Petite but really coolWish they were a bit bigger to better fit adults but these get the job done in our guest room and are more for form than function but I did want them to be usable. My 11 yr old daughter loves them and wants one for her small desk which would work great. I personally would not want these as every day chairs or even task chairs longer than 1 hr for adults. I’m 5’6” and my husband is 6’2” average weight. He would be miserable in these chairs. I’m ok, but if I even try to lean back I start to slide off the seat.My purpose was so guests can sit at the little table if they need while visiting. The room is small, so having clear chairs takes visual weight off the space. So I love them for this purpose. But I would give them 3 stars for average functionality.

It looks good in the studioI use the chair for my students who come to my studio for art lessons. It works very well for children to teens. No one has complained, but I use a cushion, students sit for an hour.Adults seem to look at the chair and refrain from sitting in it. Lol.

Beautiful but mixed feelingsI absolutely love the look of these. They don’t take up much space and look chic. I bought a used set and there was absolutely nothing wrong with them so that was a score. However acrylic chairs are so expensive considering they’re not as secure as wood or metal. I mean none of them have broke yet so as of right now I’m extremely happy with them. I just get a little nervous when I lean back without thinking. I think as long as you’re mindful about weight distribution then these work just fine and can add a beautiful look to your home. Just don’t try to lean back in them, which I don’t usually do when I am eating dinner anyways.

Arrived in Perfect ConditionFor short-term seating, the chair is surprisingly comfortable. There’s just enough flexibility in the back to give each user a greater degree of comfort; however, for day-to-day use, a cushion for the seat is highly recommended.

Great Value!I have saved up and treated myself to several “real” pieces of Kartell furniture, and I suppose you could call me a fan, addict, whatever. If I could have afford a house full, I’d do it in a heartbeat.I don’t know how to explain this, so will do the best I can. Kartell quality is so far off the charts, it’s hard to compare to anything else. It’s like the Tiffany of plastics. This is probably 75% of Kartell quality, but 75% of superlative is still really pretty darn good. The chair is comfortable, sturdy, and clear enough (nothing is going to compare to Kartell clear, but really- if you have to have it THAT optically clear, then spend the bigger bucks. This clear is perfectly acceptable).I am very happy with it. It is slightly smaller than I expected, but that’s fine, because I bought it to put under a glass desk, and it slides in very nicely. We had considered getting a set for a dining table but after receiving it, we didn’t think they’d be comfortable enough for that, and ended up getting the IKEA Tobias instead. If you are a chair squirmer or tend to rock back on to the front or back legs, you may eventually find it a problem, but, look at the type of chair it is, and know that that kind of stress would be an issue regardless of who made the chair. I had an older Tobias split in half on me one time when I unthinkingly plopped down too hard on it.For the price, this fashionable and well made chair is a perfectly acceptable substitute. In fact, the price is mind bogglingly reasonable, considering that it was free Prime shipping. And can I just say: the packing on this chair was simply fantastic. I usually cut packing boxes down to small pieces and stick them into a bag for the recycling pickup. I gave up after just cutting the flaps off of this box. You could poke some air holes and ship yourself to your next holiday in this box, if you were so inclined.

Crystal clear ghost chairUpdate:Still love the look of this chair but after an hour or more of sitting in it, even with frequent breaks, my back is killing me. I don’t have a great lower back to begin with and I know this isn’t ergonomic or anything but man, it’s rough on the back. Only docking one star off my original post since it’s not supposed to be supportive.Original post:Never thought I’d be so excited for a plastic chair! But Here I am; all excited! The back support is feels great and it’s perfect desk height. The seat itself is a little narrower than I would have expected for a chair but it’s still very comfortable. At the skinniest point it’s 12” wide. It comes with plastic sort of sticky things on the feet but I didn’t want to scratch my wood floors so I added felt to the bottom and it slides around just fine now. No scratches, dents, or fogginess in the plastic. It came very well packaged to avoid causing any damage to the piece. Great chair for the price! I love it!

Cute but don’t expect it to lastThe chair was bought for my 9 year old for her desk. I expected it to be more sturdy for the price but it’s a thin plastic that moves when you sit in it. I wouldn’t use it for an adult. I don’t believe it would hold up to anymore weight.I don’t expect it to last long at all. And would not buy again. Just beware the quality of this product isn’t a thick plastic.
