Looks so luxuriousThis coffee table looks more expensive than it is. Takes a while to put together but it’s not difficult. There was a dent in the top when received but contacted the seller and they sent a replacement with no issues. Will definitely purchase from them again.

Good value for priceFor the price, this is a great piece of furniture. Mine came with all parts in excellent condition. The instructions are very easy to understand and have clearly labeled images. The writers of the booklet have a good sense of humor: halfway through they advise taking a break to refill your drink, and after the last step they suggest it’s nap time. Be advised, it is a laminate particle board (i.e. not real wood), but it is very heavy/dense. Due to the material, it is easy to scratch, so make sure to be careful when assembling and to use coasters, placemats, and such afterwards. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was the assembly time. The whole process from opening the box, checking to make sure all pieces were included (there are A LOT of different hardware pieces that look very similar), and getting it assembled took me well over 4 hours. (Quick note: I am not particularly handy and was being extra meticulous by double and triple checking every instruction.) Also, you will need another person’s help to hold up the top of the table as you screw in the lift mechanism, but these are the very last steps in assembly.Overall, I am very happy with the table. I’ve had it fully assembled and functional for nearly two weeks. It’s great for a small apartment with no room for a dining table. The lift table raises to a perfect height to eat off of or to use a laptop on. The lift mechanism has some “spring” to it, so be careful what you have on top of the table when you’re raising and lowering it. Due to how heavy the particle board is, the table is extremely sturdy. It even holds up against my kitten jumping on the table when lifted. If you’re looking for a lift coffee table, but don’t want to pay an exorbitant amount of money for real wood table, this is an excellent alternative.Lastly, here is the link to this item on the original company’s website: […]

Some Issues, But Solid OverallPros:-Directions are easy to follow, and breaks things down well, everything is clearly labeled.-Very Sturdy overall, with lots of storage and a great lifting surface! Highly functional and the lift top is perfect.-Most importantly, it is what I wanted and what I expected.Cons:-The hole placement is occasionally questionable, which isn’t helped by the fact that assembly is awkward in places. Certain things don’t *quite* line up. Putting on the pillar trim on the corners is probably the best example of this.-Definitely don’t try to use a power drill to put it together, I destroyed a screw that way and-There is no extra hardware included. If you mess up at all, you’ll have to make a trip to the hardware store.-The finish scratches extremely easily.Honestly I’m happy with it, as I did a lot of comparison shopping and this was the exact design I was looking for at one of the best possible price points, but if you’re looking for something a bit more on the formal side you would probably want to jump for something that demands a slightly higher budget.

Nightmare assemblyExtremely difficult assembly. Parts don’t fit properly (I had to sand one part to fit), holes not deep enough for screws, blind assembly, screw packages not marked, etc. Then found out you need two people for final steps. Most difficult assembly I have encountered. And I have assembled many.

Great Value- lots of workSauder always offers a great value for the money- but you also get what you pay for. A Million pieces to put together, some of which are NOT labeled, so you have to figure it out yourself. Someone who loves to (and is used to) put things together, can definitely figure it out, for those who don’t do stuff like this on a regular basis, it is a big challenge, and much more overwhelming. The table has no drawers to get into the items under the lift part of it, so you have to pull it up and toward you, THEN walk around the table to the other side to get what you need. It would make much more sense to either add drawers or have the lift-top part go both ways (toward and away from you). My fault for not thinking about that before, though, and I can deal with it, even though it is inconvenient. Just a “Food-for-thought” though, for the manufacturer. Maybe they should have clients test it BEFORE bringing it onto the market, to determine if there are some things they could change prior to having people upset or frustrated.

Just as pictured. This table almost got 5 stars. If we could do 4 and a half that’s what we would’ve done. There was a place or two in the instructions that could’ve been more clear. We had two ppl putting it together and I highly recommend doing it that way all the way. The edges on the table (Where the top meets the side on the lift up) was not perfect. I don’t think anyone but me will notice so it will be okay, it just makes me wonder about the overall longlasting life of the table. It is very nice, esp. for the price. Overall we are very satisfied with the purchase. The lift up mechanism is very tight. You do need to grab both sides to pull it up. I think overtime and use this may get easier. It does stay up well. It wont close unless you make it. It seems very sturdy and solid. I would post a pict, but it is exactly as it looks. The storage inside did pleasantly surprise, I was picturing it being shallower.

Pretty good for priceIt took several hours to put together, but the final product seems sturdy and it all went together well. It did end up being a little smaller than I thought it would be so check the dimensions before ordering! The only real problem I had was that the feet wood doesn’t match the wood design on the rest of the piece. I am now attempting to have them send me the correct color and all should be fine if they do.
