Great sturdy bedGreat sturdy bed, but when i opened it it did smell like chemical. After setting it up , let it air and the smell goes away. I would definitely buy again for the quality

Yes it smells but still worth itYes, it smell like chemicals and fish mix together. Is it still worth it? YES! What I did was leave it on my balcony for 3 days getting sun. I also would spray it with disinfectant that smells good. After the first day of tanning about 80% of the smell was gone. By the third day all the smell was gone. Will the extra steps be worth it for you? maybe. The bed is very affordable and high quality. It is extremely well made and does not move. If it was not for the amazing quality I don’t think the fish smell would be worth it. Living with it for a month I’m very happy with it. Looks way more expensive.

Save yourself the headache (literally)If you’re like me, you might be looking at the reviews wondering what your chances are of getting a fishy smelling product.Well, I’ll save you the trouble. Go buy something else. Literally anything else. You’re going to move this extremely heavy box just to open it and fill your home with a headache-inducing fish smell.This is quite honestly the worst product I have ever bought from Amazon. It is not even close to being worth the trouble you’ll go through. Not to mention, the manufacturer is absolutely useless, so don’t have any hope of getting a replacement part for at least a month.Luckily, the headboard came with a plastic cover so I was able to put it back and seal it with tape. Otherwise, I would have taken it straight to the trash because the smell is unbearable. I called Zinus and they don’t believe it’s hazardous but wish me luck!But in all seriousness, don’t buy it and thank me later for saving you from what I’ve had to learn the hard way. Good luck!

Love!Very easy to put together and looks great! They make it so easy, they give you all the required tools and very simple directions. It is heavy so you might need some help getting it in.

Major Flaw in the wood/fabric (TOXIC FISH SMELL)Great quality frame and easy to assemble, however the headboard has a huge issue with VOC/toxic fish smell leaking out. Aired the headboard out for a week, used 1/2 can of lysol spray, used 1 bottle of vinegar spray, also used a steam cleaner with carpet solution (doing 5 passes). Over the course of one week, nothing was able to remove the strong odors. Left the headboard to air out in my basement and the entire basement/1st floor smelled ot the strong toxic odors. Contacted Zinus directly and they told me to return it immediately due to the toxic fumes. After returning the item and scrubbing the basement, took another 3 days to air out the smell from my house.
