The dorm-room ready Flip Flop collection saves time and money. These folding bookcases unfold into place right out of the box and assemble in less than 5 minutes. This 67″ High Bookcase is constructed of a solid hardwood frame and is finished in a classic Medium Oak hand-rubbed veneer. Its 6 fixed shelves flip down from storage position and rest securely in place on shelf supports. A top shelf attaches securely without the use of tools and assembly is finished! Perfect for the home and office alike, this bookcase looks great in living rooms, next to desks or as media storage and folds up for easy transportation and storage when not in use.

Easy Unfold & and Use! Looks GreatWas not expecting this “Unfold and use, no tools necessary” to be very sturdy, especially since it is lightweight. But it looks nicer than I expected, is sturdier than I expected and was the perfect size for a small space in our dining room. Shelves are holding our cookbooks (some very heavy) and we have pictures and knick-knacks on the top surface . Very happy with this purchase!

Perfect size.I really needed a bookcase for a small space and this worked perfectly. The best part? No assembly needed. I just opened the shelves, inserted the top shelf without any problem and, it holds my books and a few small statues with room to spare. My one issue is the packaging. The white styrofoam was all over the place and it took forever to clean it up.

Better Than ExpectedWhat a good find! It came fully assembled , and that was enough to persuade me to order it. To see how lovely it is was such a nice surprise. I am fussy about my bookcases, and the dark wood of this one looks as nice as the others I have. It has a nice, natural wood gleam to it and some style as well. It’s not just a utilitarian piece. It is true that the top shelf does not allow for most books to stand up, but I prefer to intersperse standing books with a few display items and an occasional stack to keep bookcases from looking too massive and heavy anyway. It’s a great addition to my home.

Easy to AssembleI ordered this bookcase a year ago and just got around to unpacking it the other night. It was well packaged and had no marks even though the box has been punctured in two places during transit. The assembly was a breeze even though the instructions were different than how you actually set it up. For instance it had a list of hardware … which included eight pegs that were to be inserted in the bookcase to align and hold the lid in place. Well, there were no pegs included. Mine were already installed as part of the bookcase. That being said it was very easy to set up … took all of one minute once you had it out of the box. The wood has a nice smooth finish. More importantly, it holds more than I thought it would. I cannot comment on how it will hold up, since it has only been in use a couple of days. However, I’m confident enough that it will hold up since I’m back to purchase another one. I’m placing them side-by-side behind a sofa.Note re: cost: I purchased mine on 30 July 2018 for $129.99. It is now $142.42. I do think it is a bit pricey, but I don’t have much experience lately with knowing how much something like this should cost. Quite honestly, the ease of putting it together and getting it in place so quickly makes the price worth it to me. Especially now, since my life is full of stress … and the fact that I’m got getting any younger. So I appreciate the ease of setup. However, I will definitely come back to update my review if I have any problems what-so-ever! Right now … I’m happy with my purchase.I notice they carry a tall bookcase that appears to be at least twice the height of the one I purchased. My impression of this bookcase is that I would be leery about getting the tall bookcase … if you are planning on loading it down. Paper books on the upper shelves would be okay, or to put a potted plant or two, etc. However, I always purchase hard back books and would not consider putting many of them on the upper shelves. With any tall bookcase it is a good idea to secure it to the wall. As our grandmother’s would say … “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!”

Good Quality, Nicely MadeI’ve had a spectacular set of wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling bookcases in my home library for many years, was seriously running out of shelf space, didn’t want to give away any more books than I already had, and so I considered getting a supplemental set of bookcases. I also have a kitchen/breakfast area that includes a counter with a long extension, presumably meant to accommodate several people seated in front of it on stools or tall chairs. My husband and I never found a use for this feature. Actually, it was only a hazard since I would occasionally forget that part of the countertop was over my head when picking something up off the floor, or whatever, and crack the back of my skull when standing up. Now, to the point, the space below the approximately 100-inch long countertop extension nearly perfectly accommodates three of the the 34-inch high, 30-inch long Regency folding bookcases. I put one at each end and the third in the middle, so there are four and seven-eighths inches between cases. (They can also be put right up against each other and look right.) The top of each bookcase protrudes less than two inches beyond the bottom of the countertop, and there’s only a 3/4″ gap between them. I chose the medium oak color because it beautifully matches my Merillat cabinets and hardwood floors. The slats on the back and sides of the cases are obviously structural supports, but the back slats also keep books from being pushed back too far, and the side slats eliminate the need for bookends. All in all, I’m very pleased with this purchase. The visual effect is one that might suggest that these bookcases were part of the home’s original construction, AND……I needn’t be concerned about hitting the back of my head on the countertop extension ever again! As for the strength and durability of these items, only time will tell.

Top Cannot Be Attached With Supplied PartsThis is a very nicely finished and sturdy small bookcase. However, the metal pieces that are supposed to be used to attach the top to the rest of the bookcase are too short for the cams to engage with them. Despite this, I am pleased overall with the bookcase, because if I did want to fold it up for storage or to move, being able to just lift the top off is actually an asset and it stays firmly in place when being used despite the poor attachment design.
