Didn’t work for meJust ok. I thought it would be good at first, but after two days it was killing my lumbar area. I like that has a long back, and a headrest, but that’s about it. It may work well for others though. It’s just tricky to buy these online. And this is a big bulky chair, and super ugly. It dominates the room unless you have a set up that allows it be behind the desk. In my office the first thing you see when you walk in is the back of the chair – basically a giant piece of plastic. I am returning, and the search will continue.

Great chair for the moneyThe Vari swivel chair is carefully engineered and designed. It is made for years of usage. Nearly everything is adjustable. For example, the seat can be pushed forward or backward, but is then locked in place. The seat and the armrests can be independently raised or lowered. The tilt of the back can rock with low or high resistance. The seat has plenty of padding for a swivel chair. There is some lumbar support. My back is a little tricky, and I find that the chair is plenty comfortable. I am 5’10” and the adjustable headrest fits my head well. The wheels make the chair easy to move on carpet or hard floors. They are good in quality, and they should last the life of the chair. One could pay triple and probably find a slightly better swivel chair. Yet, I am very happy with the value I got for my dollar. I do recommend this chair for almost any office or home.

Good idea, flaws in designThis is supposedly one of the better chairs out there in this price range. I would broadly tend to agree but there are four things that I don’t like about it:1. The headrest needs one more higher adjustment, I am 6′ tall with a longer torso (than legs, so torso of a 6’2″ guy perhaps). The headrest in it’s highest position is not high enough and touches the top most (higher) vertebra under my neck, which is uncomfortable.2. The back is ‘too flexible’: if I am not in the center of the chair (side to side) and lean back, the whole back tilts farther back in one direction – basically making me feel like my torso is falling back in one direction, which is weird and uncomfortable (I should never get a hammock feeling in an ergonomic office chair)3. The armrest are too stiff and my elbows get sore after a while4. The seat ‘pull out’ setting is not enough, and does not properly support my upper legsI am not sure which of these things can be addressed by support. Thinking of returning if I have time left.2.

Decent chairI’ve had this chair for about a week. The design is a bit unusual, particularly with the lumbar support in the back, but it works well.Pros: – comfortable (I’m 5’11”) – good padding in the seat – nice mesh in the back, stretchy – easy to assemble – coasters roll smoothly (on hardwood) – armrests are soft, squishy plasticCons: – annoying creaking sound when I move even slightly while sitting in the chair (forward, backward, side to side). I’ll have to try oiling it. – headrest seems too far forward and can’t be adjusted back. But I’m not used to chairs with headrests, so I can’t really compare.

Comfortable & AdjustableAt first I thought it was a little pricy but then once I sat in it I understood why. Solid build and ability to adjust to comfort. Head rest can be removed but I keep it on for my neck.

Already falling apart after less than 1 month of useI was originally super happy with this chair until I noticed the back rest is starting to rip. There are little bumps in the frame of the chair which rub against the material and over time it causes a rip or tear. I contacted the company regarding this issue and they assured that it was a defect. I received the new unit and there is the same protruding objects which are present with the original chair. I tried communicating with the company as a means to let them know about the issue in hopes they could solve the design issue but it doesn’t seem like they are interested. Aside from the back rest, this chair is fantastic. I had to update my review because the back rest was rather unexpected and is also an important component of the chair.Original review: This product is just as advertised. The only tool I needed to set up this chair was a pair of scissors to open the box. It arrived around 3 PM and by 3:08 PM I was back to work. This chair is immensely comfortable immediately taking pressure off my back and shoulders. One of the best things about this chair is the free range of motion of your back. If you shift to the left the chairs back also shifts left allowing you to move and be more mobile while sitting instead of being a stationary. The installation and set up was rather intuitive. I wish I found this chair six months ago instead of wasting my money on another product. Truly a fantastic chair and I really hope that it is as durable as it feels.

Watch your back!!Literally!! Chair is very easy to assemble, and appears to be quite solid. However, the plastic frame that holds the mesh on the back of the chair *flexes* very easily if you shift your weight to either side. I don’t think this will break, but it causes a very weird sensation if you are leaning back on the chair and all of a sudden you turn your head to either side and shift your weight a little bit, you will feel the entire back of the chair flex with you, giving you the impression that you are about to fall. I haven’t fallen yet! but it’s a feeling that will take some getting used to. I would have preferred more rigidity on the back.

Much better than my previous chairThe only thing I don’t like about this chair is that it doesn’t have a tilt adjustment for the seat. The back can be leaned but the seat makes me feel like I am always leaning forward or about to fall out of my seat.

This chair is comfortable and durable. I would recommend it to someone else.I have been working from home now due to Covid-19 and spend 8 hours a day in front of my computer. I bought this chair to replace my at-home office chair that broke. After doing my research, I chose this because of the manufacturer’s weight allowance (higher than the others); thinking that it must be pretty well-made to be able to handle this much weight. It is well built and should last me a long time. I’m a satisfied customer.

Great Customer Service, comfortable, easy to assembleThe task chair took just about 3 mins. to assemble (no tools needed) and is very comfortable. I was EXCEPTIONALLY impressed with Vari’s customer service. Through no fault of their own, I experienced a number of delivery issues which they took care of. When the chair finally arrived, the height adjustment didn’t work. They sent a replacement chair immediately. Quality products and quality service. I’d definitely order from them again.
