Great ValueQuality hardware, excellent instructions. Read carefully, then read it again before starting each step. After you complete a step, look it over once again to make sure you didn’t misunderstand something before moving on. Don’t tighten anything until you have everything oriented correctly. Don’t overtighten anything! Screws are fairly easy to strip out in chipboard. Snug is all you need anyhow. Don’t use a power screwdriver, too easy to over torque the screws. All in all, everything fit together very well. Slots in some of the components allow you to align edges, drawer fronts, slides, trim pieces, etc. Take your time, keep everything square.

Really nice when made but drawers don’t slide well.Once I put it together – and it took 2 people and several hours – it looks really nice. However, I have issues with all three drawers. The small top and second drawer overlap each other, which makes me have to lift up on the top drawer so I can pull it open. The very bottom drawer is incredibly hard to pull out, even after using WD40 on it.

Very well madeVery well made desk. Heavy and looks great. Only complaint I have is that the keyboard pull out drawer gets stuck and you have to maneuver the drawer just right to get it to pull out all the way. Same for the second drawer. It kind of grinds against the drawer above it. But overall it’s a beautiful desk and is very sturdy.

Great desk – the TRUE and the FALSE of reading the reviewsOK here is the true and false. It is very sturdy – TRUE. it weighs over 140 pounds and is very solid. It comes in a lot of pieces and takes a while to assemble – TRUE. It took me about 5 hours over two days. The 21 step assembly is easy to follow and just read it carefully and you’ll be fine. The holes don’t line-up and you have to drill some yourself – FALSE. I got my drill ready and never used it. All pre-drilled holes lined up with the parts in every case. The parts are not all labelled – TRUE. However, be aware that the parts that are labelled have two different ways of labelling – some have white stickers and some are labelled on the unfinished edges so make sure you check the piece carefully and all the major pieces are in fact labelled. Some of the smaller pieces are indeed unlabeled but the diagrams make identification pretty easy. It is solid wood – FALSE. Most people think of “solid wood” as true finished wood, and this unit is primarily a very heavy wood composite with laminates – very heavy and not particle board. Be aware the top is laminated and not what most would consider “solid wood”. The drawers are real wood. There are pieces missing – TRUE (one fastener), but in my case at least it was only a screw for the drawer-handle (there are 5 handles). Since you install these last, it can be frustrating, and only one was missing. Lucky that I had one in my garage. All-in-all I definitely would buy this thing again. it came out beautiful. All drawers line up perfect, and the dark cherry is classic.

Very heavy and a bit tedious to assemble, but worth the (overpriced) money.I purchased this desk earlier this month. The UPS delivery man had to help me haul it into my kitchen because it is very heavy. It took me quite a while to put it together but once I got it together it looks very nice. It was missing one decorative part for the front of the desk. The long rectangular cardboard piece that covers the left side as you’re sitting in the desk facing out. I would say that this desk is a bit overpriced but really looks nice and it’s pretty sturdy.

Beautiful desk — excellent qualityPurchased for a home office. No issues with delivery or damage. Assembly instructions require close attention, yet were thorough and clear. Putting it together took considerable time, but the result was well worth the effort. Experience with products requiring assembly is advised. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the desk. Very attractive, functional, and sturdy. I would recommend this product.

It actually came together perfectlyA little time consuming figuring it out but it is a really great desk after completion. A couple tricky areas but this desk is solid. Customer service was great. Real live people with nice personalities. Needed a couple extra parts and they were sent immediately.
