I’m a side then move to back sleeper & my husband is a back sleeper & we both sleep like the dead in this bedThere is no kind way to start this review so I’m just going to be blunt because you deserve blunt in mattress buying – it is SO important to be clear because a good/bad mattress GREATLY impacts your life! So here we go with the blunt – are you ready?! We’re short, fat people. No. Really! About 100lbs overweight each. Don’t judge – we have our reasons & I’m not sharing to open myself up to ridicule + with the New Year we are committed to losing! So why do you need to know we’re fat, short people?! So you will know that because of our sizes we have really put this mattress through a workout since we bought it in August…and it is FABULOUS!!! I’m a side then move to back sleeper & my husband is a back sleeper & we both sleep like the dead in this bed! The bed is NOT hot, when we climb in (hello- we’re short gotta climb!) we can tell there are springs, but when we lay down we don’t feel them (no poking, etc.), and overall our bodies just feel well supported in a not too firm way! To think we bought this as a temporary bed – just to have since we moved 2200 miles & weren’t taking our old mattress with us. We figured after we found a house to buy we’d upgrade – found the house faster than we planned & now this bed is coming from our temporary apartment to our house!!! With the outlay of so much money updating the house it’s nice to not have to invest in a new bed!Just to give you a comparison – previously we had the Lucid 10″ (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00478U768/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1) which at the time we spent $349 on & is now priced at $287 as it should rightfully be priced less than this bed because the Lucid SUCKED! It was comfortable for about the first 6 months & then it started forming a divot in the shape of our bodies & gotta say – even when you are the person making the divot you still don’t want a fat person divot in your bed! The Lucid was also REALLY hot – we would sweat on a winter’s night while it was raining outside & the inside of our house was never warmed to more than 68°F! The divot also affected smoochy-smoochy time (divots are REALLY not conducive to that!). We kept the Lucid for about 18 months after we were both disgruntled with it because we knew we were moving & wanted to move small. For the last 6 months I didn’t even sleep with my husband. I slept in this recliner (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002WGJHHW/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1) in the living room & got WAY better sleep in a cheapo (yet fabulous) recliner that’s NOT made for fat people than I ever did in the Lucid!Bottomline – this fat lady has sung! Mattress buying is over! If we need another mattress at some point we’ll be buying this one again! Already decided to buy the Queen size for our guest room & the 8″ Twin for our children! I feel like Oprah – guests get a Zinus, children get a Zinus, everyone (in our family) gets a Zinus! Now that you’re done reading my review – YOU go get yourself a Zinus!!!

So far I’m impressed!Okay so I just got this today, haven’t slept in it, but I have to admit I’m extremely excited.1) the instructions are pretty clear that the mattress can be violent when opening as seen in some of the other review videos but mine wasn’t at all.2) the box had some damage from shipping but the mattress was unharmed3) the little pamphlet on the inside said there could be a smell (as stated in some other reviews) but mine had no smell at all.4) the springs immediately uncoiled, the memory foam took about 2 hours to puff up5) it is a good bit shorter than my previous mattress, as seen by the length compared to my current bed frame. But when I put my mattress pad on top (which had always been a bit short on my other mattress)[lucid 3 inch lavender infused topper] I was less worried and figured my old mattress was just weirdly long (it was supplied by my building and was a horrible 6 inch plastic covered spring mattress.All in all: this is my first mattress purchase. I was worried about some of the reviews but at 21k and 4.7 rating, I figured I would chance it. This is a great choice for students. I bought mine for 230$ And it was a steal! I have really bad sciatica so I’m really looking forward to sleeping on this.

ComfortableBought this for my 10 year old son as he just had a twin bed so he now has a full size bed and he loves this mattress. He says it’s very comfortable and sleeps is great on it.

Great mattress for the priceOut of the box it looks like this- Be carefulthe second you cut the plastic binding this thing springs into shape.I liked the quality of the mattress for the price I paid- it is just a single mattress and I put a 1/2 dense foam cover to it that makes it a bit too soft. If I had to sleep on it every night I would get a box spring and top mattress set but for my guest room it’s fine.

Great mattress!This is such an easy way to order a mattress. Arrives in an easy to handle box. Unfolds easy. Expands in a couple of hours although you should wait to use it for a full day. It is very comfortable. No pressure points at all. Love it!

Not as soft as I thought for a foam bed.This bed came packaged great. Unlike some boxed beds I’ve heard about this bed was so easy to get out and setup.I did expect it to be softer but you can feel the springs when you get in or out of the bed. However, once you get in the bed is comfortable. A shirt queen can fit two adults easily and is perfect for your RV or trailer.

Neat and priced well but not firm enoughThis is a nice bed in a box- however, it is not firm enough for anyone over about 150lbs. I got this for my kids so it will serve its intended purpose but I would not recommend for an adult who likes support while sleeping. Kind reminds me of a waterbed….if that’s your cup of tea…go for it. If they make a firmer option-I’d get one for myself. That being said- the price is unbeatable and the quality seems good-the only issue fo me is the firmness.

GoodInstantly inflated when I cut the outer plastic off…literally in 5 minutes but it said to give it 24-72 hours so I waited 2 days before I put on my kid’s beds…i put cardboard underneath so it won’t slide around & my kids are 6 & 7 so I left the inner plastic on for a protector…perfect for themUpdate…the cardboard doesn’t help…lol
