

Great chair for extended periods of sittingI bought this for my boyfriend as a gift. He’s had the same chair for over a decade and it was time to throw it out. He’s very picky so when I saw this chair and saw it was so customizable to your body type I knew it would work. He works from home and plays video games so he is in this chair for 10+ hours a day. He loves it. I am considering buying one for myself now because I tried it out and it makes you feel so supported. I’m 5’0 and he is 6’1 and the chair works for both of us so it really is a chair for everyone.

Just buy the chair!!!Chair was easy to assemble, took maybe half hour. So comfortable!!! I work 10 hour days from home and I needed a good chair to support me as I have lower back issues. So far it’s been a dream! The adjustable lumbar support is what really makes this chair stand out, I love that I can move it to where I need it without having pillows stuffed in behind me and fall every time I get up. Seriously so worth the money. I bought when there was a big rebate on it so for the price it has been well worth it!!!!

Three turned out to be the magic number! When my engineering husband was forced to work-from-home as the shutdown occurred, he kept telling me his new “work-station” was just fine. As the months went by his back became a real “painful” subject. Tried a different chair….added ergonomically-made-pain-relieving “things.” Then he received news the Headquarters of this international firm had decided to close all but a small part of his former team’s offices. That was it for me. I had to find him a great chair that allowed him to put in long hours and still feel fine when he took his breaks by using a vibrator that allows the body toe-to-top the same experience as walking, jogging, or even running. Without this chair he would NEVER have been able to get up without that stabbing pain. As a physician and researcher, I know only too well that sitting IS the “new smoking” . But, it’s not too late. Yes, it does come in pieces…took about 45 minutes to assemble. No matter…the people at the company will help walk you through the process. Once together he became a super happy guy again. I know, I know; there are a couple of things the maker knows should be adjusted, but my hubby has had NO problem with any part of this chair. LOVE IT!

Great productLOVE this chair. It felt like sitting on air, and my back was supported in all of the right places (I have some inflammatory/joint issues, and this chair felt great). The mesh material was breathable but strong; the headrest was absolutely perfect. Additionally, the chair looked really sharp in my office! Its sleek design gave off “cutting edge” and “cool” vibes. I found myself looking for work to do just so I could sit in my chair. Ultimately, I had to return the chair because I have a very tall desk and the chair didn’t rise quite enough for my short torso. I was very sad about my desk’s configuration (and almost considered replacing my desk) just because this chair is so awesome.

Amazing ChairI recently opened a new business that requires a significant amount of time sitting. When we first opened, I purchased chairs that initially felt comfortable when I sat in them at the store. I’ve a back fusion, knee surgeries and the list goes on. So, protecting my back and avoiding back pain is a priority. After being unable to find cushions or a remedy for poor quality chairs I originally purchased, I made the decision to purchase this chair. Should’ve done it sooner. This chair is excellent for people sitting long periods of time, provides great lower back support and was easy to assemble.I will be purchasing more of these chairs for other people in my office.

Excellent chair with a couple recommendations to make it even betterI’ve bought a lot of chairs in the past that have been disappointing. I took a risk on buying this chair online, and I’ve been very pleased! I’m 5’11” and I recommend using the second notch up for the best lumbar support, and then shove the head support down pretty low so it’s not pushing your head too far forward. I also recommend putting a car seat pad on it for extra cushioning (shown in picture; not included as part of this purchase). I also recommend buying soft elbow pads, especially if your desk/keyboard is a little on the higher side (also shown in picture; not included as part of this purchase). Overall, I’m very happy!
