Description
Classic lines and accenting provide a timeless look to the design of the Fafard Collection. The metal daybed’s orange finish lends unique character to the design of your bedroom. The lift-up trundle provides convenient expansion of the sleep area, with its folding legs quickly engaging to bring the unit to full height while the casters allow for ease of storage.

One Person Assembly, lots of parts, but easyMy husband completely assembled this bed by himself in an hour or so. It has LOTS of parts, but relatively easy to assemble. It is very light weight compared to how much you might expect it to weigh, which actually makes it easy to move around if needed. The trundle bed rolls in and out smoothly. Despite the light weight, it seems to be sturdy and made to last. After placing the mattresses in place, I tried it out and it was comfortable. No sagging mattress or bars pressing in your back. I’m pleased with the purchase so far.

Orange DaybedOnly thing is I wish this came in a bigger choice of colors – it is a very nice bed for the money. It is a little squeaky – but other than that it’s solid.

Damaged partsI received this bed, box in great condition. The leg for the trundle was bent and unusable. There is no contact info on the instructions so I called Amazon. They weren’t able to contact them either so buyer beware. The main bed looks nice and is sturdy enough but would not order anything else from this company.

Poor construction (welding) on base legs for lower trundle bedBed looks good and the day bed is good. Problem is with the lower trundle bed, specifically if you want it to raise up and hold weight. After sitting on it, the thin metal snapped (see pictures). When you see how thin it is you can see why. Unfortunately, it was outside of return window (3 mo.) when we finally put it to use and Amazon was not helpful in finding a remedy. Going to see if I can do something with the manufacturer to see if they would honor any type of warranty. Otherwise, out of luck.

Trundle bed legs broke off completely. The bed is attractive, but was difficult to assemble, and the trundle bed legs broke off completely on one end.

Loving my new setup!💖Re: Lexicon Fafard Metal Daybed – an amazing bed choice for my apartment downtown. When my husband came to visit, he was very impressed and we slept comfortably. He might ~187# and I at around 125# and the bed(s) connected together to make a king, didn’t have any issues. It is an awesome space saver. I am all set with bedding if a friend comes to visit as I can place the trundle against the wall for them to use. I am using Zinus 8″ gel infused mattresses and everything is now perfect for me! The well-organized packaging inside a heavy 2-person lift large box was easy enough to assemble by myself in less than two hours. This is definitely one of my best investments; highly recommended, which in fact one of my good friends is getting one for their loft. I of course love the pop of color in my basement apartment so not an issue for me.

Pleasantly surprised but . . .Overall this is a nice sturdy daybed frame, both my husband and I can sleep on it when put together as a king size frame, only two things make it less than perfect, you cannot get the trundle under the bed if you have a thick mattress on it, and the nice big armrests are great for getting into the corner and reading but a little bit problematic if you are older and getting out of the bed on a “stiff” morning. But overall I would recommend.

Trundle snapped after third time putting it up.Such a bummer because we do love this bed. The middle support bar that goes between two legs snapped off one when I was setting it up. I’m not a very strong woman and had the trundle on its side to make it easy for me to straighten the legs out and it didn’t take much effort to do. Half the fun is turning it into one giant bed for my boys to have sleepovers every now and again. It will still roll in and out after taping. But if your hope is for a pop up trundle, like ours, then this might not be the bed for you. We just only purchased it this year too.

Missing critical partsLooks sturdy however when you are missing two of the support rods for the mattress you wonder if it will hold up
