Beautiful Crib, Terrible PackagingHonestly, I fell in love with this crib when my mother persuaded me to spend $250 more than my original pick, which was a Delta crib. When this one arrived it seemed fine from the outside, but upon opening it we found the fanciest most prominent piece completely snapped in half (the back top bar that is curved). I was heartbroken, since this is a first experience for me, having my first child. I would expect better quality packaging for a rather expensive quality piece of furniture.Putting it together based off the instructions was a tad tricky for my boyfriend and I and we are fairly handy. We figured it out but it took about an hour to out together and some pieces we had to remove come to find out we pieced it together incorrectly.I skipped going through Amazon returns (I heard rumors that Amazon would just ship another entire crib most likely and I didn’t want another one for free and to put together again, just the replacement part) and went directly to the manufacturer for the replacement part and after 10 emails back and forth I hope to have the broken piece arriving soon.Overall, this crib is stunning and I would still recommend it. Hopefully Million Dollar Baby takes better precautions on wrapping such fragile pieces before placing them in the main box. And hopefully the replacement comes in one solid piece.

If a part of your crib is broken…**Update: Thanks to the comment from another customer, I was able to get the piece from Million Dollar Baby very easily. If your crib arrives with a broken piece, you should DEFINITELY go through them instead of calling Amazon. Amazon still shipped the other crib to me, and then I was not able to have it picked up, so I had to drag it myself to UPS. 90+ lbs is not something I want to be lugging around while pregnant! However, do call Amazon and they should give you a 20% discount for the damaged item if you choose to keep it.SO FRUSTRATED… I was so excited to open this item. Opened it up, unpacked it, started assembling it, and about half way through (and over an hours worth of time) I realized that the top rail had splintered and a piece broken off. I contacted Amazon right away, and was told that the entire crib has to be returned. They cannot simply replace the broken piece. I asked if I could talk to the manufacturer and the customer service agent explained to me that they would ultimately refer me back to Amazon since the order is fulfilled through them, and I would just be going through more of a hassle. So, now I have to disassemble the crib, repack and somehow fit it back into the box, and then take a day off work so it can be picked up from my house. Then, the replacement will be shipped of an entire new crib. All the labor I have already put into and will put into returning the crib is frustrating. Loosing a day of work is extremely annoying. Plus, the shipment of the new crib will take a week – whereas when I initially placed the order, it arrived in 2 days. How is that fair?! Customer service was extremely poor on this and I am now seriously considering removing my online registry from Amazon if this is how problems with orders will be solved in the future. I will post an update once the item is returned and the replacement has arrived. I am extremely disappointed with this purchase!

We love itIt took my husband just a couple of hours to assemble. We did go ahead and add a handle to the drawer at the bottom to make it easier to use and pull out. This fits perfectly in baby girl’s nursery!

Great crib with high quality materialsI love everything about this crib. It is sturdy and made from high quality materials. It is beautiful with a perfect stained wood color. It comes with detailed instructions that require minimal tools. My only complaint is the time it took to set up.

Sturdy, safe and reasonably affordable.The instructions weren’t the best for this crib, but overall it wasn’t too bad to put together. The only complaint I have, is the makers didn’t think about the need to move it, if that need ever arrived. It will be a real pain to move due to how it’s put together. Otherwise, it’s a decent looking crib and decently sturdy at a good price. I’ve had better cribs with my other kids, build sturdier, easier to put together and easier to move if needed, however they were typically 200+ dollars more. On that same note, they were also built of sturdier wood. That being said, I think this crib will serve its purpose, and be safe.

Bottom Line: You’ll LOVE the price, but you’ll just have to be okay with some flaws.I’m pretty mixed about this crib. I love the price, but I’m annoyed by how easily the soft wood scratches. It looks beautiful (but we will see how long it stays that way) and it feels sturdy enough for me to put our baby in it- so I’m satisfied but not thrilled. Just to comment on the assembly, it wasn’t too bad. Just have a second set of hands and follow the directions. Lay out the pieces beforehand, and if you’ve done some Ikea furniture before, you’ll be just fine!Pros:- The price is phenomenal! We had initially purchased a similar crib at Babies R Us, but this looks almost identical for the fraction of the price. I’m talking over $200 difference!- It’s beautiful. Hands down, it exceeded my expectations with the general over all look. Really makes the nursery/ guest room look quite classy.Cons:- I agree with several of the comments that it scratches pretty easily. My cat used it as a jungle gym a little bit when we had it in the living room for installation, but she’s declawed…. and there were still scratch marks all over it from just jumping in and out of the crib. (Again, she doesn’t have claws, just paw pads!). Also, I can easy indent the soft wood with my fingernails with some light pressure.- It came with some small damages in the wood. I’m sure I could have gotten a replacement, but it ended up being a hidden piece of wood, so I didn’t bother. Otherwise, the packaging was great.

Beautiful Looking Sturdy CribThis is a very good crib – we really love the way it looks in our room. The white is a beautiful color and the curves on the crib look so nice. The item came in a very big box – I was planning to drag it into my house but the UPS delivery man was nice enough to help me carry it into the middle of the house. I put the crib together in one afternoon and it was really not that hard. There are a few steps where it would be helpful to have a second helper, but you can do it all by yourself if there is no other option. The hardest parts are putting the flat metal mattress support in place – I found that part very difficult to do and it slightly rubbed and scratched against the bed. Overall though it is a very good product. I find the wood components very sturdy and strong – and the 4 adjustable heights should be useful in the future. I did not find that this piece scratches easily, some of the marks I made during assembly could be rubbed off with my finger or a towel.

Pretty sturdy cribSo I’ll agree with the others, this crib is difficult and annoying to assemble. My husband got it done in about 2 hours. Some of the pieces didn’t fit perfectly so we had to adjust some things but we made it work. The drawer on the bottom is pretty flimsy. We’re going to use some wood glue on it but it’s not as big and sturdy as I wished. The crib itself feels pretty sturdy once completed though.

It’s pretty but nothing specialThe wood seems very soft and easy to scratch. It’s not quite as sturdy as I was expecting for the price. It is a beautiful color and perfect for my girl’s room, but I probably would have spent less and gone with a different brand had I seen this in person.
