Dull but SturdyI purchased the Trinnell 5-drawer dresser (chest) a few months ago and I really like it. It came assembled so there were no screwups on my part, and the drawers are adequately sized. What didn’t fit from the drawers in my ancient 6-drawer horizontal dresser I decided to pare down and keep only essentials. There is no balance problem, the drawers move smoothly in and out, and the only complaint I can make is that it is not a polished piece of furniture. I got it for the sale price of $269.00, so I love it. (I find that holding things in a wish list is good for daily price checking, and struck while the iron was hot.)

Not real wood, pleased with it as isIt is very difficult to find solid wood furniture these days, and almost never in this price point. So I knew it was NOT real wood when I ordered it. I feel like it is sturdy enough for the purpose of holding clothing, it has a pleasing look (my daughter’s room is very western themed), it arrived within a week of me ordering it and it came assembled. For all those reasons I consider it a decent price and a solid 4 star experience.

All Wood and Comes AssembledThis is a nice-looking chest of drawers. It has the most robust connectors I’ve ever seen for the drawer guides inside the chest. However, the guides are the drawers are not well attached and during shipping, they all pulled out and ripped the wood on the drawers. There is no way to reattach them as they were designed. I suppose they can be glued on.Amazon and Ashley offered to exchange the damaged unit with a new one, so I am pleased with their customer service to fix the problem. I gave it four stars because of the great customer service.

DisappointedFirst let me say that I was surprised by the delivery guys who rang my doorbell at 7:15 in the morning, which was earlier than I had expected. Due to my not being completely prepared for them to deliver the item into the house – as I still had two barking dogs racing through the house making it impossible for me to open the front door and keep it ed opened for them to bring the dressers inside – I was not able to examine the items. I was struck by the delivery man stating he needed to take a picture of the one box before they left. When I did open the box the next day – which appeared slightly damaged – I found one of the drawers did not go in all the way and realized it was because the dresser had been “punched” or something from the back so that the “board” that served as the backing was shoved into the drawer area. The staple – not even a tack – that held the back board on was sprung loose so the backing now also curled out on one side. Besides all of this, the edge of the ‘board’ that was the backing was very raggedly cut causing the appearance to look a a junior high shop project. My husband is going to need to find another board he can use for the backing and attach it securely. All in all, it seemed pretty junky and I was disappointed this was the quality that would be going into our spare bedroom since I had decided not to spend a couple of thousand dollars on the two dressers. They had to fit a certain space, but there must be some middle ground between paying a fortune and getting junk. I did take a couple of pictures that I could text to you, but at 72 I have not mastered the art of transferring pictures from my cell phone to my computer. I will not be buying from you again!!! I don’t know if it is Ashley furniture that is at fault or poor storage and delivery. Either way, I am not happy.

MatchesGot this to match the rest of my bedroom set, it arrived mostly assembled, and a little damaged- amazon gave me a partial refund, and I fixed the broken drawer to the point where it can function. Was a bit of a bummer.

Very beautiful, and well madeThis came faster then expected – by 2 weeks by the estimated arrival date. The dresser comes intact in a huge box – the only thing you have to do is screw on the handles. Delivery is by a furniture company but they don’t unpack it for you. I recommend using 2 people because it is very well packed and attached to a piece of a wood pallet for extra sturdiness – so you will have to out the box on its side to get all the staples out. I was very impressed with how well it was packed, and the dresser is absolutely beautiful. The drawers are very smooth moving also. I can’t wait to order more stuff to go with this dresser!
