Great lumbar support, adjustable! This is a great chair, very comfortable and it comes with a space between the lumbar support and the back of the chair so you can stuff more back support if needed, I needed it. Great quality leather, adjustable arm rests, They are a little wiggly but I will stuff something in it to stiffen them up. Wheels are working good, no problems, I am 240 lbs and it supports me fine. I would recommend this chair. Love it.

Perfect if your 5′ tallThe back of this chair is ridiculously short – the pad you see that appears to be at the back of your head is actually pushing your shoulders forward, placing you in a leaning/slumping forward position. I am a 5’10” 180 lb man.I stupidly cut up the box so returning this POS is more trouble than it’s worth – guess I’ll give it to a relative if I can find one short enough.Trust me, buy something else.

Neutral to SubparThe quality and comfortability of this chair is just ok. Personally I’ll likely buy another chair as I use it a lot (work from home and gaming.) So this was a pretty bad deal for me, but doubt most will use the same way I do.There’s a few issue that leaned me away from giving it a neutral score.1.) The arm rests only shift up and down. Knew this from the picture, but didn’t quite realize how bad this would be shifting off my old chair that had highly configurable arm rest placement. Often depending how I sit back, it can dig into my side or arms. The way I sit while working vs playing games (keyboard or controller,) is often pretty different.2.) The back doesn’t seem to put enough pressure on the lower back. This is one of the only chairs I’ve had where I had to get a pillow to support my back.3.) The headrest is comfortable but too lowly position, so it pushes into your upper back unless you skootch down. Would be great if it was adjustable.

Buying a good office chair online is NOT EASY.YES YES YES! Buying a good office chair online is NOT EASY. I’ve found this out the hard way. This is well represented by the description. THIS IS VERY VERY STURDY! I’m quite fond of the way that the arms are constructed! This is great on the back… I do have 3 bad discs… So I know of what I speak. And YES I DID .. end up stuffing a small bath towel behind the flexible back brace that moves with your back… I did this for super lumbar support. FOR THE MONEY… I do highly recommend this chair. Shipping was quick. Nothing was difficult or missing. Bolts are of excellent quality. This SHOULD be the last chair I buy for several years.

Good chair but not worth the extra $$$… cheaper chairs have same/more features/comfort.I sit all day (programmer) and one thing i dont mind ‘investing’ in is a good office chair. After days of contemplating and searching, driving to Staples, Office Max and other various furniture stores i deiced to buy this overpriced chair with hopes that it would hit the mark.I’m replacing an existing Lane office chair (WHICH I”D LOVE TO PURCHASE AGAIN). The box arrived today and I put together the chair…. looking at the sewing patterns and material underneath the chair I can already tell the quality in this product (AND ITS A SERTA!?) is lacking. I paid $125 MORE than i paid for my last chair and its already leaving much to be desired. The comfort of the chair is okay dont get me wrong.. but the $125 less expensive chair I was replacing has more cushion along with a bigger seat and higher head rest. This serta chair.. well there is no head rest… it looks like it from the picture but the top of the chair is below the base of my neckline (and i’m average size, 5’10”).After testing the chair for a few hrs, the lower lumbar support is indeed as advertised… feels great. However my final decision is to continue using my older Lane office chair because of the head rest and shape/comfort of the seat cushion.

The lumbar support was terrific. But thenI’ve been using this chair at my desk for 4-6 hours a day for a little over a month. At first I was thrilled. The lumbar support was terrific. But then, after about three weeks, I started feeling pain from the frame around the lumbar component. The lumbar component has no significant padding; there’s just air between it and the chair back. That construction worked great for a while, adapting to my anatomy and providing a custom-feeling fit. Then, over time, what apparently has happened is that the leather cover of the component has stretched over time, leaving its metal frame more prominent. As a remedy for that problem, I’ve stuffed padding (towels) behind the lumbar component (where there was nothing but air before) in an effort to push out the middle of the component and lessen the exposure of the bothersome frame. That helped some. I’m sure it could help more if I stuffed more padding back there. But I’m sick of dealing with it, and I’ve settled for placing a cushion over the lumbar support. That way the frame can’t jab me. It’s a disappointing development for a chair that showed so much promise at first.

I tightened them up real good only to find that the height adjusters for the …Looks much larger than it appears and the arms wiggle. I tightened them up real good only to find that the height adjusters for the arm rests are some sort of cheap plastic slip overs for the metal supports.Fairly comfortable, I use my computer for about 10 hours a day and so far it’s kept me feeling comfy. I love that the tilt and elevation controls are by wire and not that stupid metal bar.Overall though, completely over priced. The chair just isn’t worth 200 dollars – I’ve sat in chairs from Office Depot that are more comfortable and half the price. Not worth dis-assembly and sending back. If you buy this, you’ll likely wish you hadn’t but still be okay with keeping it.

Lacks proper back support. Bonded leather cracks quickly. Does have some positive features.I have had this chair … The Serta air Mid-Back, Bonded Leather Black version, since mid July 2015.Immediately after assembling the chair, It was my impression that the mid-back support was very poor. I even added stuffing under the mid-back area pocket. Still It did not offer comfortable mid-back support. The design causes me to hunch over rather than to sit up straight.I have owned far less expensive office chairs that offered more appropriate back support and comfort. In addition, the bonded leather began cracking and peeling at about the two year mark.I thought perhaps it was something I was doing wrong, but I see that the cracking and peeling issue is a common complaint for this office chair as well as bonded leather in general. The chair does have a few nice features, though. I.e. the arms are adjustable for height as well as width, and the height of the seat is easily adjustable. Also, the rollers have held up well.

comfortable chair, but not recommended for the officeI work in an office and purchased this chair hoping to replace my chair at work. I am 5’5″ and found the chair comfortable to sit in, but not to type in. The construction is sturdy, but a couple of the screw holes were poorly drilled making it difficult to assemble. There is plenty of seat room for an average size person. When seated, the chair back is not high enough to rest your head/neck against it. The only adjustments you can make is for the tilt and height of the chair. In the neutral position, the chair sits at a slight reclining angle. You cannot adjust the chair to sit up straight. I would not recommend this chair in an office work environment.
