Something finally comfy for my home officeEnded up buying a new versatable which was slightly taller then my old desk and my old executive chair just wasn’t tall enough to sit properly, in addition it lacked good lumbar support. After hours of browsing amazon I finally decided on this chair. I heard HON was a dependable brand and although there wasn’t as many reviews for this chair as others the reviews seemed more positive. This chair is extremely comfortable. I had spinal fusion surgery in the past so something with great lumbar support was a huge requirement. My back just seems to mold perfectly around this chair. Another plus is the seat cushion which is probably the most comfortable I have sat in a long time.Pros:-This thing goes high! I am 5.11 and at its tallest my feat can’t touch the ground-Very comfortable lumbar and seat cushion-Tension control so people with different weights can adjust pneumatic hydraulics-Easy to put together-Very well made, my guess is this thing should hold up for a long timeCons:-The arms are adjustable vertically, however there is no horizontal adjustment. Keep this in mind if you are a heavier set person. The alternative would be to just take the arms off.-The tilt feature is a little stiff, but I don’t use that anyway and may even loosen with time.Additional:-Comes packaged a little odd to say the least. When I first opened the box I honestly thought someone had already opened it jammed it back in and returned it or something. The adjustment lever was in another box with the handle ripping through and nothing was in sealed bags except for the wheels. After watching the video review here I realized that his was packaged the exact same way. I should note nothing was damaged nor would I be concerned about the way they are packing it, it was just odd to me..

Comfy & Affordable Office Chair!I LOVE how this chair was super simple to put together! It has exceeded my expectations all around! My husband brought his home chair from work and we pinpointed this one as a similar model. My intention was to find a chair that raised up enough so that I could work at a level equal to the raised level of my adjustable laptop platform on our desk. I stand a lot, but when I sit, I was finding myself hunching or reaching because my laptop was too high/low etc. this chair did the trick with its adjustable armrests! ..and my legs still fit under the desk! It has a nice supportive seat and backrest too. A+ Great price for the features.

NOISY ARM RESTS, but Solid, Breathable Desk Chair for the PriceFURTHER UPDATE: Down to 2 Stars. Although this chair is reasonably comfortable for the price, the very poorly made arm rests are just the noisiest things. They creek and groan from the cheap plastic parts rubbing against each other with ANY kind of movement. SO, if you are on a phone call you have to either not move OR take your arms off both arm rests or you will have that noise on your call. All day these things creek and groan like no other chair I’ve owned. I AM very grateful for it being as comfortable as all the other reviews state, BUT the noise of the arm rests outweighs everything.UPDATED REVIEW: Down to 3 Stars. The arm rests make a lot of noise and jostle around more than any other chair I’ve had in recent time. Still a comfortable chair to sit in, but I rest my arms a lot and I personally dislike the sound of plastic rubbing on plastic as it’s not a solid fit on either one.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Comfortable chair with not much more than a height change or a simple setting to rock or not, BUT it’s solidly built and not bad for sitting extended hours. It’s not a $3K chair that makes you want to sit, BUT for the reasonable price, it is well-built, sturdy construction, easy to assemble and a solid chair. It works well on a chair mat over low-pile shag. I do miss some of the support from more involved chairs, BUT you will not get warm or a case of (pardon the expression) butt sweat from a heavy leather chair. Having been ripped off from other chairs, I am leery, but frankly this is not made with anything fake or cheap. HON is a solid brand and stand behind what they sell. RECOMMEND the basyx by HON VL712 Mid-Back Chair.

Good chairThis is the second one of these chairs I’ve had, the first one I got from an office move that was already a few years old and worked for me for a couple more years. It’s a comfortable task chair. The arm rests on it had deteoriated a bit and a weld broke on the bottom of it. The second one seems to be about the same quality and handedly beat a ~33% more expensive chair I tried first

Comfort of the ChairSince this chair is primarily used by out daughter, the overall comfort of the chair is paramount. She had a very difficult time finding a chair that would be comfortable sitting in for the twelve plus hours she sits in it each day. She did a lot of research to determine who the best chair manufacturers are, Hon seems to be one of the front runners. So far, she is VERY pleased with the chair. All of the adjustment features suit her perfectly when trying to find a comfortable position. The quality of the chair is very good, and, so far, the comfort has been exceptional. It remains to be seen, if the long term satisfaction with the chair remains as high. Seeing the quality of the chair, and the initial comfort, I certainly expect it will.

Its ok.This chair seemed like a great deal for the price but after having it a while I am left with the feeling that you get what you pay for. It is firm and well built but it has some problems. First the good.Good: Mesh back to prevent sweating when its hot, soft cushion bottom which does a good job of muffling your farts to prevent embarrassing flatulence, adjustable arm rests, decent lumbar support, assembles easily.Bad: Arm rests are cupped so that if you lay your arms across the rests, it hurts because the rest is a hard plastic. The seat does not go down very far with the adjustment so people shorter than 5’5″ might not get their feet to touch the ground, the mesh on the seat cushion traps dirt and crumbs and its hard to get them out, and the thing that bothers me the most is that seat cushion is becoming bucket shaped and it is hard to slide my bottom against the back to keep my back supported on the support. Also, after assembly, I noticed the gap between the seat and the back support is uneven so poor design and manufacturing there. Its a good chair, just not great. If you want to save money its worth it but if you want something really good , spend more.

Great chairI love this chair. It is comfortable and supportive. I have the same one at work and bought it for home. The packaging, not so much. The first one arrived damaged. There was a hole in the box and a section of the bottom went through and got scraped up. I ordered a replacement, and the box was damaged in exactly the same way. This time the chair was not damaged.

Hon Office ChairWe needed a new office chair and I reviewed several. My husband was not home when it arrived, and I was able to assemble with no problem. The chair is very comfortable. I am 5’2″ and the seat is not too high for me (on the lowest level. I really like the adjustable arms.
