10 reviews for ZINUS Dori Upholstered Platform Bed Frame with Wingback Headboard / Mattress Foundation / Wood Slat Support / No Box Spring

  1. Andrea Guy

Love itThis was so easy to put together. Behind the headboard is a zipper compartment to store all the pieces if you were to need to store or move it! Very nice quality and looks very nice! The tool that came with it to put it together is nice and not a cheap flimsy one. Great quality for the money. I got it put together by myself in about 30 minutes. It is very lightweight to move around. Love it and it’s everything I wanted!!

  2. Melanie McLaurin

I really like itHeadboard is not as tall as I thought it would be, but its nice and sturdy.

  3. Mark Wieland

Very impressedWe needed a new bed because my fat ass broke our Ikea bed. Something well made and affordable was important to me. We bought this bed because of the reviews and they were spot on. The packaging was impressive, similar to how Apple does it. The bed came with quality tools and SPARE PARTS. Who does that? Everything was logical to put together and once assembled as strong and sturdy as ever. The only downside is that the package weighs a ton, but that is due to the quality of the product. Buy this without reservation!

  5. Nisha

Very sturdy bedI put this bed together, by myself, and it didn’t take that long. We have the king size platform bed. At first I thought it was pretty weak because I had plopped down after setting it up and I heard the Velcro move under me but, we quickly realized it doesn’t make a sound. We weigh about 390lbs together and we toss and turn some nights, our mattress stays in its place and the entire frame has no movement. I would 100% recommend this bed. It has a nice upholstery on the headboard and takes our weight pretty well. Looks great, super sturdy and great value for the money!

Easy to assemblePurchased for a new home and it arrived on time. Easy to assemble, I had a little trouble with the side wings on headboard-a little tight space trying to tighten everything , but lined up like it should. The bed is very very low so I suggest a mattress at least 14 inches. This is the first bed frame I have purchased that did not need a box spring and it works perfectly without one. The slats come all attached together you just lay it down at headboard area and lift and pull to bottom of bed. Plenty of support slats. (I was pleasantly surprised). I had a picture but accidentally deleted it before this review. I love that all the pieces are zippered inside the headboard I put this together myself and I’m in my sixties. I love the finished look.

The other reviews did not lie, great piece of furniture and relatively easy to assembleFirst thing: there was NO and hasn’t been any evidence of bed begs.Second: it was super heavy and fortunately since I live in a condo so I was able to have the delivery people bring it into my room. They were efficient and polite. Gave advance notice that they were nearby and came during the window of time I requested.Third: as you can see in my photos the items were all packed up inside the zippered headboard and I cosign that the rachet Allen wrench was very useful to get the work done with ease.Fourth: it took me about 3 hrs on my own to finish putting together the bed (I’m 5’2, 220 lb) and I feel like I could have finished it sooner if I was I in a hurry. I was just taking my time while also binging a show on Netflix so obviously I wasn’t completely focused on the job.It has been a few weeks and I can honestly say that I love my bed. It was an upgrade to a queen so it’s nice to have more space. The headboard is firm to support you sitting up and also very squishy. Nice alternative to a hard wall. I would highly recommend it. I was a little nervous about the wingback part but it gives it a classy look. I used a 10 in memory foam mattress and as you can see it doesn’t sit too high on the bed so easy to get on. Very sturdy and I have no regrets. Be more than happy to give an update in a few months!

Life saverI purchased a bed from Bed, Bath, & Beyond for double the price of this and it lasted not even 30 days. In a hurry I ordered this bed from Amazon. I’ve had it for months and it still looks and feels brand new. Very sturdy and light weight. I love it !

Amazon assembled it,It is sturdy & Strong.

  10. M. McCue

Not so impressed when I first opened the box, but was quite impressed once I got the bed assembledThis bed came in one box, and I couldn’t figure how it all fit. Turns out that the back of the headboard has a zippered compartment where almost everything folded and fit. Very shrewd design. As I pulled things out, I also wondered about the quality. Turns out that was mostly not an issue in the end.The assembly of the bed also showed shrewd design. It was much more solid than the frame my king bed had been on before. Everything was easy to unfold and assemble. I recommend oiling the screws before tightening them. I also recommend putting this bed on sliders once you get it assembled and before you put the mattress on, so you will be able to move it easily for cleaning.I was very impressed with the overall product in the end. Nice job Zinus.I only had a few relative negatives, which I will also forward to the manufacturer (and who invited comments.)The backing of the headboard, with a zippered compartment, probably should be made of stronger material. It seems like it could be punctured easily. Related to that is the fact that the headboard slides right up against the wall. If you have an outlet that you need to use in the area behind the headboard, you will need to purchase one of those extension cords that has a flat head that turns the wires sideways. Otherwise, I expect the backing will be punctured. The instructions are generally pretty good and easy to follow. The hardware is in a shrink-wrap package and the company gives you some extra pieces. The only time it got difficult was in attaching the side headboard struts to the main headboard, one of the last steps. The instructions somehow fail to tell you that you need to start the screws from holes drilled inside the side of the headboard, and you need to use washers that are provided with the other hardware. (The washers are the only pieces of hardware not numbered or lettered, and one needs a magnifying glass to see them in one of the drawings.) A minor inconvenience but one that could be easily corrected with better drawings and ID.
