Wow. What a difference.I got a new mattress several weeks ago. Though the mattress was a huge improvement, even with the softest option found the mattress to still be too firm for me.So after some careful consideration I added this soft top and just wow.Yes you do have to give 48 hours to have the topper fully expand. I found placing it upside down on a table the process to go faster.Once expanded, it was easy to put on top of the mattress and secure it with the built in elastic bands.Since installing it, I lace slept on marshmallow clouds while the mattress underneath made sure my spine stayed in alignment (side sleeper). Paired with my new cooling temperpedic pillow which provides great support for my head and neck, I was sleeping the whole night through without ever waking up with a sore shoulder or hand that has fallen asleep from a pinched nerve.Things to know about this topper for best results.1. Be patient. Some reviews say the topper never fully expanded. You really need to give the topper 49 to 72 hours to fully relax and expand from being vacuum packed.2. Make sure to pair it with a good mattress. The topper alone is designed to give you that marshmallow feel but does not give you the spinal support you need by itself. It is not a cure for a worn or cheap mattress.3. Pair it with a solid and comfortable pillow that works best for your sleep position and temperature. The head is where you generate a lot of heat and found the cooling technology most needed in the pillow. Yes I spent almost as much much money on my temperpedic cooling pillow as I did on this topper and it’s worth it!

Absolutely love it!!!After 2 weeks of sleeping on a brand new high end pillowtop mattress and waking up stiff and hurting from head to toe, I swapped it out for an older, very firm mattress that was on another bed. I decided to buy this mattress topper to add a little height, slight softness and cooling gel without hopefully having to give up the firmness of the mattress underneath which I need to sleep comfortably. I took a chance because this was a brand new item and had only 1 Vine review but after researching and comparing materials, firmness and price to other comparable toppers I decided to purchase it. It came in a medium size box which was not heavy. It was easy to unpack and unwrap. I laid it on the floor on top of the plastic it came in to expand and it was completely expanded in less than 36 hours. I did not smell any scent at all before or after unpacking and unwrapping it. It is exactly as pictured, very good quality and soft to the touch. Once on the bed the straps secured it quickly and tightly to my mattress. It added just the right amount of height to my bed. It gives a little when I sit and lay down on it without that endless sinking feeling I felt on the pillowtop. I’ve been sleeping on it for 2 nights now and it is so comfortable, I have slept through the night and woken up before my alarm both mornings. I am beyond happy I took a chance and bought this topper, I am absolutely satisfied with this purchase and highly recommend especially to people who suffer from muscle spasms, sore muscles and stiffness in your neck, back and spine.

Very comfortableSo I would have given this 5 stars across the board but just priced too high for only a 3 inch mattress. I don’t think it will last very long for everyday use but should last for occasional camping trips. I put it in my travel trailer. Travel trailer mattresses are notoriously uncomfortable. This made my mattress so nice to sleep on.

Exactly what I needed.I’ve been looking at buying another bed. My current bed is old and uncomfortable.I didn’t want to spend a huge amount of money, so started looking for alternatives.This looked like exactly what I needed, and although I did have some hassle getting the correct product delivered, I would go through the hassle again.My back pain, which has been constant and overwhelming for months? Did not “reflate” to 3-inches. 2-inches maybe?I went from a twin futon to a full futon as the bed used in my office (I sleep on this bed a lot). My old futon had a terrible hard spot midway through the length, and had two toppers (for a total of about 5 inches of topper) to make the futon sleepable. The new futon’s mattress did not have any inconsistent stability throughout, but was firm all over. I had to continue to use my two twin toppers on top (making the bed look really silly). I purchased this hoping that I would only need this one topper to make the futon sleepable. It only took the place of my other two inch topper. With a three inch memory foam cooling gel topper on top of this one, I get an awesome night’s sleep!

Smart addition to an uncomfortable BedI would suggest purchasing this topper if your bed is too uncomfortable, it really is effective
