The Office Star Deluxe Wood Bankers Desk Chair arrives in perfect form to provide you with a time-less style with modern day functionalities. Outfitted with a pressurized seat height adjustment and locking tilt control with customizable tension, this chair is a fully revamped version of the Banker Chair of the 19th century.

Adjustable
Modern day adjustable features on a classic chair. To raise the seat, remove your weight from the chair, then pull up on the pneumatic control handle. To lower the seat, stay seated and pull up on the handle until you’re at the preferred height. This chair can be adjusted from 17.5 to 22.5 inches high
In addition to raising and lowering the height of the seat, the handle also controls the tilt of the chair–pull the handle out to rock back and forth or push it in to not rock at all. A tilt-tension knob underneath the chair seat makes it easier or harder to rock back in your chair, depending on which way you turn the knob.
360-Degree Swivel & Nylon Casters
With a durable metal base ensconced with gorgeous finish and vinyl padded seat, this chair is designed and constructed to withstand the test of time.

Great chairOnly problem is blem with assembly was the casters. I was able to put it together without assistance except for one caster. Ended up asking my brother in law, and even he had a struggle with it. Other than that one issue, I absolutely love this chair. It’s heavy, it’s sturdy and it’s absolutely gorgeous.

Arm cracked upon opening the boxI found right arm cracked and left arm half fitted. I contacted the manufacturer by phone. They requested an email with proof of purchase, wich I have sent them requesting replacement parts. I have not yet heard back from them.

The chair won’t stay up!I really like this chair very much. It reminds me of the vintage oak chair I had when I was a kid studying at my desk at home in my room/desk. Nice and solid, easy to put together and arrived well packed and fast delivery.But. While assembling the chair, the plastic end to the rod, (used to pull to raise and lower the piston for the chair) Losing the plastic end did not interfere with raising and lowering the chair.If the piston had continued to work, I would have rated this chair 5 Stars, easily.I purchased this chair in March of 2021. I am out of the country from end of April to the middle of October. Mid November of 2021 the chair began to slowly go down about once a day. By this date (12/2021) the chair won’t stay up for more than 15 min now. It needs a new Hydraulic piston. Wonder where I can get that.

These are good chairs, but there a few problems to overcome during assemblyWe ordered 4 chairs for our casual dining table and are generally pleased with them.During the assembly of one chair, we discovered that the pre-drilled holes for the right armrest to be attached below the seat of that one chair were not properly aligned and we had to temporarily attche it to the chair with only one of the supplied screws. This can be easily repaired by drilling another pilot hole and inserting an inset washer to attach the other screw.Another chair’s seat pad upholstery wasn’t cut or attached properly and we will repairing that problem ourselves, too.Better inspection at the manufactuer would likely have detected the above issues.Also, it would’ve been helpful to have known in the product description that a small rubber mallet would be needed for easier installation of the castors.

Great retro chair.My office has a lot of antiques and I wanted something to fit in. This is a wonderful looking chair and comfortable. Even my wife (who hates the decor), likes it. It went together easily (except for the casters but they included a block to assist). I am very happy with this chair!

I love it!this was easy to assemble. there were a couple of flaws in the wood but was able tocorrect it with a furniture marker. I did not have the same issues as others with broken or cracked wood. i have a smaller desk is in my dinning room/kitchen area that needed something that looked more like a piece of furniture than office equipment. This is perfect. Looks antique-ish and really finished the look so my area doesn’t look sloppy. although i gave it 5 stars for comfort, i may update this… i do not work from home until tomorrow! we’ll see how 8 hours of sitting in it works out but sitting it in briefly over the weekend it was very comfortable! the price is reasonable… i had seen “real” antique bankers chairs go for $2000-$4000 on line. less than $200 fits my budget and looks great!!!***update***8 hours of comfort!!! Love it!!!
