Description
This upholstered dining room chair arrives at the table with the full scale comfort of a favorite living room chair. Classic tufting dresses up the high, beautifully curved back. Both seat and back are firmly cushioned and covered in a linen-weave textured upholstery. How to Care for Leather – Dust often and use a vacuum cleaner crevice tool to clean seams. Clean weekly using a damp sponge or soft, lint-free cloth. Do not rub; instead, wipe gently. Do not use or place sharp objects on leather goods. Leather is very durable; however, it is not accident or damage proof. Keep leather furniture out of direct sunlight and at least two feet from heat sources to avoid fading and cracking. Do not place newspapers or magazines on leather furniture. The ink from these items may be transferred onto the leather. Do not use abrasives; harsh chemicals; saddle soap; leather cleaners that contain any oils, soaps or detergents; or common household cleaners on leather furniture. Only use recommended leather cleaners. Follow instructions for any gentle leather cleaner you might use. Additionally, leather conditioners provide a barrier to stains and help extend the life of your leather. Before using any cleaning/conditioning product on leather, test it in an obscure area. Improper cleaning may void your leather furniture warranty. How to Remove Spots, Spills and Stains from Leather: Water Spots – A water spot can be removed by wiping the entire area seam to seam with a damp cloth so there is no “demarcation point” on the leather and the leather can dry uniformly. Pet Urine Stains – We recommend “Natures Miracle” available in pet stores for removing pet urine stains and neutralizing the area. Follow product directions on the product. Please note that anytime you are “washing” or cleaning leather you must do the entire cushion, seam to seam, edge to edge, so as not to end up with a water stain. If leather can dry evenly there is no “demarcation point.” Ink Stains: Ink remover sticks are effective in removing or reducing noticeable ink markings from most leathers. Oil/Food Grease Stains – Small oil stains can be treated and successfully removed if addressed immediately. Rub corn starch briskly into the stain with your fingers until the heat from the friction is felt. That heat loosens the oil and allows the corn starch to absorb the oil before the leather can. Vacuum or brush the powder off. Repeat until the stain is gone. Water Stains – What does it take to clean water stains? Clean water. Should you have a “ring” or demarcation from glass condensation from a glass, soak a new sponge with room temperature water; wring sponge as much as possible. Starting at the spot, dampen the leather and move the sponge to the edges of the cushion. Allow moisture to become less and less as you get further from the spot. Don’t scrub, just wipe.

Love Love Love them!!The chairs came earlier than expected. I am so very happy with the chairs! The color granite matches my table top perfectly. They were well packaged. The Parson chairs are sturdy and well made. I am extremely happy with everything!!

Love my new chairs!!I LOVE my new chairs!! They were easy to assemble. They are comfortable, and stylish. The look beautiful!I had an issue with one chair because it came broken, but I contacted Amazon and they replaced the item right away. They made it super easy for me to return it as well.If you buy these chairs, make sure who the seller is, so you have a great experience like me.

Found easy way to put together plus 2 have a slight petroleum smellThe chairs arrived and I stared putting them together by the directions. Nothing would line up. I finally skipped the first step and started with the second one first. I wiggled the seat while starting the 4 long side bolts. I screwed them down but not tight and then went back to fist step 2 bolts. The first chair took me an hour. The remaining 3 took about 15 min on each chair. 2 of the chairs have a slight petroleum smell. My have to send them back. We have ours on a rug and they do not wobble. I took the Allen wrench and ground the angle off and put it in my drill. This helped out a lot. The Allen will strip if you put to much pressure on it.

A nightmare to assembleThe chairs are very pretty and very comfortable, but putting them together is beyond a headache. The bolts don’t line up with the drilled holes. My husband had to redrill the holes and use deck screws to put three of the four together. There was no quality control when these were being prepared for shipping. All of the hardware was there, it was just useless because nothing fit together. Don’t buy these unless you have woodworking experience or an engineering degree.

Rolling the DiceI read the other reviews and was worried about the uneven/wobbly legs. We went to an Ashley store to check them out and saw that even in their showroom some of their chairs had wobbly legs, but some didn’t. We decided to roll the dice and get them because: 1) We only needed 2 chairs (we wanted to have “host chairs” for our new table set we bought elsewhere- see the photo) and 2) These chairs were the look we wanted, and were a good price. We decided to follow the instructions exactly to hopefully avoid or decrease the probability of having the wobbly leg problem. I checked to make sure we got all the bolts (we did) and I made sure I was using the right sized bolts in the correct places. The instructions say to put the bolts in but to not tighten them with the Allen wrench until all the bolts are in place. It also says to level out the chair before you tighten them with the Allen wrench. So, we put all the bolts in, tightened them slightly by hand, turned the chair right-side up, put it on the hardwood floor and then had our 5 year old sit on the seat to “level” it. Then my husband tightened the bolts with the Allen wrench. One seat came out just perfectly (no wobbles.) The other chair has a very slight wobble but it’s not noticeable when you actually sit in the chair. All things considered, I call that a win.

Beautiful NightmareMy chairs arrived disassembled, packed safely without damage, and ready for assembly. Does approximately 4 hours to assemble then sound reasonable? The Allen wrench is definitely not adequate for the job. The holes don’t line up with the screws. It’s luck when in occurs. I love the chairs, but not worth the time it takes to assemble them. I ordered another set from a local furniture store which puts then together. It took him about 10 minutes. He showed me an attachment that he used on his power drill. So, my advice is not to try to assemble these chairs without a special drill bit unless you enjoy putting yourself through 4 hours of stress. Oh, did I mention that the chairs are beautiful and comfortable!

Beautiful, comfortable chairs. These are beautiful chairs. We purchased them to be host seats at our new dining room table, but unfortunately haven’t received the table yet (that was a nightmare in and of itself. Although Amazon has been MEGA helpful and is getting me the set sent out from a different seller even though it was priced higher. So that’s wonderful — caution…don’t order through the River Oak Group). Ok, back to the chairs…I’m not sure how they’ll fit at my table yet, but they look great, and went together fairly easily. Although I did have some issues on one of the holes not lining up and took some finageling to get it to fit using both my and my husbands strength, wits, and patience. I noticed a similar issue as other reviewers about one of the chairs having a wobble, and that was the one that we had a tough time with, so we didn’t bother pulling it apart again to try to even it out. I’ll be putting felt pads under all the feet anyway, so that should take care of it. Regardless, for the price and beauty, I’d still order them again!

HIRE SOMEONE TO PUT TOGETHERAs others mentioned, you need some major anxiety meds to get these together. Wish I took their advice. 4 of us sat on the floor for over 3 hours to put together 5 of the 6. The hardware is stapled to the bottoms so you have to pry all the staples out first (took about 30 minutes). The stars have to align just right to make the bolts go in without stripping them. We found putting a little dish soap on the end helped with getting them started and the second set went a tiny bit faster but it still took many many many tries to get it together.Chairs look soft but are hard. They have a lot of brown in them so not true gray. Hopefully they hold up!
