Nice chair, be careful if you lock the chair at the angle other than 90 degreeThe chair can be locked at 3 different angles. The lock is not so secured, so be careful

Upgrade to my old desk chairI work from home as a freelance writer, and the old “gaming chair” I’d bought just wasn’t cutting it. Found this chair when it was on sale on Amazon, and took a chance. Glad I did. Definitely a better feel and I am much more comfortable. No, it’s not a high-end chair for two or three times the cost, but it’s been at least three times better than other chairs I’ve had in this price range over the years. Seat is thick and comfortable, good back support, adjustable arm rests (which is great for pushing the chair up under the desk further), mesh back keeps it cooler than other options, and a relatively smooth roll. It takes a little effort to assemble, but nothing that should stop most people from considering the chair.

Not Most Comfortable Chair – Seat Too Firm and ShallowI’m one who scours the reviews on products (days and hours for an good desk chair) and took a big risk (and very unlike me) to purchase a desk chair without any reviews. I’d gone crossed eyed looking at so many chairs and reading reviews that I decided that this deal of the day $50 off chair might be worth taking the risk. Packaging was well done and the box was probably the 39 pounds stated. One thing I was expecting was that the base of the chair would come assembled. I had emptied the box and was wondering that rather large piece was when I opened one of the smaller boxes and saw the pieces/parts to assemble. No big deal since I’m very adept at assembling Ikea cabinets. Took be about 35 minutes to assemble and was grateful for an assist when it came to securing the arms. The headrest is a bit of a pain having to get the allen wrench in correct position to tighten from an upside down position. This chair definitely provides great support in the lumbar/low back area and I can already tell that I am sitting up straighter. Having arms that flip up rather than move up/down was a good decision for me; the up/down arms just haven’t been low enough to slide under my desk. The seat is very firm and might be too firm but time will tell with that. As much as I hate to do it because it throws everything off, I could put a cushion on the chair.Right now the one thing holding this chair back from a 5 star rating is the seat depth. I do sit with my chair at the highest position and have used a foot rest but in my prior chair the seat was deep enough so that the edge of the seat hit closer to the back of my knees. I am about 5’4″ so if you are proportioned with even average hip to knee bones (or have extra caboose that takes up seat space), you might not like this chair. For the price I paid I’ll live with it for a while and hope I get used to it. I had been looking at chairs about $100-$150 more in price and hope I don’t regret this purchase.UPDATE – three days sitting in the chair and am constantly have to scoot back as much as I can in the seat – feels like I’m tipping forward. Will keep trying but probably be buying another chair soon.

The “lumbar support” actually starts to hurt after a couple hours. After using this chair for a couple days, I noticed I had constant backaches. I couldn’t figure it out until I realized that the hard, stiff lumbar supports were actually hard enough to cause soreness in my back. The pain came where the stiff, hard supports jutted into my back. I actually ended up putting a pillow between my back and the supports. I sit awkwardly on the chair now, but my back doesn’t hurt anymore.

Not to supportiveI only had the chair one week and when sitting on it the chair leans to the right. The chair’s seat does not appear to more than piece ofupholstered cardboard with some patting. The lumbar support is missing and inadequate. The assembly instructions is somewhat non existent as it only provides pictures. After examining the pieces for several minutes I was able to figure it out, but I sure wish it had written instructions.I am 5’8″ and the chair at it’s full height sits too low. So based on the chair leaning to one side and the seat is somewhat too small, and sits too low I am returning the chair.

So COMFY!!Wow, great chair! So comfortable on my low back – the lumbar support hits right in the small of the back and the mesh has just a bit of give so it feels really nice and springy! I really appreciate that bc my low back often has muscle fatigue, and this really hits the spot. The lumbar support and head rest is adjustable up or down too, so you can customize it to fit you perfectly. The arms also tilt back up (like an airline seat), so you can use with or without arms. Really extremely comfortable!!

Perfect for daily useThis item arrived fast, was able to be assembled by 1 person in under 30 minutes, and is very comfortable for daily use. I like the adjustable headrest and movable arm rests. I’ve been using daily for 2 months and have no issues.

Not better than my old chair, seat is too shallowUpdate: The chair looks nice in design but if you’re taller than 5’7″ have a big tush and weight over 200 lbs this is not the chair to sit comfortably! The seat is shallow and doesn’t go up to the back of the knee so the seat is not fully supporting thigh and that causes stress in your leg… Can’t cross leg as I did while sitting on my old chair! Staple is where you should go to look for a better fit chair. The instructions did not specify which kind of screw to use for the headrest but I figured it out myself. The manufacturer should readjust the size of the seat. Not recommended, waste of money!!
