UPDATED 7/24/22. This is form over function…uncomfortable but cuteThe media could not be loaded.
UPDATE: After posting the below review, the seller did contact me about my experience. They said that the seats are solid Elm wood. They were apologetic about the imperfections on the seat of stools that I received and after some back and forth offered me a partial refund. Because of the customer service, I am bumping these stools up from 3 stars to 4 stars. Your mileage may vary, but I appreciate when a seller tries to make sure that their customers are happy with what they receive. My original review can be found, below._______________________________I am currently doing a light remodel and setting up a gaming/art-making room for myself and my kids. I bought these stools to pair with a drafting table we will use for drawing and other activities. I wanted seating that would work whether the table was tilted (would need low seating) or fully flat (would need high seating). These stools satisfied that need. The height adjustability is excellent. You must sit on these to adjust them. They will not move unless there is significant weight on top of them (my elementary age kid is not heavy enough). I like the look of these….they are a medium brown without too much of a red undertone. I have walnut colored things in my space and these get along well with those items without being a perfect match. I love the grain and look of the wood, but these wood tops feel hollow. I wonder if they are two separate pieces glued together or if it is just really lightweight wood? You can feel the bumps, cracks and grain so these are not laminated pieces. When I assembled these I sliced open my thumb on one of the many tiny metal burrs along the edge of the metal supports. Also, the stain (or possibly glue) that was used can be easily seen as drips along the edge of the seat. These flaws should have been fixed during the manufacturing process.Assembly was easy…screw the top portion of the metal supports to the stool, drop the pneumatic (?) post into the the base (remove cap from this part first) and then drop the top portion on top of it all.Neither the manual or the box mention a weight capacity for these but 200 lb people have been using them without an issue. These swivel completely around. They do make noise sometimes when swiveling (sounds like a swing set that needs oil). The footrest is a nice addition but I find that these seats are quickly uncomfortable. They hurt the backs of my upper legs. My kids love them so if you are petite these may not bother you as quickly as they do me. They don’t feel extremely sturdy but that may be because I am using them on a soft, carpeted surface at the moment (feels slightly wobbly like the top part may come off). Lastly, when you sit on these they dip down a full inch or so. This means that you need to adjust them slightly higher than you need to get the right height.Overall, I like to stools but I do not love them. Visually they were better looking than the competition that met my height requirements so I purchased them. However, when you combine the shoddy finishing and the hollow feel of these seats they just feel incredibly overpriced.

Great tool but do not wear pants with hard buttonsThese are nice bar stools. I like how they are adjustable in height. The wood is a nice appearance for the seat. The only problem I have and wanted to warn buyers of is that you do not want to wear pants or anything that has hard buttons on the back where when you sit on these because it scratches the wood services. I didnt realize it till it already happened. I’m trying to find a way to smooth it out without making it look worst but if any other buyers have had this problem and can provide a solution I am all ears. Other than that it’s a great bar stools and I do recommend. It added a photo of what the scratch looks like that the button from my pants created.

Stinkin Cute Counter Stools!!😘I’ve been searching for a perfect stool for my island that didn’t break the bank…this is it!.. sturdy, weighty, and oh so easy to put together… took less than 10 minutes for both! These replaced a wood set that never fit together, and always felt like they were going to collapse.Another thing I love is how adorable and different these stools are than any I have seen. You can’t go wrong with them! The seller sent an email ahead of delivery explaining the initial step for assembly… great customer service!

Beautiful but bouncy (and not a very pleasant bounce)These chairs are great decor but not very great as functional high chairs. They feel wobbly if you set them too high and compress too much under weight. I would almost tolerate it if not for the fact that the compression isn’t a slow clean glide downward—you can feel the chair abruptly lower/raise when you adjust your sitting posture and that’s pretty distracting. I still like how they look though and have accepted that I’m keeping them purely for aesthetics.

Cute but TippyVery light and kind of tippy. Cute and easy to assemble. Sink when you sit on them even an 100 lbs person. One of the stools arrived with chipped paint. One stool is lopsided after a week of very light use.
