best purchase for my back – better than ikea lonsetTLDR: I purchased this to replace IKEA lonset on a MALM (KING) bed. It is a bit smaller than the bed, but it still works perfectly fine. And I stopped getting my back pain. BEST DECISION I EVER MADE. It has a metal frame with sturdy wood support horizontally.long version:I purchased IKEA Malm (king) & lonset support. I started getting my back hurt for over a month and I thought I just had the ‘break’ phase getting used to the new mattress. Later I realized that my side of the bed was sunken way more than the other side. The wood slat was already bent and lost their original shape which led to uneven support for my back. Then a long journey started to find a replacement for it. This was the best thing I could find in this price range. It was a great choice – it was very sturdy and gives uniform support on both sides of the mattress – unlike lonset, which gives two separate support for a king bed.It is very sturdy and my back pain is gone after the first night on this new slat!I recommend! Get rid of your junk ikea slats.

Slats and Frame: Full SizeThe box it came in was not in perfect condition but there was no damage to the bed rails, the wood slats and hardware. The wood slats come with velcro attached so they won’t move when laid on the rails. They come in 2 sections which I find easy to carry. The wood slats are light but very strong. There is a sticky part on the wood slats used to put stick to your mattress so it won’t slide. Not sure if that helps but I do know my daughters mattress doesn’t slide. The metal has no sharp corners and very light.I assembled it my self and took me less than 20 minutes. A little wrench is included which I thought was GENIOUS because it made the assembly so much smoother. There was a manual included but I didn’t use it because… well, it’s pretty obvious how it’s supposed to look and the parts are numbered. It fit perfectly under my daughter’s Serta Brindale 4.0 Firm Full size mattress.Overall I am very pleased with my purchase. I am especially glad my daughter’s bed is no longer on the Floor!

easy and sturdyI’d been wanting to switch from a box spring to platform but not buy a whole new full-sized bed. I saw this and went for it. It was very easy to assemble, did it in about 15 minutes by myself. The metal frame fits perfectly on top of my current metal frame. I am going to invest in some zip ties, though, to make sure the metal platform frame stays on the metal frame as it shifted off center as I pushed the bed trying to find the perfect position in the room. I don’t believe the mattress will slide off from any shenanigans that might be gotten up to. I’m happy.

2 person assembly + read the instructions HELPFULFor starters the packages arrived fairly quick. Long and skinny so make sure you have adequate space to work in. Once I figured out where all the pieces went set up was pretty straight forward. I had to undo one side of the frame since I put it together wrong hence the read instructions above. When it comes to assembling the frame it is easier to have 2 people (as the metal pieces hurt when you drop them on your feet) ☹️ Anyhow I am very pleased with the support the frame with slats provides. I am not sure about the pain relief since my mattress sits on the frame so n/a to me. I’d add a picture but my mattress is too heavy to lift by myself. 😂. One more note the tool (some type of cool ratchet) that comes with this assembly kit is Awesome!!!!! So, it took me about 10 minutes to sort pieces and 30 min to put together. Pleased with the purchase.

Exactly what I wantedBought a king size to replace my taller boxspring so my dogs can jump on the bed easier. First impressions are that this seems sturdy and easy to put together. No complaints at all.

Smaller than a fullThis box frame is smaller than a standard full size bed buyer be ware I had to make additions to this to make it work it Wld just fall straight through the bed frame

King size Malm (ikea) + sleep number mattress + these slats = 🙂I bought a king size Malm bed from ikea and didn’t feel their slat options would be supportive enough, so I ordered this. Honestly the box arrived a bit damaged, but everything inside was for the most part okay. The slats were super easy to assemble, I did it all by myself and it was pretty fast and simple.I had purchased a Zinus bed previously and was happy that the assemble of these slats was just as simple and easy. These fit inside the Malm bed, but it’s not as snug as I wanted it to be, so I actually cut a chunk of styrofoam from another package we had ordered and placed it in the gap between the metal frame of this and the edge of the bed frame. It works great, and will hopefully keep it from sliding, moving, or anything if the sort. I’d rather have it have extra space that needs filled than be too big and not fit, so no complaints. We have an old sleep number mattress, and these slats seem to be supportive enough. I know it’s not made for that kind of mattress, and technically the slats aren’t as close as is recommended, but finding something supportive enough, other than putting down straight up plywood, is tough. This does the job. The mattress is old, so I’m not worried about the warranty—I think technically the slats should be two inches apart or closer? This is over two but less than three (I didn’t measure). Using these slats with our sleep number mattress hasn’t been an issue. We’ve been sleeping on the combo for about a week and it’s nice and comfy! The slats at first seemed maybe a little flimsy? But once we put the mattress on, it feels nice and solid. I’m glad we purchased!
