Super easy to put togetherOrdered this bed frame after breaking my old ikea one after 3 hours of trying to disassemble it (took me 6 hours to put that one together originally)Took me 20 minutes to put this one together by myself, no stupid hardware just hex bolts. The not slip take for the mattress and velcro for the wood slats are a nice touch.I saw a lot of reviews mentioning issues with the cuts on the frame, the middle support bar was a little bent but was easily corrected, I expected there to be some sort of issue with it being such a cheap bedframe. All in all happy with my purchase so far.

A good bed…for a few years!Writing this review in late 2022 after purchasing this bed in 2016…we were just starting out in our first home when we purchased, looking for a pretty cheap solution for a platform bed. At the time with taxes, it came to just around $150. The bed was fairly easy to assemble I recall and served us well. No creaks or shifting. The only thing that started to break were the wooden slats – a number of those have broken over the past few years. I woke up one morning practically unable to walk and realized it was because three slats had cracks or had broken all the way through, causing my back to sink weirdly into the bed. That would have been a pretty easy replacement, but we decided it was time to move on and order a ‘real’ bed with a nice headboard and everything. I’d say this is a great purchase if you need something cheap that you might want to upgrade from in a few years + can keep an eye on the slats breaking on you over time.

Solid frame right here…My wife and I are very happy with this king sized frame. It’s very durable and did not take too long to put together. Comes with a little ratchet tool which was nice. Has plenty of storage room underneath and a decent headboard. Only con is it can be loud it you swing your arms behind your head at night and smack the headboard piece.

Good bed frameBought this to replace the built-in bed platform in an RV. The frame was fairly easy to put together. I’m a single, disabled, old woman and I assembled this myself with only a drill for help. I did have trouble with one screw (out of 21) lining up nicely, but loosening the screws on the opposite side fixed the problem allowing the trouble screw to finally set right. All the pieces fit together well, with no missing pieces or shorter than should be pieces. I love that the wood slats are flush with the frame, and everything feels extremely sturdy. Overall, I’m very pleased with this bed frame so far.

Inexpensive solid bedPretty impressed. Does not squeak! I enjoy the minimalist style. Still tall enough for the cat to seek refuge under. One bolt was not drilled correctly. I was able force it with a drill. Other than that, it was an uneventful assembly.

Assembled in 15 MinutesAt first, not what I really wanted but my spouse got tired of my indecision. Absolutely fell in love. 15 minutes to assemble, sturdy and quiet. No box spring required and the queen mattress fits perfectly. Would recommend this bed frame highly and the price is a great selling point.

PerfectMy daughter just moved into her new place so I got her the bed frame and mattress. It took a second to figure out the visual instructions, and after that it was pretty simple. It’s low to the ground compared to my bed but a really good find. Her biggest complaint on her previous bed frame was the middle pole she kept stubbing her toe on, and this frame doesn’t have that.Very pleased.

Excellent bed for vintage headboardBolted up to my Broyhill Saga headboard easily and looks great. Excellent height for storage boxes without being too high off the ground

  9. Alina Hu

Very durableI have this bed frame more than 2 years. Absolutely happy with this purchase.

Wow – amazing attention to detail!I have put together MANY, MANY pieces of furniture in my life – I’d say at LEAST 50 or more. This is BY FAR the EASIEST to put together of any piece I have ever owned! The attention to detail in trying to make it easy for the customer is unheard of in DIY furniture. Proof:1. They give you a little ratchet for the screws. What?! You mean they care that you don’t get RSI in your fingers and wrists trying to screw in those things with the tiny little freebie Allen wrench that every other company gives you?? (By the way, Zinus *also* gives you the tiny little freebie wrench if you really want to wreck your wrists.)2. You match the numbers on the pieces and stick a screw in it. They put little stickers by each screw hole on EVERY piece and all you do is match “1” to “1” and put a screw in it. Match “2” to “2” and put a screw in it. Lather, rinse repeat until you have a bed. SOOOOOO easy compared to literally every furniture maker out there!3. When it came time to put the slats on, I was gearing up for some tedious job that was going to make me scream. Nope! Zinus thought of that, too! The slats are all strung together with perfectly-spaced Velcro strips, and there are matching strips on the side rails. You just set the bunch of slats down lined up with the Velcro and start unrolling. Repeat for the second set of slats. Guess what – you’re done!4. Now, most companies on amazon include some little card that says “please leave us a 5-star review…” Zinus is no different, except that they simply asked for a review, not a 5-star one specifically. Ok, fine – this is common. But what’s included that sets them apart? 3 little blank note cards that you can use for thank you notes or little kind messages to send to your friends or whatever! Such a cute idea! So simple and yet – it’s these extra little touches that clearly sets them apart in my book. Other companies can’t even be bothered to make sure the pieces all have stickers identifying them, or can’t be bothered to make sure their pictures are clear, etc.In my opinion, Zinus went WAY past the extra mile with all of these extra thoughtful touches. 2 days ago I assembled a bed that was another brand. We just moved so I’ve been assembling a LOT of furniture lately. The bed was the same kind of platform base – metal with wooden slats. Almost identical in how they are put together. Except that first one took me like 2 hours to put together! 45% of the time was spent trying to figure out what exactly the stupid little drawing was supposed to mean, 45% was spent screwing the 800 screws in with a stupid little freebie hex wrench, and 10% of the time was assembling the rest of the bed after I figured it out. The Zinus bed took me 20 minutes from box opening to unrolling the slats. One more to go today and I’m not even dreading it!Now, is the quality of this bed like that you’d get from like a $500 or $1000 bed? No. And frankly I don’t know what people here are expecting from a $100 bed. I think this bed is well worth the cost, especially given the extra touches that the manufacturer put in to make sure assembly goes smoothly!I’m sure SOMEONE at “the top” at Zinus probably tried to actually assemble the bed themselves and said “this is b@llsh*t, we HAVE to make this easier for our customers!” And then they did.
