Easy Install + Made Bed ComfortableI have a memory foam mattress, but had it on a platform bed frame and it was not that comfortable. The mattress would slide around (frame was metal) and it just felt like it was lacking support. I also recently moved out and into my first apartment (yay adulting at 33), and my dad gave me my old bedframe (that I hadn’t used in 12+ years), and decided I needed to buy a box spring.I searched locally and everyone wanted to charge $150+ for a basic box spring. So I came to Amazon and found this one. It was shipped fast, assembled in literal minutes, and has been fairly sturdy since installing it (1 month). My bed feels way more comfortable now, and I don’t feel like my mattress is gonna slide off the bed any time soon.Very happy with my purchase.

Very good – just short of greatNo question – this is a solid foundation. But putting it together and the quality of the wood slats are issues. I see no way one person can put this together completely. One side of the metal rail was slight twisted, enough that the screw hole was just off and that made it hard to finish putting in the main support. Then the middle bar (and why there is a middle bar for a full size foundation is a mystery to me) cannot be screwed in unless you have someone or something propping up the other end. If they gave you some blocks that were the right height to prop it up, then okay, that part is single person friendly. Next, the weight of this thing when it’s done (and again, I ordered a full) is very heavy – which is good, but not good if you have to lift it to put on bed rails. If those rails are metal, okay, little easier. But if they are wood, you run the risk of damaging them. Next problem, after you put on the slats, and trying to do that yourself is not easy as you have to press down on the velcro (52.5″ wide for a full) at the sides to get the slats to lay properly. Next problem, when you go to put the cover on, how are you going to hold the frame up to put the cover on? You have to remove a couple of slats, lift the foot side up, slide the partially unzipped cover on, then place the frame down, re-attach the slats, and then lift it up from the center bar at the head end to finish pulling up the cover. Then you have to zip the cover. The ratchet they give you is ok, but it doesn’t work that well. They should say what size square bit you need, then you could just pop that bit in a cordless screwdriver and you would be done faster. In the end, it’s a solid foundation and I’m glad I ordered it, but for $200 this was expensive and a pain in the neck to put together.

Great Box Spring/Bed Base after a few minor modificationsSecond review I’ve written for this – not sure why the first was removed….This has been a great box spring/bed base so far. It’s been in use for several months and I have yet to hear a crack, squeak, or even a peep out of it. After years of dealing with crappy wooden box springs that always broke due to the wide slat spacing, I decided to give the metal setup a try, and I’m glad I did!First, let me say the 9 inch foundation is TALL! It was an adjustment at first, but now that we’re used to it, we like having a taller bed. Using this in combination with a 14″ mattress on an elevated sleigh bed, we’re nearly 3 feet off the ground!Second, after reading some reviews prior to purchasing, I saw where others noted that the velcro slat system left a lot to be desired. Once user added screws to the slats to hold them in place and prevent noise, so I did the same when I was putting this together. Drilled holes along the frame and slats and then secured the slats to the frame with screws, and everything is nice and tight. Granted, this took quite a bit of extra time and effort (not including the mess in my living room from drilling), but I’m glad that I made the modification as it seems to really have improved this product. Again – I have absolutely no noise coming from the foundation – I’ve tried and I can’t make it squeak!Getting the cover on was very easy – I did have help but it wasn’t a fight at all.Overall, I’m very pleased with this. It provides great support for my gel mattress and is silent. Total game changer when you’re used to the traditional pallet-board box springs. I plan to purchase another one in the future for our guest room bed, and I have absolutely no reason to look elsewhere. This is a great product and it’s really not hard to assemble, even if you do the modifications like me and several others.Highly recommended!

I love itThis was really easy to put together. Unfortunately, the holes didn’t line up in three areas and I could get the bolt in, but only three bolts out of this entire boxspring did not affect it. I just left them out and the boxspring is great! I love it. Great product! I’m sure if I was stronger and able to man handle this thing I could’ve got the holes to line up but I’m just a small 5’5 at 120 lbs so I’m not man handling anything. No big deal on the five bolts hence the 5/5. It’s great! Thank you for making such an awesome, yet affordable product.

  5. E

Good! Just what I was looking for.I bought a cheap bed frame which said it did not need a bed spring from Amazon, it was pretty terrible. I bought this box spring to go with that bed frame. It was pretty easy to put together. It took me a few hours as one person, and I have a very small room. But the instructions were very straightforward. Everything is listed and they include a tool that makes it a lot easier. It is heavy. But it is pretty sturdy, the wood planks are pretty cheap wood, but it will hold. Overall, I’m very happy I bought this. I can finally get some sleep.

This one is the best! This queen metal box spring was a breeze to assemble and the quality of materials far exceeded my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised by the cover. It went on easily and the sides are a soft quilted material that resembles the sides of a mattress. The metal frame is very sturdy and constructed well. We bought the 4″ height and it fits perfectly inside our bed frame. If you are searching for a box spring, I highly recommend this one!

  7. Joao Ferreira

Excellent qualitI have to say this is easily one of the best quality products that I have ever purchased that I had to put together myself. It is extremely impressive how easy it was to assemble the king size boxspring and how perfect all the parts were. Every single part was very well made and very easy to put together. The end result is a high quality box spring that rivals the ones you can buy from the store at a fraction of the price

  8. Evan

Remarkably easy to assembleLet me start with I the furthest from a handyman that a person can be. But, the instructions and the supplied tools made this a breeze. It’s suggested in a few other reviews that a 2nd person may be helpful or needed. But, I did it on my own in a very short amount of time and literally ZERO cussing. I’m really impressed with the sturdiness but still light weight of the box springs. I highly recommend this product.

  9. Unicorn Diwitski

Honestly exactly what I neededGot the 4″ to elevate my mattress. Exactly what I wanted/ needed. I think my mattress became twice as comfortable after placing the box spring/slats underneath. Great support. Easy to assemble. Just remember you have to zipper it into that case so may want to lay the liner down first or I just wrapped the frame like you would a pillow into a pillow case that was a little difficult since it’s so snug. Anyway. All good. Would recommend.

  10. Junior Chester

Very easy to assemble! This is the second Zinus bed I’ve purchased. Engineering was spot on when time to assemble. Took about 20 mins start to finish (including reading the instructions). Trick(s) is lots of room, dry-fit first (don’t screw tight until ready to do all of them), lay slats from the ends (inward) – one at a time, and stand on end to fit the cover. Quick and EASY!
