Worried because of reviews, but extremely happy in the end.I bought this bed for my wife (she picked it out). A new bedroom is what she wanted for a wedding gift. After ordering it, I started reading the reviews and got extremely paranoid about things like bed bugs, and material condition on arrival.First thing I did when opening it was a deep inspection of every nook and cranny looking for any tell tale signs of bugs. I found zero. A few pieces of sawdust or wood dust here and there. But just to be on the safe side I took a vacuum hose and attachment to it to really get every spot cleaned up. It’s been over a month now and no sign of bed bugs or infestation so it’s safe to say this wasn’t an issue for us. Another concern I read about in the reviews was smell, and ours didn’t have any strong odor.The sturdiness is good enough for me (6 foot 4, 240 lb man) and her (5 foot 10, 120 lbs). We paired this bed frame with a Classic Brands Cool Gel Ventilated Memory Foam 10-Inch Mattress and it’s perfect.I know some people need a bed they can put stuff under. Like bins of shoes, clothes, etc. We had to lift it up just so slightly to get these bins to slide under but once past the frame, they fit no problem. A simple solution may be to get those bed rise blocks to give it an extra half inch to inch off the floor.It’s low enough that my small/medium sized dog with a bad leg can jump up on the bed and off without us worrying about him hurting himself. Granted this varies depending on the mattress you go with mostly. But our last frame was so high even with a narrower mattress, he couldn’t make the jump up.Putting it together was extremely easy and the way they shipped it was intuitive. A lot of the pieces are inside the headboard, accessed from a zipper in the back (which is also great for inspection upon receiving it). Pro tip: store some scented potpourri packs in the head board to add freshness to your room, or socks with baking soda for room deodorizing.In my photo if you are wondering what nightstands we got (perfect height with a 10-12 inch mattress) it is the ADORNEVE Nightstands Set of 2,Black Nightstand with Charging Station & Drawers. I know that one of the biggest hassles with a new bed is finding nightstands that are the right height so I hope this helps someone out.Over all I am really happy with this new bed frame! And so is the wife. Happy wife, happy life.

Very sturdy and thoughtful designI don’t write a lot of reviews but this one I had to. I can’t speak to the longevity as we did just get it but what I can say is the frame is extremely sturdy.The main reason I wanted to write this review though was because of the thoughtful design. Anyone with the bear claw or catcher’s mitt for a hand know that putting things together can be a pain in the you know what. Mainly because big hands don’t fit in small spaces. The way the frame was engineered that’s not a problem! I was easily able to fit my hands everywhere I needed to put a screw in. In addition to that while I was completely expecting a crappy allen wrench to be included and it was…BUT Zinus also included a small ratchet allen that was amazing! I added a picture of it here. I’ll be keeping that puppy for other builds.In addition instead of me needing to put 2000 screws in the slats that go across the bed, they added heavy duty velcro to hold them in place. The velcro and the ratcheting allen made putting this bed together an absolute breeze!And if that wasn’t enough…we have hardwood floors so typically bed frames slide easily when getting in and out of bed. Our last frame had wooden legs and a couple of them broke because of this. Not on this bed frame! They actually put rubber stoppers on the metal legs that don’t slide. Who knew that would be a good idea!?Overall extremely satisfied and would definitely recommend and buy this frame again!You done good Zinus. You done good.

Intelligent Design/Remarkably SturdyCal King – product arrived safely protected, even though the heavy, large box showed some expected shipping wear and tear. Inside, the most innovative packing system I’ve seen in a bed frame system. The back of the headboard has a large, zippered cavity that contained parts and once assembled, serves are a storage area for winter/summer bed coverings. The headboard design and attachment to the foundation frame is such that the back of the headboard fits flush to the wall. This is a big plus for stability and quietness. Most headboard and frames are kept off the wall because the leg location in relation to the wall base and quarter round molding. The platform has ample slats to properly support our foam mattress. And the frame is rock solid. Material color and quality were as expected. Zinus is top notch and a welcome value. Well done, team.

Beyond expectationsLives up to all the hype and more!!!!Packaging is ingenious. Assembly is ridiculously simple; all the bolts/screws are already in place. Simply loosen, slide the pieces into place and tighten. It is super sturdy and solid. It took slightly longer to be delivered. Once it arrived I realized it had to be due to its weight. Definitely worth the Wait.

Just buy it! I love it!After searching for a sturdy platform bed that didn’t cost a fortune, I came across this bed on Amazon. I took a chance and bought it. It came boxed well (it was very heavy so have two to carry). My husband assembled it. It took a few hours (including removing my current frame). The old frame squeaked when I moved on the bed. This bed is sturdy and doesn’t make any sound at all. My foam mattress and topper fit perfectly. The color is great and the material is nice. You cannot beat the cost of this bed. I love it! Buy it, you will not be disappointed.

Easy to assemble and no bed bugsI love this bed. It was so easy to put together I did the entire thing on my own. It is a very nice construction and durable but soft fabric. I did read all the reviews and was concerned for the bed bug claim. I checked mine before moving it into my bedroom and saw no signs of bugs of any kind. The packaging was also compact ingenious with all the pieces inside the headboard itself. The only thing I would change is that it was a touch higher off the ground.

Awesome BedI don’t normally write reviews, but this bed is fantastic. Ordered a king size for a new memory foam mattress. It could not have been more easy to put together. The bolts are all have the same sized head on them, and they include a little ratchet that does the job. Easy instructions with not many steps. The supports are steel, the wooden slats fit great and you don’t need to screw them down either. It looks great in our condo. I would purchase this again in a heartbeat if I need another bed.

No Bed Bugs!!!After reading through the reviews, we were really scared of this having bed bugs but for every one bad review there are 20 good ones so we opened it outside and inspected every inch. We had this bed now for 6 weeks and we absolutely love it! It looks very nice and expensive and is sturdy and doesn’t make a sound. It seems that the company fixed the bed bug problem! 100% recommend!!!
