Okay. Let me start off by saying this procuct is a great value IF youre willing to sacrifice a few hours of your day and a little sweat and frustration. Definitely helped me being openminded about the product after reading some other reviews. We purchased the Cal King size and a few modifications had to be done in order to make this a suitable frame that was sturdy enough to support us. Starting off in assembly, everything was pretty easy. The box arrived and wasn’t beat up or opened. It was taped well and items were packaged securely. Everything included besides spring washers which are only needed for headboard attachment (which we didnt need anyways). The main legs to the frame are sturdy and screwed right into the head and foot boards. The frame itself connectind with an alan wrench and was a breeze to put together. We ran into our first issue when it came time to add the support legs inside the frame. The original legs are too thin and there is only 4 legs to support a whole cal king bed. Also the legs were about an inch shorter than were needed so the bed would have sagged in the middle and probably broke had we not noticed that! We constructed our own suport legs with 2 by 4s and 3 inch screws. Also took some new measurements for how long the legs actually needed to be. We made 6 legs instead of the 4 original ones and mapped out new placement for them on the wooden beams and predrilled holes (video included of legs we made). After that hurdle was over we came to our next one. The slats were too long (width) for the bed! Thankfully we had a power saw on hand because we had to cut off about a half inch of wood off every slat to get a fit without damaging the fabric inside of the frame. Also, even with the shorter slats, the frame had to be pushed/pulled apart from the inside to help the slats slide down into their position properly. We had to predrill new holes for the screws for our modifications to secure slats to frame so we didnt crack the compressed wood of the frame. But as long as you have patience, some tools, a friend, and a measuring tape you can definitely turn this 250$ frame into a 500$ frame. Also, “offgassing” other people spoke about is not an issue for us. Smell is present but not overwhelming or strong at all.
Exceeded expectations! We’ve long desired a bed larger than Queen and had recently purchased a memory foam Cali King mattress. After deciding we would keep it we needed to get it off the floor and so the search began. Between the limited space in the bedroom, functional preferences, design preferences and price range our options were few. This frame was one of the few which checked most boxes and we are happy with the decision.Cons:Whether purchasing frame, headboard or the combo the availability and shipping dates were all over the place. Since I wasn’t willing to wait 2 months it forced me into certain options. These factors are likely in flux all the time so no stars off for that.Storage… none. There is about a 4” gap at the bottom around the bed so you won’t be sliding anything underneath and there’s no platform to lift so you can’t get under the mattress either. There were no expectations that this item would allow for any storage so no stars off for that.VERY heavy! Trying to get a cat out from underneath for a Vet appointment was not fun. (A hockey stick or broom will help though!) My cat, my problem, no stars off. :-)Pros:VERY heavy! sturdy, no squeaking. Doesn’t get pushed around if you lean or bang into it.It assembles quickly if you have a drill with a screwdriver bit and a 6” extension. Even in a tight space we had this together in about 30 minutes.Appearance and quality is high. There was one tiny thread we clipped and one dirty smudge where the carton had torn. Cleaned up easily. We got the light beige, very neutral, but we probably would’ve liked the light gray as well. That may have been the toughest decision. No more banging my head on the wall when I lean back! Still recovering from a severe concussion in 2018, now the soft/padded heard board saves me from my own stupidity.Misc:We bought the combo together as one. It’s exactly the same as buying them separately. Even the order lines indicate this after it is processed. This means you will receive extra pieces for attaching the headboard so you don’t need most of what’s in the box. If you only buy one or the other to compliment something you already own there’s a good chance the included parts will be all you need.Thank you to all the other reviewers who attached photos! They were very helpful!
Best Customer ServiceOur box arrived and we could tell it had been opened. Not sure when or where this happened but someone did take out the legs and tools to put the bed together. Could have been a big deal but I called Lucid (company) and immediately they got to work correcting the situation. To top it off, they emailed me every step of the way to make sure everything was good. Top 3, if not best, customer service I’ve had to deal with. Alsooooo, the frame is super cute. Just waiting on our bed to get here to take a picture 😁
Excellent bed!Great looking bed! A bit pricy but it’s well made and looks really good! I attached a headboard from another manufacturer so I now have a statement piece! My guest room is fab!!!
Easy to Assemble but…..If this 51 yr old with health issues can put it together by herself anyone can! UPS totally destroyed the box but luckily everything was fine. Love the color & style! I am going to copy & paste another reviewers (CON) words because they are ACCURATE!!“Cons: there’s 7 inches gap at the top (or end) of the bed where the headboard goes..the “supporters” for the planks doesn’t really reach the floor and IF.. is slippery in hardwood floor”THAT is the most annoying part of the whole set up.
DamagedIt’s a good product, but I think they sent me something that had been returned.arrived damaged
Nice look, but not sturdyI love the look. It’s simple, minimal, and exactly what I wanted! The issue is with the ability of the frame to withstand certain…pressure. The slats & supports come loose often and it causes the mattress to cave into the middle. Thankfully it can be modified to be stronger, and still works for us. I do wish it came with the pieces to make it more sturdy, though.

Beautiful Bed FrameI love my new Lucid bed frame! I had purchased a new king sized Lucid mattress in October and since my partner and I LOVE it so much we figured we might as well get a new Lucid bed frame for our new Lucid mattress. Shipping was super fast and easy. Assembly of the frame wasn’t bad and the final product looks beautiful. I wanted something that is sturdy and would last me years, but also look nice for a reasonable price. Suffice to say, this product has made my partner and I very happy so far. It has checked all of the boxes and we are confident that our frame will be in our lives years down the line. We will likely be purchasing a matching Lucid headboard in the near future since every product we have purchased from Lucid has been exactly what we wanted.

Absolutely greatThis is definitely great for price. Slats we’re a bit tight. I could have shaved down a few. But was able to get in and no need to screw them in since they are so tight. I do recommend using a board to go o too if the slats so center is sturdie. I had the one from the platform bed I threw out and fits perfect and no fear of any slats breaking now. Looks great too

Sturdy, personalizable, easyI love this frame! It is sturdy (no creaking, swaying, etc), and it was super easy to put together (I did it myself at 20 weeks pregnant with just a drill and a screwdriver). It was packaged nicely. I wrapped each edge in a different fabric to get a custom look to match an existing headboard, and it worked great. The way everything fits together means a tight, sturdy build. I’ve had it for over a month now, and it’s been great with my Tempur-Pedic mattress. There is some space between the bed and wall due to the thickness of the base so we shoved pillows there: problem solved.
