Attractive and punches well above its weight classThis is a very pretty bed. The main value here is definitely the mid-century modern style and its reddish-walnuty look. This is the kind of design I would expect from the West Elm, CB2, etc. For the price, I think this is really hard to beat if you want the MCM, wooden headboard type of look.Constructing this was easy and quick for one person. The instructions are slightly unconventional with its number sticker system, but still easy to follow. I felt the bed was engineered with user-friendliness in mind.The parts were well-packed and clean. The styrofoam padding was wrapped in plastic to prevent styrofoam bits from getting everywhere. Comparable to how an IKEA product would be flat-packed.I previously had a (similarly-priced) IKEA Malm, which was built like a particle board tank. In comparison, this bed is less sturdy, but still sturdy enough where I’m not worried about it in regular use. This is just not a bed I can freely shove around a room like the Malm.I’m using the IKEA HAUGSVÄR mattress, and it’s the perfect height for the tallest setting on the headboard. Very happy with the fit.The main weakness of the bed is how the headboard is attached to the frame with 3 boards. There is some give/flexibility when pushing against headboard. To work around this, they give you 3 pads that you attach to the back of the headboard. Then you place the bed against a wall. This works just fine in my case, but more expensive beds will have the headboard fully extend down to the frame, much sturdier.Overall, I’m happy with my purchase because I really like the look of the bed. This is a well-designed product from the packaging to the finish.

Beautiful mid century bed and easy to assembleThe easiest bed I’ve ever assembled. With 2 people it took under an hour. Everything aligns perfectly, the design of the holes and screws is not complicated (I’m looking at you IKEA!). Everything is numbered and matches up – you barely even need the instructions! It is also real wood and feels very sturdy. It has two sticky strips so your mattress won’t slide off and even comes with felt pads so the screws on the headboard don’t scratch your wall. It’s very thoughtfully designed. Overall, well worth the money.

Great bed. Wood smells a bitBest directions and build setup I’ve ever had for any furniture. A+. Super easy. But the slats have a chemically treated odor to them that hasn’t gone away after 2days. Hoping it dissipates soon. Love the bed though

headboard is very heavy but held up by only 3 boardsthe boards holding up the heavy headboard are not sturdy enough so the headboard is wobbly. I wish the headboard was 6 inches taller so it is more visible above the pillows. The headboard is pretty so I’d like to see more of it. I love how the mattress sits right on top of the frame which makes it easy to make the bed and tuck sheets underneath the mattress. I do recommend the bed for the price and it’s pretty. Just wish the headboard was more securely attached and taller so it can be seen above the pillows.

Just what I wanted!SO happy with this bed! I had an existing headboard and just needed to replace my bed frame. Luckily this came with 4 side rails instead of the style where the headboard is part of the 4th rail; so I was able to keep my original headboard. Only odd thing is that my mattress is the same exact size as the frame instead of there being a little ledge. Maybe I constructed it wrong! Either way I’m loving it!

Easy assembly, but not perfectThis was very easy to assemble! Took about an hour with my partner. We ordered the twin size bed frame for reference. It’s worth noting that the twin size does not have a center support underneath the middle of the bed. It just has four corners and two more legs along the sides, therefore, I hope it proves to be sturdy.The only issue I had with building it is that there were some random holes made for hardware which nothing would fit through, so I hope I wasn’t missing something. It was very confusing at times and we had to backtrack to make sure we did everything correctly. There are no words, just pictures.For anyone who wants to know, I ordered a new twin size memory foam mattress to go with the frame (I ordered the brand “Vibe” off Amazon and would recommend) and it’s a 12 inch. It fits PERFECTLY, and the mattress comes right up to the bottom of the headboard. This was important because I wanted to be able to see as much of the headboard as possible without there being a gap between the mattress and the bottom of the headboard. Could not be any happier about that! It’s the perfect match.With this being said, I feel like it’s overpriced. I get that it’s “solid wood” but it’s very light. Unbelievably light really. The boards to support the mattress especially feel flimsy. If you/your kids get rowdy or jump on the bed, it probably won’t handle that well.All in all, I like the bed. It was easy to assemble. Very simple, albeit, to a fault (picture instructions). It is really not anything special, but I’m happy with the style. I just hope it holds up over time.UPDATE 10/5/2022One of the pieces of wood that support the headboard snapped clean in half. I messaged customer support about a replacement and they proved to be difficult, asking that I find the bed’s original building instructions, circle the parts that need replacing, and then email them with the pictures. Obviously I still did not have these instructions on hand as it’s been a couple years since the bed was built. I was also informed I would need to ship the headboard back for them to review before considering replacement options, which doesn’t necessarily seem unfair but is certainly a hinderance and timely process, not to mention it requires disassembling and reassembling the bed. Joy.Furthermore, the wood making up this piece which supports the headboard looks to be very cheap, like particle board on the inside. It literally feels like cardboard when I touch where it broke. As you can see in the picture, it is a clean straight break. Very strange. This is not something that should happen. This could have caused my son serious injury had it snapped in the middle of the night when he was sleeping. Of all places to skimp on quality wood during production, the pieces supporting and suspending the headboard over someone’s ACTUAL HEAD makes the least sense to me.

LOVE THE BED!!!I love this bed. It looks great. However the instructions for this bed are maddening. What looked like an easy to set up bed could not have been more frustrating. I finally just tossed the instructions and did it my way lol.

In Love, For Once!The bed itself is very lovely but I have just 2 problems.1. I bought a standard size full mattress and it hangs over the edges. The platform bed is supposed to be full size but it’s too small for a full sized mattress, which bummed me out the most. It’s not very noticeable at all and my comforter covers up the parts that hang over. Still a little upsetting though.2. This is just me being picky but it was suggested to be a two person, get it assembled in about an hour situation, but it was not. Granted, I was working alone but it took me 3 hours to put together myself, the video was NOT helpful and the instructions were so-so.I still think this is a great bed frame overall and to anyone with the extra money and the desire to purchase, go for it.

Some legs don’t reach the groundAs in the title, the middle support’s legs don’t quite reach the floor. The mid-body one does under some weight, and I’m pretty sure the foot one does also, but the one nearest the head of the bed seems to hover a half inch above my floor. It is not perfectly level flooring, but based on other reviews, this might just happen sometimes. Same story for the outer legs located mid-body. The four corners are firmly on the ground. I bet they made it this way to make sure those ones are the ones that bare the majority of the weight.I do not think this problem affects the sturdiness of the bed. It doesn’t creak or bend when I get on it and move around, and the headboard is sturdy enough for me, a 175 lb man, to lean back against. I would recommend making sure it’s against the wall if you wanted to add another person – just so it doesn’t have to load the fastening bolts over and over (possibly fatiguing the joints to the point of failure). I’m sure it would handle it fine, but since it does bend backwards a bit under my weight, a wall to support it would be a good move. Definitely not a wobbly headboard, though.The bed was easy enough to assemble. Match the numbers together in the order shown and it is assembled. Includes all tools necessary. Styrofoam was wrapped in plastic so it doesn’t break apart and get all over your house. Bad for environment, good for customer’s patience.The mattress does not slide around on the frame. The sticky strips used to accomplish this do a much better job than I thought they would. The whole frame slides before the mattress does. Do note that my bed is on hardwood floors.Great bed! Style is simple and materials are high quality. The value for the price is excellent, and I don’t see why I would need any more of a bed even after I eventually live with my significant other. This should last me well into the future and I would point any friend towards this bed if they were looking for something of this style.
