Large and SturdyThe price has flucuated wildly (by as much as $100) in the few days between my purchasing and reviewing this unit so I can’t speak to value for money without mentioning that. For what I paid, I am happy with the piece. It is not quite the color I hoped but from reading the reviews I was aware that it might be showing more turquoise than teal on my phone. It looks nice, regardless.It was packaged well and delivered nicely. The men even brought it up to my apartment. The legs were easy to put on and came with extra washers in case it was unbalanced.It is a quality piece. The cushion on the top is a little thinner than I wish it were, but I expected that, as well. I’ll probably throw a thin pillow under my legs when I use it. The storage area is huge and the hydrolics on the lid are nice and smooth.Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase, but I am glad I had a gift card to bring it within reason and I certainly wouldn’t pay the last price I saw for it, which was almost $350.

Beautiful, But Quality Control IssuesI recently found this ottoman online and it fit all my criteria for what I wanted. I loved the color, it was the perfect size, and it had lots of storage. I originally ordered this from a different retailer who had the cheapest price online. After it was delivered, I opened it and on the top was several small areas of what looked like black oil/waxy residue. It wasn’t from shipment, because these ottomans come with a white cover and there were no spots or issues with that area of the cover. It had to come from the manufacturing process or packing process at the facility. Before having to worry about shipping back such a large item, I thought I would clean it to see if it would come off. It mostly did, but then it left light wear from the scrubbing. Since we had paid around $200 for it, my husband didn’t find this acceptable and we ended up returning it. Since Amazon was cheaper by that time, I decided to order this same product through them.Once it was delivered, there were no oil spots, but I did notice one of the seams (about 2.5″ long) on the top near the edge seemed to be a tad bit more loose than the rest of the seams. I decided I would keep an eye on it, because I saw in another review where someone stated the seam on their ottoman had come undone and it was in the same area has the loose seam on the one I received. After a couple of weeks or so, I could see that the stitching had become more loose and the gap was widening.I decided this past week to go ahead and return that one, because it was inevitable that eventually the seam would come completely undone. I decided to try to order one more replacement- third time should be a charm?The replacement was delivered yesterday and I immediately inspected it. There were no oil spots and all the seams appeared to be tightly sewn together, but the fabric along the sides seem not to be pulled taut as the other ottomans were, so it doesn’t look as neat and polished.It is still a beautiful ottoman, is comfortable on our feet, and I’m very happy to have so much storage space for our board games and other items, but it has been frustrating having to receive and return such a large item repeatedly. I’ve been disappointed due to the first two ottomans having defects and the one I have now not seeming to be as well made on the sides as the first two. I still do love the way it looks in my living room though (the dark teal color is beautiful and the extra storage is awesome) and if the company would take better care to prevent minor issues then this would be a beautiful, quality product.(Side note: the photos in my review are from the second ottoman I received, not the one I currently have, so the sides one the one in the photos is nicely constructed.)

Sturdy and lots of roomI had a hard time finding one large enough to hold my leg compressor. This is a pretty piece and can be used for sitting as well.

Love it . . . but the smell.I love everything about the look and functionality of this ottoman. It’s a great statement piece and holds my oversized couch pillows and a few other things well.But! We bought this ottoman over a year ago, and it still smells. It reminds me of wood shavings or some other dried plant material, and not in a good way. Honestly, it smells like my chicken coop after a cleaning. I had hoped the smell would fade, but no. If I’m not messing with it, you can’t smell it unless your face is inches from it, but all of the things I stored inside reek of it and every time the lid gets opened, it bathes my livingroom in the smell.Otherwise, a pretty ottoman.

Sturdy easy open and close ottoman!This ottoman has tons of storage inside and has quality hinges that allow you easy access without pinched fingers. Beautiful color! I loved it, but unfortunately due to its large size it dwarfed my other furniture. I sent it back but had to give it a good review because of the quality. This would be perfect for a large recreation room or in front of larger sofas or oversized sectionals etc.

Great storage ottoman for the price!This ottoman was delivered 2 days early & matched our teal accent pillows perfectly! It was in great condition when opened, it’s a good size with plenty of storage. We have a lot of greyish tones in this room & the ottoman gives a nice pop of color like we wanted.
