Motivated to buy after reading positive reviews…No Regrets!I was looking for a functional ottoman for the bedroom. Wanted one that looked smart, had storage and could sit on to put on socks and shoes. I didn’t want or need to spend too much for a real leather piece of furniture for the purpose I planned to use it for.I found what I needed with the SIMPLIHOME Avalon 48” ottoman. After reading the reviews and looking at pictures, I decided to purchase and glad I did. It’s decent quality, well enough constructed, flaw free, no manufacturing smell, easy to assemble (only need to screw on the four legs) while the top opens and closes easily. Once I lift the top to open, the top stays open without having to hold it which is a great feature. To close, just push down.The ottoman seems secure enough to handle a good amount of weight to sit on although, I would recommend and will personally practice sitting on the ends and not the center just to make sure there’s enough structural support. I weigh around 250 lbs. and the ottoman handles my weight easily while putting on socks/shoes AND while having the storage compartment filled with various bedroom items.BTW, in the description it says the piece was made in China. The piece I received said on the box “Made in Vietnam”. Great craftsmanship for what it is and happy I bought this ottoman after considering others. It looks great!

Lots of Storage Space!This good-looking bench has LOTS of storage space. The only negative is that the legs are short, which makes the bench a bit too close to the floor for me. But the bench looks classy and has a beautiful color!

Beautiful color, great storage & affordableI love the color, love the material, it’s super easy to keep clean it arrived almost fully assemble just had to screw on 4 feet. Clean with a mild soap it will slowly discolor if harsh clearness are used… this is my 2nd one from this company 1st one is same material but different color it’s still in use but looks a little rough after being used in a play room for a few years! And I used bleach based cleaners to scrub it down. That’s my fault—- a baby wipe or even a Clorox wipe is okay to use but mild soap & water is best for this material. Don’t spray it down constantly with heavy chemical cleaners & u shouldn’t have any issues…This size Is perfect for toy box, blanket or game storage. Having a place to hide my babies toys that is not an eye sore is excellent…the Hinges hold it open nicely it does not slam even when he try’s to slam it which was a concern of mine because my toddler literally climbs in and out of everything constantly. He gets up into this one & sits and plays for hours so he definitely approves. The lid is not self closing u have to close it or it stays open which I like… Ive had company over & a couple teenagers sitting on it at once. It seems to be sturdy enough. I don’t recommend running and plopping down on it but who does that anyways. Only improvement I think could be made is maybe additional support in center on the bottom & on lid. I worry over time with it being used for seating it will start to swag in the middle because there’s no real support there. But so far so good! It’s beautiful & adds a nice pop of color to any room. You can also remove feet if you would like it looks great just sitting flat on the ground as well. I’ve only had it a couple weeks but so far I love it.

Beautifully MadeLooks like real leather! Excellent faux quality.The color said blue but it looks like a teal green to me. I don’t mind because it fits beautifully with my decor and color palette.It’s already in use as storage at the end of my bed. My beds are high profile so this storage bench has also made a jump up on the bed much easier for my aging terrier. I really got it for her instead of steps that she would have not liked. Esthetically, it’s a much more chic look!and she loves it too!

Dogs lifesaverI bought this chest for my dog to keep at the end of my bed to help him get up in bed now that he is getting older. I left the legs off to keep it a little lower fo him. He would cry because he couldn’t jump up anymore amd was too stubborn and proud to be lifted. Now he zooms up and down like a puppy! He loves it!
