You’ll need extra slats or a box spring.Ok.. first, ALL the hardware and pieces are packed and zipped up in to the back of the actual headboard. The entire bed comes in one box. I can’t believe some reviewers say that all they received was the headboard and nothing else. Hello?Anyway, a million pieces. If you set everything out, even the screws by size, and can follow directions.. you got this! Helps to have help too. If you’re pretty much doing all the work yourself and your assistant is high, it will take about 2 hours. If you take anything away from this review.. DEFINITELY separate all the screws and lay everything out and have plenty of space and light!I wasn’t going to use a box spring, so I knew I’d have to buy extra slats to make sure I had full support. I bought them here on Amazon as well. Without those extra slats your mattress, unless it has a box spring, will not work. So buy more slats to give your mattress support; or use a box spring. I saw complaints in a couple reviews about how the headboard is barely visible if you use a box spring in addition to your mattress. Well guess what.. you can actually buy slim box springs. Like2”- 3” box springs.. AND you can buy them on Amazon. Anyway.. yes everything fits. The mattress fits, the wood slats fit. If yours doesn’t fit, you probably did it wrong. I used the supplied tools and then used my electric drill at the end to tighten everything up.I loooooove my bed. Love. My. Bed.Get it!!

Buy it!! You will be very pleased with the esthetics and value. The bed is amazing. I put it together by myself (a woman with no carpentry skills at all) in probably less than or right at an hour after I had pulled out all the parts and sorted them. It doesn’t have crazy issues with things not wanting to line up like some DIY furniture. It is beautiful, modern, and extremely sturdy. I will warm you of my only mistake which really was not fixable but I found a way around it. When you are putting the legs on the cross slats, make sure that you are putting the screw into the side where the hole is more depressed. Both have a little indention but one is much more so. I screwed up on one leg on one slat and by the time I realized it I had completely stripped the screw trying to tighten it and it actually even popped out the insert that was in the leg. I super glued and screwed back in the insert and then had to put all the legs on upside down. I compensated by screwing the leveler all the way out on all those legs and placing that particular slat on the part of the bed that will take the least amount of direct weight, tho even that probably wasn’t necessary as it truly fits together well. I would not hesitate to buy another one in every size for every room if I needed more beds. Another plus for me is that my tiny dog can’t get under it and hide food. The bottom of the side rail is probably only 3 inches off the ground, though since it requires both a mattress and a box spring it sits at a good height.

Beautiful Bed, Will Fit Metal Frame Inside! After a lot of research, I purchased this queen bed in sea blue. I must say that the color is beautiful! It’s a soft and very feminine teal. The fabric is very soft to the touch.I put this together alone in 2.5 hours. Much longer than the 45min claimed on the instructions but I didn’t have a partner in crime to assist. This bed had a lot of pieces and hardware and I almost freaked out! But slow and steady wins the race and I was so pleased with the results. The result isn’t finished yet but I wanted to upload a picture of my setup. As a heavier person, I won’t sleep on platform beds because they are flimsy. I bought this bed for the head, foot and sideboards. Inside the frame I have placed a zinsus metal queen frame. I scoured the reviews to see if it would fit and even asked a question… That someone responded to -wrongly. So in case anyone else was wondering… The metal frame fits perfectly! It’s essentially two beds in one but the platform bed was so economical that I didn’t feel the pain. I love the way it turned out!The metal frame, mattress, rug, wall art, and curtains were all also purchased from Amazon.

Beautiful! But you need a BoxspringSo… I didn’t have a boxspring so I followed what somebody else said here on Amazon, and got a Zinus bed frame to put inside (see the picture review where someone tried this). Sooo, yes it fits inside, but it doesn’t look good that way once you actually put your mattress on top. There’s a huge gap between the turquoist sides and the metal frame, and it looks very strange. In the end, I kept the Zinus frame and used just the headboard. Now I love it. I would say either get a boxspring to use with the bed as designed, or just use the headboard. That’s the pretty part anyway. Just my two cents! This looks absolutely gorgeous, feels soft, and looks way more expensive than it was. Many compliments! 🙂

You will need a low profile box spring or extra wood. This bed is super cute and a great deal. It was pretty easy to assemble. You don’t need power tools. You only need Allen wrenches (provided) and a Phillips head screwdriver. (Not provided)You will need more than what is provided if you don’t want your bed to sag. There are only 4 little slats of wood provided to lay the mattress across. My bed was sagging when I went to sleep on it.This problem may be remedied easily if you have a thin box spring, or you can go to Home Depot and buy more wood to add under the bed to keep it it from sagging. That’s what I did.

Looks like a $500 bed!I bought two of these on a budget and couldn’t be happier with the value! My girls, ages 4 and 1, share a room, and we needed something that looked posh but would also fit into their space. The headboards are nice and tall, so we opted for 9″ mattress and boxprings and everything fits perfectly. The velvet is the perfect turquoise to match most kid/teen decor (honestly it matches a lot of my stuff too) and it’s super soft to the touch. The color is just dark enough to cover up any dirt that could end up on them, but light enough to brighten the room. Really, if you’re on the fence, go for it. The design overall is great. The only thing that could be an issue would be putting it together. My husband and 4yr old did this together, and it took some time, but that could be due to her helping and not necessarily the bed being more complex than others.

Great headboardI ordered this headboard in June when my partner and I upgraded to a King mattress w/ box spring. This headboard was pretty easy to put together in about 30-45 mins & so far, it’s held up for the last 3 months & seems sturdy! The gray velvet is gorgeous and easy to keep clean. I wipe down a litlle dust off the top of the headboard about once a week, but it’s not like some of the metal or wood one’s I’ve had where you can see every speck – this headboard hides dust and pet hair nicely. Overall I love this headboard and I think it’s a great value for the price. I would order it again!

Exceeded ExpectationsOkay. Before & After Photos included. My delivery box was pretty much broken, I had to wait for my husband to bring it inside. I was nervous now. Everything came in the box, nothing damaged, took exactly one hour to assemble with my husband. So far So Goo! But only time will tell right?

Great bed frame and headboardGreat for my 11 year old. We got the double and it looks great. Easy to assemble (she put it together with father) and it was assembled and her beautiful bed set was on in less than 45 min. I might get one for my bed as well.

Sloppy and frustrating packaging! Fix and all stars are yours!Love love love this bed! Only downfall it how long it took to find all the screws and bolts they were all just tossed in the zipper compartment (which is a total bonus) behind the headboard. I mean they could have at least been put in a bag then tossed in with the other parts! We had to go buy a few screws and bolts because they are either still stuck in the headboard or just missing….
