Not loud, didn’t smell too bad, easy to assembleSometimes upholstery frames like this stink to high heavens, but the one I got only had a faint smell to it. I let it sit out in the living room for a couple days since my mattress had to air up anyway and it was fine. Make sure to air out the slats too.Does not creak or make loud noise when you lay on it, so celibacy not required for this frame.The instructions were pretty good and things were easy to figure out. I would allocate a couple hours to putting it together though. Comes with two Allen keys and both sides are identical, so two people could knock this out extremely fastPay attention to where holes are facing in the diagram.Does not use Velcro for the slats but they are spaced for you. Putting the slats into the holders can get tiny wood splinters on the floor though so maybe do that step outside and carry them in, or do it on hardwood floor for easy cleaningYou get some extra screws in case you strip them, if you are prone to that.Bought this on a Amazon sale and I would say it was a good purchase, I’d get this one again if I needed another one

Beware of your mattress height! 10 inch didn’t fit1. Super easy to assemble. Parts come zipped up into the headboard so it is fairly easy to unpack.2. The slats are individual and snap in. This I’d a much better system than the olden days of slats strapped together. This means it will be easier to replace any slats if they break and it was a lot easier to carry them.3. The one complaint I have is that there was no information about the mattress height that would fit. And the headboard is NOT adjustable. Some of the reviewers said a 10 inch mattress would fit – so I bought a 10 inch mattress. It doesn’t fit under the headboard. So now I have an inch or two of my mattress that is unsupported at the foot of my bed. Not the end of the world but very irritating. Luckily my comforter covers it so it isn’t obvious.

Beautiful colorI love the color. It is exactly as shown. The bed is light weight but the metal frame seems sturdy. The cover has zippers to remove the cover and components are shipped inside the headboard. When you open the box, you might think only the headboad was shipped but unzip and components are inside the headboard. I ordered this bed because it would be delivered quickly and it was delivered by early AM. I was so excited to get it assembled since I have family coming in for a while but I can’t start assembly because the headboard feet are missing. I will update this post once I hear back from manufacturers customer service and post pictures for assembly and assembled.

Interesting assembly. See notes below & check the height of your mattress!!I’ve bought a few head boards / frames that ship this same way. The assembly is relatively straight forward, but it tells you not to tighten bolts til the end. 4 of the bolts that go into the headboard are hidden behind the frame at the end, so I had to disassemble the frame to tighten those, but i had already installed the wood slating. I then snapped two of the plastic pieces the wood slating goes into when I was trying to retighten the headboard bolts. Luckily they gave 2 extras plastic wood slating insert pieces.On other frames similar to this, they use a Velcro system for the wood slating. That is a much better system than individual pieces of wood that snap into plastic holding pieces.The vertical space between the frame and the headboard wasn’t tall enough for my mattress, so now the mattress sticks out and doesn’t fit fully on the bed. They give dimensions for it, but I didn’t think to check that dimension (was only worried about length and width, not height). I was able to squish the top of my mattress down and slide it back into the space. Not ideal, but it worked.The color is definitely a lot lighter than anticipated as well. Thought it would be closer to a darker navy blue. Wait to purchase throw pillows and comforters until you see it in person!

Love it,but???Frame went together quick and easy. Frame is very sturdy and looks great. One really weird thing is the headboard itself has a really strange smell when the weather is humid, if we turn the AC on, it takes the humidity out of the air and the smell disappears????

No fuss, easy to assembleParts are all stored in the headboard upon opening the package so there is the slightest extra cushion upon opening the box (clever). It is hollow and is fabric glued onto the square headboard frame.Good quality- they give extra screws and the L wrench and everything was simple to install. Make sure to install the screws loosely until all parts are together then tighten them, or else the screw holes may not align. The wood was also easy to slide into place and the bed doesn’t wobble or squeak with an 8 inch memory foam mattress. Note the frame is light – I did put felt pads on the bottom so it slides easily, beware if you do the same. The middle part clicked down into place upon laying on my mattress for the first time. Headboard does wobble if I try to shake it but became better after tightening the inside screws (might have missed it the first time, not sure if i missed another).Tldr solid bedframe, looks like the photos, light and easy to assemble. Headboard does wobble when I shook it intentionally but may be expected since it’s light.

Seems sturdy, easy assembly, bad smellEverything came packaged well and all the parts were there. The bed feels good on the frame but there is a bad smell coming from the headboard, one can describe it as fishy and stale. Not sure how to get rid of it as it doesn’t seem we can detache it to wash. Maybe I’ll have to sprinkle baking soda? Anyone know?

A Great Surprise – Don’t Hesitate!I bought this bed on a hope and a prayer because there were no reviews. Just got finished putting it together, so thought I’d write one for folks who may be hesitant.The bed came in one box that was damaged, but thankfully things were packed well enough inside that the bed itself was fine. The hardware comes in a small box and the other pieces are inside the headboard, accessed by a zipper. The parts were clearly marked with letters that correspond to steps in the directions.As for the directions, follow the one about not tightening things too much. If you do you’ll have trouble lining up the holes and getting screws in, but if you leave them loose everything will match up perfectly. Once I got done with a section that didn’t connect to others I tightened the screws. Also pay close attention to the side rails and where the holes are in the pictures. It could be easy to install one of them upside down if you’re not paying attention. I was a little shocked putting the slats on in the final step – everything lined up perfectly. Thought for sure I’d have to adjust some things, but thankfully I was wrong.The bed looks exactly like the pictures and feels very sturdy. It doesn’t make any noise when sitting on it and was easy to move a couple feet after assembly (without the mattress). From unboxing to finished assembly it took me about an hour and a half to do it by myself. It would probably go much faster with two people, but it’s totally doable by yourself.Very pleased with this purchase!
