The transitional Greg bookcase, crafted of elm with a medium oak finish, speaks a classic, country language. With its wood-framed glass sliding doors, books or decorative accessories will stay dust free-yet easily accessible. Minor assembly required.

Better than expectedI had seen this online at various retailers. Found it in the French Grey color I wanted on Amazon for $75 less than the cheapest price online elsewhere. I was terrified as the shipping box was beaten to a pulp but it was packed securely inside. Glass unbroken and only a few places where the paint looks rubbed off on edges. It was put together, solo, by my handyman in 45 minutes. It’s good quality and sturdy given that I paid $301. The only complaint I have is that the handyman said the quality of the “sliders” on the doors was poor. They slide ok. It’s not perfectly squared up in front. There is a slight gap between a sliding door and the side it closes to, at the bottom. Also there was one slider door screw missing. Thankfully the handyman found an alternative screw that worked in his kit.Like I said, it’s a good cabinet for my needs and the price. I kind of like “used looking” things, so the rubbed off paint works for me. I will display some vintage pottery in the cabinet.

Risky buying furniture on line.We jumped in as the other reviews make these ‘elm’ cabinets sound like a smart buy.We think so. If you have priced furniture lately, and studied quality, you’ll know for the

Nice piece of furniture, but not-so-good assembly directionsI’ve had this piece about two weeks, and so far, so good. My only complaint … the assembly directions are very minimal. If you buy this, DO NOT PUT THE TOP ON until you’ve put the shelves in place. Once you assemble the basic frame of the unit (bottom, top, and sides) it’s impossible to get the shelves in (they don’t tell you this in the directions). The only other comment I have … I wish the design included some little slots on the side of each of the doors to make it easier to open them.

LovelyI was not sure what to expect with this piece, but I was not disappointed. It came with all the pieces and took about 30 mins to assemble. Sturdy wood and glass doors are nice and slide easy.It had a few nicks in the wood that I used a wood marker to cover, and no one was the wiser. Overall, very pleased with this bookcase.I would recommend for sure.

Grand looking cabinet!Purchased for our study. I was not happy that the shelves did not hold larger books binding facing out but they really are beautifully styled. They are made of hard wood and definitely remind me of 20’s style cabinets. No damage, husband claims they went together easily and they add such a nice touch to the room. Definitely look quality!

delivered ahead of time with minor defectA corner of the base board is cracked open slightly, and I enforced it with a corner brace. Overall it’s a nice looking bookcase.

Size perfection! The dimensions were accurate and the sliding doors were perfect for the space. The shelves were a bit narrower than anticipated, just right for books. Compliments my decor. 🙂

Love the bookcase, but the assembly was problematicI think that it had been sold before and returned. There were small scratches on the wood that were not from shipping. Then after we put it together (and that was not easy), we found that the pre-drilled holes for the shelves did not line up. We had to drill our own. It is very pretty and I like it, but if I had bought it locally, I would have returned it for a replacement.

Easy to put together and good quality!Didn’t take me long to get it set up and have my stuff in it shortly after.
